Jeff -
I'm trying to glue pieces of a plaster culvert together. Will that mixture work for that type of application?

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Awesome! Thanks Jeff. Have the gals put your drinks on my tab for the night!
Ok guys (and gals!) off to do some more modeling with the module.
jeffrey-wimberly wrote:I talked to my mother a little while ago on the phone. She's not doing very well and the docs don't know what all is wrong with her other than she has some intestinal problems and has a very bad case of asthma. They got her blood sugar problem under control for now but she has some other blood problems. That's all I know right now.
I'm back on my knees!
Evening Gang:
Jeff: Hang in there friend. We're all pulling for your mother. You need to take care of yourself.
Bob K: That deal with the magazine sounds interesting. Could the final article be passed on to us?
Ed: Another trip? Boy you and Fran are really globe trotters. I can't get Mary Ann to take a trip. She always worries about the cattle. Our problem is finding someone to look after things. John hasn't been much help since he has his own things to take care of. I haven't done much on the HO. I've been busy with the 7.5" gauge and taking care of the ranch. We're so busy we haven't even been able to take siestas.
Fergie: My friend Ron said the same about the Erie shovel. I have one to build but am putting it off.
Garry: I'm working in 7 ½ inch gauge 1 5/8 inch scale for standard gauge. For 2 foot narrow gauge I use 4 inch scale. I have a gas railcar I scratch built. It has a 4hp gas engine. Unfortunately it hasn't run in a long time and needs to be completely rebuilt. I also have a SW 1200 in standard gauge. I got it from Morris locomotives. It has a 5hp Honda engine. It's in overhaul now. In 4inch scale I have a live steam locomotive. It's a 0-4-0 tank base on a Kerr/Stuart Wren class. It burns coal and weighs about 600 lbs in working order.
I guess I'll head for bed. I have to get the gondolas finished tomorrow. I'll see you all later.
Good Night All

Quick run-through today. Need to see about contacting the lawyer today and see what options I have/can afford. Also seeing outpatient clients at work today, so will need to clear my mind before that.
See you all later, probably this evening.

If you've been following our weather around here, you know the forecast for today!
TODAY: Not much to say here...dry, warm weather continues highs today will hit the mid to upper 80's.
THURSDAY: Hey! Maybe a spotty thunderstorm??? An upper-level low-pressure system that is stuck in the mid-Atlantic states will nudge back to the west. There may be enough instability to trigger a spotty thunderstorm. Not everybody will get rain, and it will by no means signal an end to the our dry pattern.
EXTENDED OUTLOOK: Since the pattern is stagnant, let's skip right to the extended outlook. Not good news for farmers or for the water companies here. Here is the upper level map by Friday morning.A ridge of high pressure will surround the state, and help keep the dry weather locked in. We should officially get below normal in the rainfall for the year by Thursday or Friday. If you have been following this chart this week, you may notice that the ridge may show some signs of weakening in the northern fringe in Canada, but a re-enforcing ridge may develop in the southern Plains.
DROUGHT WATCH, ANY RELIEF IN SIGHT???: Rain has been an endangered species since the month of May. Usually drought refers to a period longer than a month, but May was so much below normal, that it does classify as a short-term drought on the Palmer Index. Here is the latest Drought Assessment. Look at the progression of the drought from the southeast U.S. to here in Indiana!
When could we see relief??? Well, the latest projections point to the early or middle of next week. Here is the GFS Model map by Tuesday night. (It's large, so here's a link)http://www.nco.ncep.noaa.gov/pmb/nwprod/analysis/namer/gfs/00/images/gfs_slp_174m.gif

David Parks I am the terror that flaps in the night!
Hello.........
DavidP thanks for the update on Jeff & his "Mom". We're worried. Jeff....... still praying for you and "Mom".
Paul... thanks for the interesting overview of your railroad doings. I'm interested in that stuff because my dad was very active in live steam and built some live steam locos. I stuck with the small stuff due partly to my moving so many time. (moved 18 times and resided in 8 states). Also, I recall the amount of time spent building and mantaining was much, much more than operating time. Must have been a ratio of 500 to 1 if it were ever calculated. However, I do admire the large scale very much for sure. I know there are many groups of live steamers in different parts of the world.
Bye for now.

Afternoon Gang: I'm in early. I was over at the track painting on one of the gondolas and it just got too hot. The shade had shifted so the car was in the sun and it was cooking me. I'll go back and finish later when it cools off a bit.
Garry: I forgot to add our groups web site yesterday. If you will go to www.avwrr.org you can see my locomotive as well as many more.
Jeff: Give your mom my best also. Are you doing better today?
Well I'm going to lay down for a bit. See you all later.
Good Afternoon Coffee Clubbers,
It was a real scorcher here today. So what else is new? We picked the wrong day to spend virtually all day working out at the orange grove. The things we do to keep The Coffee Shop supplied. Trying to get some stuff straightened out before we take off on our trip starting next week.
J.P. - since you asked about charges for a tank car load of virtual O.J., let me assure you that the price is "virtually nothing".
Paul W. Beverung wrote: Ed: Another trip? Boy you and Fran are really globe trotters. I can't get Mary Ann to take a trip. She always worries about the cattle. Our problem is finding someone to look after things.
Yeah, I am lucky, Fran is always up for a road trip. We're also lucky in that we have a full time employee to watch and work on the orange grove. No way could we do it all ourselves.
We're so busy we haven't even been able to take siestas.
Seems like you're a typical retarded person. Have you figured out how you got things done when you still had a daytime job?
No time for siestas!!! That's almost heresy. Keep that under your hat, if that gets out it could get you expelled from the AARP.
I'll be back later. Power was off all day (fortunately we were gone) and the a-c is struggling to get things cooled down. I'm off to take a cold shower.
Hasta luego,
Ed
