"The Final Cut" is a must for a "Wall" fans and of course with out question "Wish You Were Here" and lastly "Momentary Laspe of Reason" are all albums that are a must if you are a Pink Floyd fan. But then again, that's just my opinion. I'll have another Scotch plaese. GUB

Mike;
When I cook a Pot Roast I like to do it in a cast iron pot on the BBQ and turn one burner off while the other is on med to low and let it go all afternoon.

But, I do have to agree with The Final Cut, Wish You Were Here, and Animals as some of my favorites. For a taste in the bizarre, add Ummagumma (I think I spelled that right).Chris

Mike,
I'm gonna go out on a limb here. But I sense you might also be a Monty Python fan. Am I correct? Have you seen Spamolot?
I guess if I had to make a single choice for favorite all-time musical act, I'd have to say Eric Clapton. I'll certainly listen to Floyd or ELP if they pop up on the radio. Lately, though, the oldies stations have been migrating to the 70's, which to me is leaving the realm of Oldies and entering the decades of "Crummies." I will say, though, that the stuff coming out now is better than most of what I've heard since the Summer of Love. I even enjoyed the Green Day concert last year, in the company of 3 teenage girls. Would have liked it even more if I'd been a teenage boy. Gee, the stuff girls wear to concerts now used to be referred to as "intimate apparel."
Just one quick Bud tonight, please. It's too late for the good stuff. My daughter had a field hockey game after I had work, then a quick dinner and off to Parent-Teacher night. I'm really happy with her teachers this year at Bedford High, and they seem happy with her, too. She may not be interested in trains, but if she can get A's then I'm not gonna complain.
I've been putting in some hours this week painting Baldy's Barbershop and assembling the Walters fire escapes for it, so I don't think I've even powered up the layout since Sunday. It's got a billion and a half little plastic windows to glue together, but I hope to get it assembled this weekend. I'd better do it before I pop the first cold one, though. All downhill from there.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Mike, you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you my cholesterol level is 88.
Looks like I'm buying this time around.
Good Evening All;
I'll have a Scotch - Neat with a glass of water. Thought I had a bit more time, but the wife is pointing at here watch. Gotta go. After all it is Church Night! Wonder what kind of wine is being served. Got the Panchetta Melts and off we go.
See You Guys Later.
It's Friday, and beer thirty.
MGD today just for something different, I think the first one had a hole in it,
or maybe was defective. Only took a few drinks and its empty already.
Was working on putting up the light valance but lost interest.
I have 28" of separation between the top of the benchwork and the bottom
of the valance. I know some people prefer the shadowbox look, but
that looks kinda small to me. I was thinking raise it up 6"
So what do you guys use? and how do you like it?
I also heard that if you find a mouse in your beer, that you can get
free beer. hose off aye.

Not really. It's been a long week. After dinner, couple Scotch's and half a bottle of Bordeaux I think it is time to call it a night and get a good night's sleep. It's going to be a long weekend. Cook all day tomorrow just to get ready for Thanksgiving (Canadian). Final count? Looks like it is 35 for Sunday. Better get to the beer store and LCBO tomorrow.
Good Night to All
Mornin all, an irish coffee sounds good for start on a cool morning.
Been a working outside while the weather good, getting ready for winter and finishing the gardening. Almost ready for some cold, and nasty, so I can spend more time in the train room.
On music, ya'll can have this new stuff. As far as I conerned, music both rock n roll and country, died in the early 70's. Disco was just the last nail in the coffin
JB,,,, Liked the layout photos, nice weathering job on the box car
Mike,, I'm fixing ham n beans outside for supper today, most likely be plenty, if'en ya want ta come on over.

Sounds bout a Sunday dinner here. If all the kids and grandkids show up
Mr. B,,, sounds like a chore there with the windows, hope ya get alone with it ok.
Be back to outside chores today, till the grandkids start showing up, some of thems spending the night, Or so I was told by Granny. She doesn't get the time with them during the week like I do, so the kids ask her, if we can baby sit, and not me. Cause they know she'll say yes.. Best get on to chores, catch ya'll laters
inch
Amen to that!
Good morning and top 'o' the day to all of ye. This morning I'll have a screwdriver, heavy on the vodka.
Hey Mike, you up for breakfast? How about a traditional english breakfast.
Morning;
Just a coffee and a couple slices of rye toast, lightly buttered please and thankyou. Need to get going and help with the pre-activities - procure the libation, get the brewskies on ice etc., etc. etc. The only down side to Thanksgiving is, if you can call it that is that you do all this work (okay so the wife does most of it) and most guests are here for less than 8 hours. This year we'll have one family from Germany on the WEB CAM participating in the Trivia Contest. Something about defending her title of champion from last year ...
Well gotta go. Will check in later as time permits throughout the day. Everyone have a great day.
On a another note I am trying to come up with a signature. How'd you guys decide on yours?
Gotta Go, See Ya!
Morning all,
Been a little while since my last post. work, night school,honey do list, even a little work on the model railroad has kept me away.
I did find time to sit out on the deck last night with the wife and kid light a nice blazing fire (cold up here in Maine) and drink some Gritty's black fly stout.
also started super detailing a small corner forest area of the layout with polyfibre and clump foliage, I've got to get a digital camera and post some pics, maybe for x-mas.
well its back to the Hdo list from the wife.
