Hey, LilRob - I was thinking it might be you (but have you changed your username since last time in the Diner, or did I just dream that one up?). Hope you've been at least doing some MRR'ing reading - you can find MR mags at a lot of libraries, I've found.

A few more weeks and I hope to have that package off to you that we'd discussed. That can give you a little more to keep your spare time occupied. Wink [;)]

Everybody in your family doing okay since last time you were in? Seems like some of us in here have either had some health problems or have had family members with them. So take care of yourself.

Blessings,

Garry, Yes, I did see it, and was going to give you the Thumbs Up [tup], but I didn't get back to the page.  Thanks for reminding me.  Were  you able to get those Pig Palace's with different numbers?  Nice job on the weathering.

Dick, The book is still not in.

Duke,  Nice photos.  Thanks.

No layout time tonight.

Evening Gang: Well 4 more rifles cleaned and the pump house is looking good. The boys are doing a bang up job. The real expence is feeding them.

Garry the UP really isn't a problem. I've been getting along with them for close to 38 years.

Not much going on with the MRR. I've been watching the iron mining dvds anf gathreing ideas.

For not really w--king that hard today I'm tired. I didn't sleep well last night. I got up twice and sat watching TV untill I got sleepy again. I hope tonight isn't a repeat.

Good evening, Diners - I'm taking a break from trying to figure out a GC Laser truck stake bed kit. The pieces aren't fitting quite right. I'll get back to it later in the week and see what I'm missing at the moment. As for now, just a cup of mocha, please. Thanks, Chloe.

Somewhat busy day today at the W-place. But then again, I wasn't brush-hogging or going through the garden, or doing other more strenuous things like Paul or Dick or others.Wink [;)]

Speaking of gardening, Dick, sounds like your garden is paying for itself big-time! Bow [bow] Now, if I had a green thumb and more space on my deck... (but I don't, alas. Dead [xx(] )

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] Jeff, about taking care of yourself and having some way to signal others if your blood sugar gets way out of kilter. We don't want anything happening to you, guy!

Chloe, a refill on my mocha, please. I'll be at the corner booth watching the early evening run - it should be by here soon.

Blessings and a good evening (or morning for OzJim),

Good evening to all, just got in from long day outside. The veggie garden is going crazy, we are having a hard time keeping up with it. The blueberries are really heavy this year, we are now up to 4 gallons a day, and red raspberries are in full stage for picking. Man, I'll have start getting outside at 6am for the next several weeks.

Do I have time for MRR'g? Well, I sit and read the mags at night while I enjoy fresh blueberry pie, or raspberry cream pie. And tomorrow we head off early to Tuckers, my LHS in Warren, Ma, he has a book I have been trying to get, and of course I am sure there will be other things there for me, and plenty of great conversation with Bob regarding train history. Then it will be near lunchtime, so we will head for the Palmer RR station, now the Steaming Tender restaurant, and hopefully some mainline action on the olde B&A line.

JEFF: Good Lord Jeff, what ELSE do you need to hear?? Please keep some com gear at hand so that you can get help fast if need be. If you pass out from Low Gl, how long could it be before someone goes looking for you? Diverticulitis is serious problem as you said, nothing to take lightly. I sure hope they can take care of easily for you.

RYAN: Your eyes must be really tired at night from all that reading.

DUKE: Got to love those Berks. You sure are lucky to be near enough to one still operating. I sure wish they would bring one East for a railfan weekend.

GARRY: So DUKE is NOT watching is not keeping his eye on FERGIE? AND, he may indeed be an accomplice? Is there no one that we can trust around food in the Diner anymore?

Later,

Dick If you do what you always did, you'll get what you always got!! Learn from the mistakes of others, trust me........you can't live long enough to make all the mistakes yourself, I tried !! I was nearly in very serious trouble! My vision was starting to dim and I was feeling dizzy. A quick check showed that my blood sugar level was 51. It was time to get something to eat, fast.

Afternoon all

The 1225 Berkshire ran this last Sat and Sun in conjunction with the NMRA convention with Sat being a fan run and Sun was for those attending the convention. Ray,his wife,Ruth (Louie's wife, the friend that passed away, she still rides with us) and I went and did some chasing on Sun and here is the start of what I got. I will only do about 4 a day because of those with dial-up so I hope you like them. I should let you know that it was running in reverse from Owosso to Alma and when they got to Alma they ran it around the train for the return trip.

Howdy everyone.

So far, I'm watching by diet.  But later I'll have one of Detroit's famous Saunders Hot Fudge Cream Puffs.

Been in Detroit area since Sunday night. As I said before, trip timing was planned for NMRA convention, but I'm spending most of the time with relatives. I decided NMRA is too grandious with its convention prices.  I think, they could do better promoting the hobby keeping the hobby affordable. In my case, I did have enough money set aside, but finally decided I could not justify spending it on the convention.  The train show here is to be an exception. Now, if Shelley will keep shopping at the malls under control, there will be room in the vehicle.

DUKE ...  I'm still planning to attend train show Saturday morning and save time for lunch. I'll touch base with dealer, Classic Trains and Ferraris from Paducah, KY. If you go to that dealer ask for Bill. I'll hopefully check back to forum again before Saturday.

Jeff......GP38 is great looking. Take care of yourself. Sorry about the health issues.

Sue .. enjoyed the youtube of the 2-8-8-2. Did you see my NP equipment posted several days ago in the diner?

