We would definately will not claim Seattle as our home, and the safety play looked like a Volleyball game. I was yelling block so loud that I barely saw the failed field goal attempt. That was a once in a million play. Dallas did out play them. It was just luck. They are not the team that went to the Superbowl last year.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Hi Gang: Mary Ann and I did some shopping today after taking in breakfast at the little donut shop in town. After that we headed to Ft. Worth and looked at cook stoves. She needs a new one bad and we found one that is just right. I figured that she'd jump at it but she said we'll wait untill next month. They may have it on sale and she can get a washer and dryer also.
John and I went out to his place later to put some new locks on his shop and check things out. He's had a trespass problem and we have to check the place often. The hunters cought two guys last month on the place and read them the riot act befor sending them on there way.The county DA is preparing charges against them. They rent a house next to his place. We also made plans for the 7.5 inch gauge railroad that he's starting.
Well tomorrow I'll start nocking off another week. It won't be long. Not that I'm watching the calender or anything.
Well I think that I'll head for bed. I'll see you all tomorrow.
Good Night All

My boss would need and extra 2149 marbles so far. lol he'll be 96 the 29th of this month

RT: Ya but the Big Tuna pulled a big bone head play right at the start of the game when Dallas was on the 10 YL and he elected to go for it on 4th down instead of a Field Goal. That FG would have given them the 3 points that would have won the game as it later turned out.

I hope I can do as well at the BIG E the end of this month.
Big E?
PC: Sorry Phil, the "BIG E" is so well known in the northeast and even into central and mid Atlantic states, I falsely assumed that you knew.
The "BIG E" stands for Big Exposition Center in West Springfield, Massachusetts. They have the biggest model RR show in the Northeast every year, the last weekend of January. It is sponsored by the Amhearst MRR Club.
JEFF: I think you hit the nail on the head re Romo.....now Texans are calling for the Big Tuna's head too!!!!
Howdy all,
Hope no one wanted that old Santa Fe hearld from the old shop. I liberated it as the wrecking ball was pulling up to do its FOUL deed! I hope someone remembered to snag that pic of the PRR duplex!
Don't ya love it when the good guys "clean up" at a show like that.
Now that things are settling down I can take my chances @ paying for all the bottomless pits who stop in for a "glass of water"!
Found out over christmas that a short line ended in my in-laws town. It was only about 40 miles. The town was clearing some wooded land and found the old roadbed. When my dad-in-law gets me some pics of the rr I'll post them. He said that since the Doc lived in the town of Conroe if anyoe got sick in Coldspring he would hop the train and they would run him up the line. Next time I'm up there I'm gonna hit the antique shop for some remains if they got any.
Best wishes for all and prayers for theose under the weather.

FERGIE: At least this weather has given you a great break to get that addition done. Had this been a normal Winter, no telling where the addition would be.
Yes it's January and the weather is definately on the warm side and a good thing too as with the rain today if it had been snow... I it would have been a good 2' deep!
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

I don't know about knocking them dead with my looks. I think maybe it was more like I was Johnny on the spot!
Here's some pics of the haul today. My camera was dying so the pics are kind of rushed, so I appologize.
Here's some heavy duty motive power. Two 2-8-0's and two 4-8-4's: http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j319/pcarrell/N%20Scale%20Trains/WGH%20Show%202007/Picture019_edited.jpg

Thats about it!
Can't wait till next year!
Hi Gang: I'm all better now and feel normal. I spent the afternoon cleaning out the east side of the corrals. Anyone need some fertilizer? I found the last missing part to the feeder that the cows tore up last month. Now all I have to do is weld it back together. The weather is fairly good. Temp in the low 50s light wind. The wind feels cold on the face and neck but it feels warm when the sun comes out from behind the clouds. Yes the weather is unusual for this time of year. I've been thinking about getting the lawn mower out and doing the back yard. I didn't get to it earlier.
PC: That was a super haul. I'm not going to mention that there is a show in Ft. Worth. You'd probably come down and get all the good stuff.
Good to hear from you Chuck and Kathy.
OZ: The Great Lakes are down also. The lake boats are having to load less then full loads because of the low water. 1 inch of water equals 250 tons of cargo in a 1000 foot boat. That must have been some storm. Any info on damage or injuries?
Well I'm going to hit the sack. Good Night All
This morning on the way to the club meeting to start working on the corner section of our exhibit's layout, I dropped by Brosnan Yard to see what was happening. Oh, wait, the weather:
It was a horrible day. We worked on the corner and then went to eat lunch. We went back down to the yard and look at this!
But it couldn't last:
Tomorrow it is going to get bad again, and the clouds were already rolling in.
But a good day at the yard.
Today we not only broke many records in New England for temperature, we down-right smashed them. I went to church at 4 today in a short sleeve shirt...never did that before in January. It is still 60F here at 7pm...that's right 60F. Global warming is only a myth, don't believe it guys............Ya RIGHT!!
