To those of you who hate UP- That fine if you've got your opinions, but few of you have a valid reason for hating them. "But UP took over my favorite railroad" UP does have a habit of taking over other railroads. Either they're doing sometihng right, or they've had a stroke of luck, maybe both. About UP patching motive power- yes it does lose its "heritiage" but what does whining about it help? I can see saying once "It's too bad the CNW 8575 was patched", but no sense crying over it. She had a nice funeral (I was unable to attend) -No sense crying over spilled milk, clean it up instead.
