Rob.
You shouldn't have to buy on your birthday, so I will pick up the tab this time. There is cake, or would you rather have pie.
Sue

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I'm celebrating my Birthday today by working on smaller projects, like detailing that ceiling fan for the painting porch. FIL had a fall yesterday and went to the hospital to get checked out. They are taking him off blood thinners for reasons I won't detail here (graphic). He is back at the assisted living facility and doing OK at the moment. Glad that didn't happen while he was here.
The moderators are on the fake Jeffrey right now as I've seen the troll's post count drop from -9 to -33 recently.
EDIT. And now it's -36.

Good "sermon", Philip. Last night I posted a photo in photo fun. Absent minded me was not paying attention to other posts when I did so. However, I did read some of the other posts after posting the picture. Wow. Evidently, there is at least one person who thinks its his job to control what's posted in photo fun. Also, it appears that he and others have decided Jeff's posts don't fit their narrow minded opinions about what should be posted. For some reason, they don't consider others when they do that. Obviously, others do appreciate seeing Jeff's work. One poster said the critics were bullying. I posted my two cents. I said it was good to see people enjoying themselves such as Jeff, and I did not like seeing others picking on him. If someone is not interested in Jeff's models, they can simply go to other posts that are interesting to them. I doubt anybody even saw my photo, and I'm wondering if I should post other pictures after all of that.
Mornin' all!
RECORD HIGH SATURDAY IN INDIANAPOLIS! The high in Indianapolis hit 89 yesterday afternoon, breaking the old record of 88 from 1946. This is the 2nd day in a row of a record high...and more record heat is possible today & Monday.
COLTS TAILGATE PLANNER: Weather outside of the dome on Sunday is much more suitable for Bucs fans. Hazy sunshine will quickly push temperatures from the low 80s in the morning to near 90 as you head into the dome. Here is a map of expected highs today.
Well yesterday I managed to get a few jobs on my own list of things to done. I got the lawn mowed and I did the brakes on my car. Both jobs were needing done pretty badly. Grass has been slow to grow with little rain and lots of this guy hanging around......... ...........so I've been putting it off. Yesterday it was time though, so I dragged out the mower and did my thing. And the brakes,.....well,.....I've been needing to do that for a little while and I figured I'd rather do it in 90 degree weather then 40 degree weather, ya know?
Still have a few more things on the list to take care of, but I heard that one of our church members is going to reroof his garage today, so I may just head over there and lend a hand.
On another front, God loves trolls too, though sometimes I wonder why? (Just kidding of course) Really though, it pains me that some people feel they have to resort to such tactics just to get some attention. What hard lives they must have lived to make them react to others in such a way. The thing is, they could come at this with a different approach and they would be welcomed as one of the group. Kinda sad really. In the end though, it just goes to show that man is basically not good when left to himself, and thats why we need a Savior. / sermon
So whats up with all of you?
Good morning ! from Indiana.

