The stock pen was stratch built using scale 2" x 6" rails and 6" x 6" posts. The most difficult part of the project was the ramps for loading the cars. I copied a project from N Scale magezine several years ago. Theirs was done with styrene strips, but I think the wood looks better.

Mike,
I like your multiple shutes for loading. Our fences here on our farm are 2 x 6 on 6 x 6 posts. So great job.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.

I used acryilic paints (pollyscale) and then I took damp paper towel with rubbing acohol and wiped it around. Just kind of messed around with that until I got the look.
Why does everybody keep posting photos of real trains!?!? Those go on the Trains forums!

Yep. Looks like it. I'm still trying to find out if Walthers modeled it after the SOO Bensenville Shops.

It's actually a module for a modular group. I took it out one sunny fall day to take some pics to see how they would turn out. I just found a nice area in the neighborhood and a good late day sun.

My computer is kinda slow so I could get all the pictures uplaoded.

You'll never believe me then. I have a Picture of 2 ATSF Blue Bonnets in the lead. I took the picture at Rochell Ill, April 4 2007.(Some where around Early April. And no it's not April Fools) I would scan the picture in but my scanner dosn't work. I need to re-install a disk and I lost that so......You probably won't believe me untill I can get that picture in.
Love the scenic work! That's a cute Rail Motor, too.
Here's a couple of night scenes. Streetlights are by Viessmann, running off a 12V marine battery
Great pics everyone!

VERY VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE
Thanks to fifedog, loathar and trainhooked for your encouraging words. Thanks to the internet these thing can be shared around the world.
Model rail in Australia is basically no different here than anywhere else. Its just everything is done on a smaller scale meaning the number of modellers wouldnt match that of the US.
The hobby has come a long way in the last twenty years in that local prototypes are now becoming available thanks to the chinese revolution. This fact is also true I believe for US and British modellers.
Australia was also disadvantaged by states having their own gauges. There was no intermix at state borders because the gauges were different. (with and exception between Melbourne and Adelaide)
Its only now that standard gauge is available Australia wide that modellers in all states can buy locos that can be seen all over. This has allowed manufactures a greater market to recoup their outlay.
There is almost a flood of new models becoming available now and the next few years. the old hip pocket is getting a beating.
We have a good number of exhibitions Australia wide each year and our local magazine 'Australian Model Railway magazine' is published every two months and is an excellent mag.
I enjoy this forum and pick up many good ideas.
I have enclosed another three shots from my photohosting site which is at http://southcoastrail.fotopic.net/ in case you want to check out more photos.
