(who boy, here we go again with my really bad poems)

When outside the cab there arose such a clatter,
That he jumped from the stand to see what was the matter
away to the deck he flew like an ace,
Tripped over his grip, and fell flat on his face.

He stifled a curse meant for the bag,
picked himself up, and wiped his face with a rag.
As he ran out the door (with out tripping this time)
What should he see but a silly old mime!

"Why, what would a mine be doing on a sea going ship?"
He asked as he asked as he stood there, biting his lip
On the front porch of the old ALCo he stood,
And up came wind, and he pulled up his hood.

He sat and he puzzled, and puzzled some more,
The mine couldn’t tell him, he mimed and nothing more

that the barge struck an Iceburg.......and was starting to nose dive in to the water. The captian yelled "ABANDON SHIP!" and every on scurried off the boat. Down went the car ferry....down into the murkyness of the deep ocean depths, to become the first entire manifest train to ever end up on the ocean floor. The barge's name: "UP TITANIC"

Scaggy imediately called a team out to pull the alcos up if they could, and they did, but they were thoughly damaged. He spent the next year or so with a team of twenty alco buffs and lovers repairing them all, and finally they all working again, but they needed quite a bit of work. Finnaly he went on tour again,

re-install them, and re- lube every thign out. As this was done, Scaggy realized it was the salt from the water fouling up everything. He decided that he should air blast everything out of the moving parts. Well, about the time he finnished that, he noticed he was running short on money. He decided that he should figure out a way to raise some more, and he decided to put the engines too work. He decided he would form his own shortline. He found some track(quite a bit actually, 20 miles of main with a large town with many industries, including a branch line through town) in Maine. He decided to call his railroad The...

Scaggy wasn't becomming rich at all this though, he still had all those expenses of running a railroad. That wasn't his purpose though, to turn much of a profit. He would still occasionally take about 5 locomotives of the 15 alco locomotives and two SD45 locomotives out of his roster, and take them around the country, bringing smiles to peoples faces. At Christmas time, he decided to call CP, and ask if they'd like an ALCo or two to lead the holiday train. There imediate answer was yes, and he sent two of his C424's to lead the train. As part of the deal, he got to "barrow" the train for one night, and ran it up his line and back again.

By this time his pike had grown with another twenty-two point two mile line, this one including a mine branch that was five miles long, with only one industry at the very end, with the mine now being abondoned. He decided that, because this line had very few industries, he would turn this mine branch section into a tourist line. He bought two more ALCo's, both RS3's, to help expand his roster so he'd have room to barrow two locomotives a day from frieght runs for the tourist pulls. This became a big succsess, and he decided that he should....

look for other rail lines around the country to start doing this too just like RailAmerica or Pioneer Railcorp would do. He found a 7 mile line in the state of Wisconsin. The line ran from Manitowoc to Two Rivers. He purchased the line from CN for $100 cause they had no use for the line. He called the this tourist railroad...

and sold it back to smaller Corperations that would start agian with the same structure as the roads UP bought out. But, there was one problem.......

Scaggy was preparing to start finding sources to give the money too, he was suprised by a visitor, or actually visitors, who could be none other than.......

THE WEASELS!!!!!!!!!!

(for those of you just joining us recently, the weasels were mad, UP Big Boy engine driving maniacs, who cause alsorts of problems for about ten pages somewhere around page 40 or so in this thread. They were eventually sent off somewhere, i think to jail, but apparently are out. Now back to our current story)

Scaggy had thought that he had heard a steam engine chugg, but thought nothing of it, as his office was in the middle of the junction of three major railroads. He looked out his window for the first time, now a ltitle two late, and noticed the Big Boys tied up on the engine track.

Scaggy turned back and muttered, "What do you want?"

"Wantssss?" Replied one of the weasels. "Why, we wantsss the UP back."

"Never!" Shouted Scaggy imediately, "If if I would, I wouldn't give it abck to a bunch of weasels."

Another Weasel piped up and said "Well, Finesssss then, Butsss No, you have been warned.........Hisssssssssss"

And with that the group of Four, fireman, Brakeman, Engineer and Conductor I assume, by the way the were dressed, turned back and headed out the door. A few moments later Scaggy, saw them walk to the Engine, build up steam, and the took off. He looked up and one of them had made his way to the dispatch tower, and was preceding to give themselves clear track for wherever they were going. As he climbed down, the end of the train passed, and he hopped in the caboose. The whole consist was UP, consisting of two Big Boys, a few passenger cars, a dining car, and a sleeper, no doubt the Boss weasels quarters. As the sleeper rolled by about 50 yard from the window, he saw the shade move in one window, but he could not see who was inside.

Scaggy's first move was to......

Now on board the front car of the train, tried to get back to the sleeper. He made his way throught the cars, but when he got to the sleeper, it had a locked door. Scaggy had no choice. He had to get in the car. He snuck out a window, and preceded old west style, climbing over the roof of the car. He found the other end, and got on the porch. As he dropped down, he imediately slid to one side of the door. As he went past, he caught a glimps of one weasel, obvious a cook, working on a meal. Scaggy new he had to just get inside and listen, not take any other action yet. But, he decided this wasn't the way to do it. He snuck off at the next stop, and got a company truck back to his head quarters. There he picked up his trusty ALCo, the one he had started with in the beginning, and began pushing the ALCo as fast as he could to catch up with the train. He got to where he could see the train, about a mile away.......
