By the way Lynda as stated earlier I collect/ run O gauge mainly pre and post war lionel do have some of the newer stuff but when I get my railroad built it will be a fictitious one around VA., MD., TN., & N.C. and run N&W, Southern, Virginian & B&O. It will be between 8' X 13' down to 7' X13' depending on how much room I need for my desk/chest freezer to share the room lol.

But normally I've found out the one to watch is the one telling you to watch out for someone lol

Good Morning, TD'ers! I'll have what Jeff's having, Zoe, but hold the eggs. I eat those later in the day than breakfast. Thanks, Lee - good of you to buy for the morning crew. Wink [;)]

Lynda

Well, looks like Lynda will be able to hold her own with the unruly ones here. But RT is correct - I believe he and PC ... uh, haven't been caught pinching the help yet. And Flip could tell you more about that matter (that's all I'm gonna say about that now!).Oops [oops]

Walking in the Diner, I was trying to figure if Duke was sleeping (as usual) over there, or passed out. We'll see if he has a hangover when he wakes up. Evil [}:)]Wink [;)]Whistling [:-^]Whistling [:-^]Whistling [:-^]

Started a little more work this morning, on that Walthers modular office building I mentioned. Might have the basic structure finished today. But I'm going to paint the windows Antique White instead of the green that Walthers used on the plastic. (Guess they must've got a good price on green...) After I get most of that done, probably some more cleaning, vaccuuming and straightening (way past due around my place).

Well, I don't think those things are going to get themselves done, so I'll be heading out. See you all later.

Blessings,

HERE it is.  I must have written the new addy down incorrectly as I ended up here:

I thought it was odd when no one showed up!

So is the discussion as to what form of tractive power we are selecting for the TD?

And as for turbines, best invention ever made!  Possibly not best for locomotives but they work like a champ for pushing subs throught the water.  2 Turbines about the size of an f-250 each can deliver 30,000+ hp.  Hard to beat if ya ask me :)

Not sure if we need any locomotive power as I believe the dinner is going to stay put now but I thought when the girls got this place it was going to be 2 dining cars not one ?  Guess the second one is still comming from over in the unused cars (the ones for demo )

The building is Walther's State Line Farm Supply. I am going to change it to a more of hardware/general-ish store like the modern Tractor Supply Co. Put some interior walls in and do a bit of detailing and get a couple of pickup trucks.

I will have to try the white rain stuff.

But does it hold enough not to have to put dilueted white glue down too?

So, everyone ready to overdose on some football today?

Nope don't like football in the least.  I was glad when the Denver Broncos lost.  That's all they cover here is football, with a phrase or two about hockey or basketbll or so.

Did you hear that Broncos Cornerback Darrent Williams got shot and was killed last night last night?Sad [:(] I don't really follow the Broncos but I heard it on the radio.

Fraid I'm not much of a football fan either. About the only game I watch is the Super Bowl and that's to see the commercials (They dream up some good ones, don't they?).

Being it's lunchtime here in Louisiana, I'll have salmon sandwiches and a Coke.

Anyone up for Lynda's Jarhead Breakfast Special?

50/50 hamburger/sausage stirred into a thick, peppered cream sauce, served over Southern-style hashed browns, and topped with eggs any style.

For desert, there's Lynda's croissant pudding.

Day-old croissants soaked and baked in a vanilla custard.

Good afternoon everyone, I see Fergie and Duke over at the end booth asleep, GOOD, because now I can have some of Lynda's vanilla custard before they awake and eat it all, yahooooo!!!!!!

We had freezing rain early this morning, all the evergreen trees had limbs bent low, but now it is 41F and all the snow and ice is gone. December went down in the records books here as the warmest December on record!! And, the long range outlook for January has the temps abouve normal for at least the 1st half the month!! The oil tank is still 3/4 full. I love it.

I second FERGIE's suggestion to call this new Diner, Elliot's Trackside Diner, in honor of the fine gentleman who started the original coffee shop.

Well, the decorations are off the tree, now I can sit and read the TRAINS and MRR Feb edition that arrived in the mail on Saturday.

I would like to take this time to wish each of you and your loved ones, a very HAPPY, HEALTHY, and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.....I have truly enjoyed your online company ( Duke and his lovely wife in  person when they visited us ), you are REAL people. My prayers to all those who still have sick family members, or recovering from illnesses..........

Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Learn from the mistakes of others, trust me........you can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself, I tried !! MAN!

I step out for a few minutes and the next thing you know, I'm being railroaded! (pun intended)

Lynda, RT and I are the least of your problems around here!  The one's you need to watch are Jeff and PA!  They're trouble with a capitol T!

BTW, that lunch sounds good!  Count me in!

Well the old coffee shop is now completely shut down MR. David Voss came and took the key so the crew can start tearing it down in the future to put that siding in . This new place is a lot nicer thanks to his offering we now have a new place.

Sign - Off Topic!! [#offtopic]Well I don't know about the retirement now. I got an E-mail from our HR director that in order to collect the bonice that we were promissed I'll have to stay untill they are issued in March sometime. So they have beat me out of 4 weeks vacation and now want to beat me out of my bonice.Banged Head [banghead] O boy do I ever loath this place. To top it off I found out that our president of the company was out here at Christmas with his family. He took his familly and went up the exits to get on the rides ahead of the guests. How can anyone have pride in there company when the leadership is like that?Grumpy [|(]

Thanks guys I had to get that off my chest. Mary Ann says to do what ever I want. The money dosen't matter. She's a good one for sure.

I'll see you all later.