I just stopped in here before bed J-I reported him, as my aussie friends say-No Worries.
Trolls, trolls-they just want to get a THRILL!!!!! (not helping things by posting this maybe, but trolls need a severe psychological (sp?-it's late) examination-if they put the effort into their model railroading like they did their trolling, they'd have the model rr of dreams. (My other half has been dealing with similar on some of her forums-the internet definitely makes the worms crawl out that have social & mental issues.)
BACK ON TOPIC-strongest coffee for me please-long day for me, getting a few things done around the new house, but didn't hit the "weathering" bench (BLAH!) I hope to make up for it tomorrow. Well, off to bed-I have a Shepherd/Elkhound mix laying on the floor behind me "woofing" as he dreams.
Tall cool glass of water, that's all.
***Jeffrey, EXCELLENT idea to add the screens.
Twas a long day. Going to try hitting the hay early tonight. Rob
I've made screens for the GP50's dynamic brake housing. At least now it doesn't have those holes you can see right through.
Garry: I know... But I'm cheating, squezing them onto 22"s.
I bet they'll work.
Good evening ....
Glad Sue liked the NP Alcos. No Johny Cash videos from me, but I enjoy Larry & Sue's video. Maybe I'll run my NP 4-8-4 sometime. As I've said, most of my lcomotives are Burlington, but it's fun to operate other roads, too. Burlington connected with so amny roads, I can justify almost any of them. No KCS stuff yet though, Jeff.
Mark ............sounds like good ideas. I often don't bother with interiors, but instead place black construction paper in passenger cars to block view. Remember long cars with body mounted couplers need wide radius curves. Stick on weights should be installed inside Rivarossi passenger cars to get car weight up to NMRA specs.
Nice work, Jeff on the GP 50.
Happy model railroading.
Evenin' all.
Had a fun day today, train bud came over and we ran trains. He showed off his new Roundhouse passenger car set, I think they're the 50' footers in the GN scheme. They look pretty good.
Sue: Tell Larry congrats on the video! It was great!
Garry: I think I'll bid on the custom painted ones, because they end tommorow. If I lose, I'll see if I can get the other ones. I was thinking maybe to upgrade, P2K metal wheels, and Kadee #148s or #58s in their boxes mounted on the bodies. I hope I get them, it'll be a great start to my train. I was thinking down the line, I could add interiors, and maybe a couple red LED's on the observation car.
Well, night all.
Mark
Flip, Sounds like we run similar lines. We do not have any S,P, & S yet, but plan to. We recently added GN, but we are predominantly NP.
Garry, Thanks for sharing your switchers. Larry's fav is a BLI EMD switcher. It is very similar to yours.
Paul, Larry says thanks. He is half way to LA by now. Our dog before Pearl was a Daisy, too. When you talk about your Daisy, it brings back fond memories. Your statement about pre-emergence pesticides has made me curious. In Washington, we have a private applicators license that after passing an exam, allows you to purchase the restricted chemicals. Is that similar in Texas?
Well, I got the RR ties painted, and muted the clothing on a few figures. I plan to get an early start on the layout in the morning.
How 'bout that, top of the page again. Seems like every time I mention Key Lime Pie I wind up buying. Good thing Fran cooked up a few extras.

Good Evening Coffee Clubbers,
Nice lazy start to the weekend down here in Paradise. Only went to the market this morning for some fresh fish and veggies to cook up. Speaking of cooking, some more Key Lime Pie suddenly showed up with this evening's coffee. Hmmm, purely coincidence that we went to the grove this week and brought home Key limes? I think not.
inch: Best get round ta chores, we've got a long day ahead, I've got a eye doc appointment this morning in Casey, I need to go to Marshall for the part on Mother's stove, a cookout this afternoon up by Rockville Ind, and a 40'th birthday party to go to this evening.
Fergie: Anyone here from Der John as of late?
Okay, off to the recliner to watch the Philllies/Rockies.
Hasta luego
Evening Gang: I actually got some 7.5 MRRing done today. I fired up the weed burner and did about 200 feet of right of way. The weather is really strange. It was not to hot but very humid. By the time I got over Scott's Bridge I was soaked and worn out. I headed for the re-cliner and some water and a book. John got the baler here today and will get the tractor tomorrow. Then if it dosen't rain we'll start cutting hay here. A couple of our pastures are full of grass burrs. I may cut them with the swather and rake the grass and burrs and haul them off. I got to do something and the government has banned all the good pre-emergence herbicides.
Sue add my kudos to Larry. I watched the video but my sound didn't work. I've got to check the connections. I think I may have pulled something out. Daisy the Dog was fooling around under there also she may have done it.
Well bed time.
Good Night All
Hello everybody......
While listening to some Johny Cash music and watching an NP 2-8-8-2 posted by Larry & Sue, it reminded me that Sue asked about NP on my layout. These Alco road switchers will have to suffice. No match for that neat steam loco video.
I'll be posting my caboose project on weekend photo fun if you are interested.
Good evening ya'll. FERGIE- John sent me some jokes yesterday. Has been busy but O.K. SUE- Enjoyed the heck out of watching the Mallett. I have 2 S.P.@ S cars and 6 N.P.s. Only time I run them is when I put my 44 G.N.s on the layout. Jeff- Wish I had your talent.
Prayers for all. Have a happy sunday.
