GCOR Rule 1.5:
The use or possession of alcoholic beverages while on duty or on company property is prohibited. Employees must not have any measureable alcohol on their breath or in their bodily fluids when reporting for duty, while on duty, or while on company property.

The use or possession of intoxicants, over the counter or prescription drugs, narcotics, controlled substances, or medication that my adversely affect the safe performance is prohibited while on duty or on company property, except medication that is permitted by a medical pratitioner and used as prescribed. Employees must not have any prohibited substances in their bodily fluids when reporting for duty, while on duty or while on company property.

Looks like the railroad industry spells it out pretty clear there. This sounds like a whole lot of discusion for nothing.

And like stated before railroaders get a lot of drug tests like stated before. BNSF does hair test pre-hire, FRA random drug tests, and drug tests if you do something stupid like putting an engine on the ground or running through a switch.

Let's see.....Red Green to the rescue, Red Green to the resc-yoo-hoo!!!
Hurtling towards Vancouver in his baked bean powered speeder, with a whole lot of duct tape, Red hopes to ease that port's container congestion....

Speaking of Asian goods in bondage, I knocked rixflix into google and got Trains Forums and somebody's Asian bondage website!!!

Last night's headlines: "Wings Put Away Banjoes, Pick Up Sticks" and "Still Hope for Habs"

Bon chances mon ami's

We'll see what happens tonight.

Redwings are tied up 2-2 with Nashville (thier sticks look like banjo's), could go either way.

Montreal looks in trouble with Boston 3-1, dunno 'bout that one.

Yeah Rick- sure we can be firends, matter of fact, i've forogtten what i was angry about?

As bruce almighty would Say- IT'S GOOOOOD!

*******************

Just wanted to point out- Today, an auction held a copy of a 1611 edition of the play Hamlet, by Shakesper Which failed to sell, because no one would meet the minimum biding price-

The asking price was 2 Million, Howveer the bare minimum was 1.5 million, and the highest bid was 750, 000. Thatys worth a laugh!

Talk about Slings and Arrows!

Just though i'd post that, found it in oddly enough section of yahoo news.

This thread is all over the place.
If it was a new one about the hockey playoffs, Bergie would have killed it like he killed the American Idol thread.started by Doggy and Dougal There you were Dougal, deer in my headlights. I'm after you next!!!
Thought your parents had pulled the plug on your PC after my "man invented god" post. I really meant to say the whole thing, "man invented God invented man invented God invented man......".Chew on that a bit and wonder, WONDER, why God and us humans seem to care so much about each other.

Jessie2500......what?

Are you sure you're in the right site?

We'll try to accomodate, so open up a bit and just roll!!!

robmik.....check out my postings here for::::
Sarcasm, next to tabasco sauce, it always laughs last.
Irony, with the organic meats.
Subtlety , over there with herbal teas. Red Zinger is my personal favorite.
Conjugation, go to the drug counter and ask Pharmacy Phil. He won't embarass you about visiting your sweetie in prison.
Incoherent but funny stories, plenty here, Ask my AA sponsor over there making the zip-my-lips sign. Ricky Gates, I'm a little eccentric, but get back on The Main when I can.

Doggy, good to see your mea culpa's Expect you'll be thinking better of yourself if you keep up the good work.

Kevin, now that I agree not to push your buttons (via Doggy or directly0 I hope you may consider us friends. It was lonely and mostly hilarious bringing the Dog to the newspapers, your supporting him didn't help, but now everyone is patting him on the head!!!

edblysard, ddperrydispatch and now mph101, csx engineer, you've all been great in your postings on this topic. Hope we'll hear more about how Rule G affects employees really living with it. I think it's testing part is necessary but also an affront to men of personal integrity, like yourselves.

vsmith, "It's twue, it's twue......" My left ear and left leg and foot are pretty screwed up, but everything on the right side is perfect, almost Adonis-like. Now up the middle we've got Freehan catching, McAuliffe at second, Stanley moving in to play short, hasn't played it for a while, but can pick 'em,. Northrup over to center. Kaline, injured and.alternating with Cash at first much of this season, back in right field ....didn't think I'd go there. Vic..... The Topic....I can't see!!!!

