Actually, Quintin, you can "fry" it in the microwave: just put the bologna on a paper
towel, and zap it for about 35-40 seconds. That's what I do. That way, you have a
heated slice of bologna, and the grease is on the paper towel.

Since it is now about time for lunch, here's the lunch/dinner menu for today:

lasanga w/garlic toast, and garden salad.

I remember having fried luncheon meat as a lunch in high school on occasion. I don't remember what it was fried in (chili sauce?), but it tasted great to me!

my allergies, my voice has been scratchy for a week now, and now my

This is not a fun time of year - and the first freeze is way off in the distance. But....and this is a secret......sometimes the ails you have as a younger person go away with age...

I think CW is going to crack up over what I am about to say right now.
Today at lunch on my job I blew up a hot dog and I metalted plastic today in the microwave. It was hallarious (spelling). Everyone was sitting around the table then allof a sudden everyone heard this BOOM and PoP! Man I turned some heads today. But, I'm pretty proud of myself because, I've never been able to blow up anything in the mirco before so I should say that that was a mission (that I didn't plan) accomplished.

I also found out that the expected 154 families comming up from New Orleans (spelling) didn't happen, only 33 families were present. Philadelphia set up this new program to help the victums of Katrina. Many of the families didn't want to travel that far north so most of them ended up in Texas. I do have to say that some of the citizes in Philly are annoyed over the fact that the mayor John Street decided to provide this shelter and security for Katrina victums when all along the city had the money to help it's own poor or homeless people struggling to make it. I worry about the Street administration quite frankly I don't like Mayor Street.

Is everyone enjoying the lasagna, garlic toast and salad? Sure hope so. Spent
quite a bit of time making enough to have for the lunch crowd and the

Sarah, guess there are some more of us who have put something in the micro-
wave, and had that happened, one time or another. I remember one time, I put
a sandwich from a fast food place, in the microwave to warm up. Didn't realize
that the wrapper was foiled-lined[:I]

Put a CD disk in the microwave, with the label down. Set it for 5 to 8 seconds. It's cool!! (make sure it's one you don't want to listen to anymore) those free AOL disks work great too.

P.S. Does not harm you or your microwave, just the cd. (from personal experience many times over)

I've "melted" a few styrofoam containers from take out food,and
burned popcorn several time;but I guess my best one,was putting
a coffe cup that had a 'gold foil' band around the lip of the cup. It made
quite a bit of popping and cracking noises,but I don't think that I've
blown any thing up,YET in a microwave.

their aerodynamics too much when you want to use them as mini-frisbies.[:-,][swg]

That's the accepted method of "declassifying" a classified CD (ie, secret stuff on it). Only need about 2 seconds, though, and it's unreadable.

putting out the food on the breakfast bar: good job!!

Lunch today will be: fish and fries. If you want your fish as a sandwich, will serve
the fish w/bread. Plenty of seafood sauce and tarter sauce for the fish. Also have
plenty of ketchup for the fries (or if you like ketchup on your fish).

Will break from the regular Friday night menu, and will make this the pizza night.

What happened today?? OH I spilled 10 gals of coolant today on the floor as I was replacing a coolant filter at work. That wasn't too fun. I had to clean all that up man was that a mess.

AS far as blowing things up in the microwave goes. I think I'll have to try that cd thing in an old microwave that I have. So every time I want to see a lighting show and there is no lighting storm outside all I have to do is put the cd in the micro!!!!!!!! MAN what a life. lol

Been there, done that, Sarah. Was replacing a block heater on one of the Detroits at St. Mary's Medical in Hobart, IN (back in my Illinois Generator Tech. Days), and made quite a mess of the floor. Tried to injure myself, too. As I was carrying the old heater out to the truck, I slipped on the spilled coolant, and did what was probably the closest I've ever come to the splits. [:0]
