well, i am particularily fond of the ALCO designed diesels, yet the MLW counterparts are even better. my favorite would probably be MLW switcher and road locomotives. i also have a keen interest in EMD switchers.
PS, anything in a CPRail paint scheme!

I would say that my fav steam is the N&W Class J 4-8-4.
Fav Diesel is a toss up between the Dash 9CW, SD80MAC (NS colors are the best looking on this loco IMO) and the SD40-2.
A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."
My favourite?
Unequivocally the EMD SD90/43MAC, particularly in CP colours.
Next on the list would be CP's 9000-9024 series, the SD40-2Fs. Something about those red barns... I'd really like to see one that's been repainted in the Golden Beaver scheme. I hear there's one out there, but it's never gone past here. At least not when I was looking.
