It sounds like you want to say whatever you will and call it a fact without having any opposition or fact checking to challange your (or our) inaccuracies. If you want to make sure your addition is correct you have to do some subtraction. Anyone who has posted that someone "hates UP" and are thinking of me, they're flat out wrong. I have a problem with that ( I don't want to be missquoted and rather not be missunderstood ) and would want the chance correct a fault. Sure, there are some things I don't like (and have stated them elsewhere) about them, but I never said I hate them. Youpee used to send their calendars to my Grandpa (when I was young and he was alive) because he did something for them in the '20s or '30s. I liked the yellow and gray, but back then there had silver trucks and the top of the nose was green. I like the wings, but liked them better on a verranda or 8500 gass turbine. When you don't get to see something, you want to see, very often it's a treat when you do see it and it means something. But when you see it all the time it looses meaning and might become sickening. It just sucks for me, and some others, to go someplace that used to special, because that is where we get to see Youpee trains. But now there is nothing special about it because we can see the same thing at homeI like GP38s and 38-2s just fine, but I like them better in scarlet and gray.

james saunders wrote:I don't get it... They don't like UP because it bought another railroad? thats called business. they have to much yellow in their paint scheme? thats heritage. (IMO, its an attractive scheme, especially the flag units) I guess if CN bought BNSF, CN would be hated for buying BNSF who has (probably) more railroads in it's heritage than UP ever will. If you don't like UP fine, But don't bring your dribble here.long live UP!Oh yeah, Whatever UP's actual reasons for painting the heritage units is, at least they are trying to preserve the heritage of the railroads absorbed into it, and the fact they keep some steamers and a DD40AX in operational condition is exceptional. Well done UP.

Cough, Cough...I don't think so. If your really want to get into the phonetics of "ou," then let's have at it. BTW, if that's the case, I don't like the "ee" sound phonetically. After all, eerie isn't pronounced the way you're using it.
As it is, you're doing an incredible job of acting your shoe size and not your age, whatever that may be. Even without your excuse of the phonetic spelling (which is just that, an excuse) the rest of your signature is vulgar, and NOT appropriate for some of the visitors to this site.
One final note, if you're looking for the phonetic alphabet version of "U.P." I think you'll find that the military is content to use "Uniform Papa." I suggest if you keep up with your phonetics that you consider using it.
Grow up, or find a forum more suitable to your poor tastes.
EDIT: I just noticed the absolute irony of your "ou" bit. Did you fully realize that you were using those particular letters for a vowel sound in a way other than what you decided to use it for? Check out "pronounced." Classic!
To those of you who hate UP-
That fine if you've got your opinions, but few of you have a valid reason for hating them.
"But UP took over my favorite railroad" UP does have a habit of taking over other railroads. Either they're doing sometihng right, or they've had a stroke of luck, maybe both.
About UP patching motive power- yes it does lose its "heritiage" but what does whining about it help? I can see saying once "It's too bad the CNW 8575 was patched", but no sense crying over it. She had a nice funeral (I was unable to attend) -No sense crying over spilled milk, clean it up instead.

vsmith wrote:The only beef I have with Uncle Pete has to do with the royalties licensing, not that they shouldnt have the right to do so, but the way they've been handling it. Very heavy-handed and clumsy. This has more to do with Uncle Petes legal department behaving like the Mob, "you WILL pay da protecti...I mean licensing fees.. or we'za gonna breaka you legs with court actions!" and they have been behaving with almost that kind of attitude. Even suggesting that casual photographers might be subject to legal action for simply taking pictures of anything showing UPs logo. Thats just psychotic, it seams like they've since reconsidered the more heavyhanded threats like that, but they are extracting a sizable licensing fee from model RR's and commercial photographers who will have to pass on these license fees to us, Mr & Mrs Consumer.
