Hawaii? I wish!
TWC was running a crawl last night warning that the storm that's coming up out of the Gulf may dump up to an inch and a half of rain on us, which would be OK any other time, but it's been raining for the past week and most of our streams are already almost banks full, not to mention that the ground is thoroughly soaked.
A neighboring FD had a house fire the other morning - poor guy just got out with what he was wearing, couldn't get to the phone or his truck keys, had to stand outside and watch his home burn until someone finally drove by (it was 4 am). The local highway department brought a Gradall in to help overhaul the ruins. The ground was so soggy that it immediately was buried up to the axles....
Snow is looking better all the time...

I think the coffee urn is around 55 gallons or so... Plenty to go around.
We have 33 degrees here in Sioux Falls, the wind is blowing out of the north at 21 mph and gusting to 31 mph. There is a threat of snow showers here up until about 2:00 this afternoon. We had a little bit of rain earlier this morning and our temperature is supposed to max out at 38 degrees this afternoon.
I'm keeping a close watch on the weather in my area for the next six weeks or so. I will be working for our local chapter of the Salvation Army as a bell ringer this Christmas season, and I know from past experience to bundle up and dress in several layers. This is a paid position and it will generate some badly needed income for me. I start work this Friday morning and will be asigned to our local Hobby Lobby store.

cloudy and drizzly.typical november weather.better get the coffee mug out for the mookie.
Good evening!
Much to my dismay, it looks like there is a little too much dry air for much significant rain or snow around Omaha tonight with areas more towards Grand Island getting the snow. I guess our turn will come.
I'm always trying to figure out why there will be a day with no homework followed by a day with tons of homework. Yesterday there was absolutely no homework. Tonight I have World History, Chemistry, Theology, Spanish and English. I guess that means I better get out of here and get busy working on it!

Sounds good to me, too...
We had a Siamese who decided to become an alarm clock. The only problem was that she "went off" a little earlier every morning, until she finally got "thrown across the room" (almost literally) and decided maybe it wasn't the best gig.
My pup often decides that mid-afternoon on days off and weekends is nap time. I often indulge her...
nobody wants burgers and fries??? matthew is so dissapointed.will take some for supper tonight.

Good morning everyone. It appears that I am the first one in the Diner this morning, so I've got the coffee brewing, I've put the hot chocolate out and I've mixed a fresh batch of orange juice. And I'll take charge of serving breakfast this morning as well.
On the menu for this morning; oatmeal, freshly baked cinnamon rolls with lots of butter, belgian waffles topped with your favorite fruits, blue berry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage.