Bobk ...  I'm sure your experiences did take a big toll. Same with your kids. Perhaps it would be good to take a break and get away with the kids. Maybe you could take a trip around to see some diners.  Feel free to head for KY's Land Between the Lakes area if you like.

RT .....  best wishes in your new home and with employment. You'll be in a beautiful area.

Der ..... You should have seen me here swatting the bug that was in the computer screen. Annoying, pesky little critter!

Dick ... saving any blueberries for the diner?  Hey, I've had some really good Michigan Cherries here.  Duke's been holding out!!!!

Ryan .... I thought you cook just out of the goodness of your heart.

Fergie .... If the train show here has any 2-10-2's, you'll miss out.  Glad your Dad is home from hospital ..... and your stitches are out...

Rob....well, that's a creative paint scheme.  Jeff can explain how to paint.

Jim cape G....  Sounds like the club is moving right along.

Philip.... good layout progess there and glad your son is interested.

Oz Jim ...... take care of those hurts.

Paul....  keep the UP under control there at your property!

Everyone......speaking of going off diet.  Detroit has Tim Hortons donut shops! I'm in trouble.

I have returned from my visit at the doctors office. It turns out that I have gall stones and diverticulitis. The gall stones aren't causing me any problem, so naturally they aren't going to do anything about that at this time. The diverticulitis on the other hand is a more serious matter. He put me on antibiotics for it. We'll see if that works. If not, more drastic steps may be needed.

Good morning to all, just a bowl of Cheerios and plenty of blueberries for me, skim milk.......HEY, how do you guys think I stay at 180# and no Diabetes yet after every generation on the male side of the family has had it since the 1800's??? Watch what you eat !!!! Just look at these meals in the Diner......

What's on tap for everyone today? I see that PAUL may be cleaning out the creek again, JEFF is sweating bullets in the Bayou, PHIL ( FEC PHIL ) is out hunting the Anacondas that are causing all the trouble in Florida. PC is directing traffic on the interstate to make room for aircraft landing on the highways, SUE is down at the library trying to see if she is now 52nd on the list to read White Cascade.........lets see now, ohh yes, there is DUKE on his bike on the way to w**k, DER JOHN is taking pictures of the old tank for FERGIE, and speaking of FERGIE, who was that who just ran out the Diner back door with a gallon of ice cream and a whole pie? GARRY is yelling at the weatherman to stop the rain, and MIKE is out in his garden picking weeds, RYAN ......he is at his desk looking at some IT manuals, COLBY.......looks like he is still in bed, late night I guess.

Morning All!  How goes it?

It's another beautiful day in Indiana!

Hey don't forget to thank God today for all the little things He provides for you!  We tend to thank Him for the big stuff, but when was the last time you thanked Him for air, or sunlight, or gravity?  Think where you'd be without them!  Thanks for all of those things, and so many others God!

Hey Jeff, that breakfast looks pretty good!  Any left?

JR, We are fans of Peco's too. Thumbs Up [tup] If they had #8's when we were laying track, we would have all Pecos.  They did come out with #8's by the time we got to our yard.

Jim,  Look what we started.  I knew that we would get lots of help.

Philip,  You like the Mallet, but just think in N scale you can get the Athearn Clinchfield Challenger.  Drool.  We all want something that is beyond our reach.

Ryan,  Thanks, glad you liked it.

Crandell,  You have a way of explaining things that is easy for me to visualize.  After reading your post, I looked up the history sheet that came with the loco, and found that it was easier to read.  I appreciate your time and help.  Oh, have I seen you in the diner before.  You are always welcome here.

Thanks, Sue

Thumbs Up [tup] Tell us a little about your layout and MRR'ing (modeling a particular RR, period, and what scale?). We're nosy curious here, but friendly. Smile [:)]

Has anyone heard from RT on how the move's coming along? We were cutting our club's layouts into sections tonight, so that got me thinking about RT's move (which hopefully involves less fuss than ours has been.

Speaking of missing Diners, where's Inch been? Jerry, did you reach him by land line?

As I mentioned, tonight we got a lot of the cutting the club layout done, and almost all of the loose stuff boxed up. We still have to get the cabinets down from the walls (and the floor cabinets unfastened, too). So another meeting or two to go before we can get serious about moving a lot of stuff to the new location.

Well, I have a hot fudge sundae to finish, so I'll be getting back to that now. (Yum!)

Blessings and a good evening to all,

Good Evening All

Well here's the latest...

Yes I may have gone for the last piece of pie but I wasn't the one who "took the cake". Ya don't pick on a youngster on an open forum with sarcasm. Unless he's being saucy.

Anyway Dad is out of the hospital (YeaBig Smile [:D]) and is recovering very well (Touch Wood Banged Head [banghead]) Thanks for the Prayers guys.

And the latest garden demolition/improvement is almost completed. Well phase 1 anyway.

One of the things I did for Dad when he was in was to take in a few photos of the garden and hung them up. Well one thing led to another and before you know it I get a visit from a women asking if I would like to display my garden during next years Glorious Gardens Tour. It's a fund raiser for Colitis and Iliatus research. So if I'm around I'm a go!

Was suppose to go to the Doctor today to have the stitches hauled out of my arm but I was too busy and Dad has an appointment later this week so I... Took the stitches out my self Whistling [:-^]

Der: John can you do a small favour if possible... The bar and grillin Sheet Harbour  that was made from an Oil Tank, any chance of getting a photo or two of it? I got the Oil Tank I just have to cut out the holes for the door and windows. If it's a problem don't worry about it I'm sure I can figure something out.