dharmon, g-string rules don't interfere with any activity. My ex-wife remarked in the jacuzzi this past weekend about my tan-line. My response was "Well I discovered the roof over my apartment house was a nude beach!!!" I discovered this too late last summer, had to buy sunglasses for staring instead of nonchalanting, I'm prepared for an earlier start this summer, you can bet. Too bad everyone up there is gay or *** but the scenery is very well done, indeed.

And like Easter evening with my sweetie, it's about sublimation, the trip itself , not the getting there that counts. Am I getting Tibetan? E.M. Frimbo again!!!

The loofah stuff was terrific but she scaped bare my iniquities, and somehow everyone I've met this week says I glow.

Don't forget to have fun, I advised my son when he graduated monday, otherwise you'll fixate on sobriety and may burn out.. He's got a lot of support but must do the work himself.

A-LOL-HA, Rick

Though I think the law is needed and has some merit, I resent having to prove I am not drugged or drunk. Anytime you give a sample of your very body, be it urine, blood, hair, etc you are giving away the most prized possion you will ever own, and test do run amuck. Test of your very body can be used to test for things that may have no bearing on the events being tested for. Don't believe for a minute that the only thing being tested for is just illegal drugs or booze.

Hey if I am the employer once I got a sample from you I might as well test to see if you are on anit-depressiant meds,....don't want any mental cases driving my equipment,.... got to get rid of them even though they are legally prescribed drugs.

...might as well test to see what other medications the person might be on too. Even though they have to take a physical, they may be on drugs that indicate a potenial health problem that will cost my business a lot in future health insurance, time to fire there butt too.

Testing is needed, true enough, & thats too bad. But drugs & booze aren't knew.......Casey Jones can vouch for that!!!!

Be careful about giving up your rights, they are hard to get back once gone without a hell of a fight.

What does this have to do with the 5 bucks and sixer of Labatt's Kevin owes me?

Oh wait a minute! This is actually ON TOPIC! wow did we off on a tangent!

Mike, As you say, these laws are needed, but its a tough thing to balance out. How much personal liberty does a certian job require us to give up? I dont know, but I view it like this.

If your in a position where you could be putting other peoples lives at risk, than YES you have to accept that there will be a need to test all employees for substances, it comes with the position. I shudder to think what the world would be like without these laws.

Would you want to get on a plane knowing the pilot might be high on something?

When it comes to jobs that entails public safety, its not a question of "rights" being taken away from any individual. How many times have you seen people on aircraft that were drinking like fish? They are exercising thier right to drink.

If you want to get loaded everyday then simply do not try to get a job where you are required to remain uninhindered. Sav-on doesnt care how much you smoke, work there, just dont try to fly a plane or drive a train and tell me its OK to be toking that doobie.

Theres an expectation of sobriety that comes with certain jobs, i wouldnt want a drunk cop cruising around my town, would you? Train engineer is one of those positions. Drugs, Alchohol, all effect judgement and do get people killed when they operate while intoxicated, ask Rick Gates about this one.

have a good one, Vic.

Kev, we will work out just how you'll get that sixer of Labatt's to me after Montreal gets eliminated.[:D]

Well Vic, thats what happens when you root for bad teams,

Try and choose your team a bit better next time.

And this year you not only picked a bad team, you picked the worst!

LOL

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

I always root for the underdogs! Guess I could always go back to rooting for the Anahiem Ducks, even the L.A. Kings finished better than they did this year. Thats gotta hurt!

Sorry Kev, but the Redwings will take the cup again this year!

Redwings, yeah maybe on Vorticon planet, The only thing they'll take is loss after loss, and a kick in the *** by me.

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Care to place some Canadian green on that?

Say first team that gets dropped in the playoffs pays $5 Canuck-bucks to the guy whos team thats still in the running?
