On the bottles I'll take 10 cars a week.  I'll tack on 7 cars of copper ore for Wednesday's unit train, and 8 on Saturday, for 15 cars a week.

We can ship 3-4 cars a day of glass(50 foot, cushion cars,of course). As far as the copper goes, we want the raw ore.

Thx for the coal, TWC. No on the gold, but we can transload the copper for transport to Europe (thats where most of our transloads go). We could handle about 10-15 cars a week.

Were shipping out animal feed, roofing material, aluminum rolls and slabs, and glass bottles. Let me know if you need anyof theses things.

We can handle about 30 cars at a shot, our ancient bridge and locos have their limits.  However, our interchange holds 100+ cars, so we'll run 30 or so daily, and ship 2 unit trains weekly.

Any chance you got a customer for gold or copper?

Interchanged:  90 cars Wednesday, 90 more on Saturday.

Hey, TWC.  We can handle up to 30  cars  a day at the transloader, thats 180 a week. Whatever you can send up to that point. Also you can send it daily or one or two big trains a week. we are flexible.

Hoople

Same traffic as last week, 3 lumber, 2 cloth, and 7 coal.

12 cars interchanged.

PA Belt

Same as last week, 4 beer and 3 antique autos

7 cars interchanged.

snagletooth

We can fill your coal needs, how many per week do you need?

All:

We are shipping out Copper and Gold Ores, the Copper will need to be smelted and refined (we have a contract available for that, to ship to you finished copper), and the Gold is available refined either as nuggets, or bars, or ingots.  Gold ships escorted by armored Pullman or caboose, with armed guards up to interchange.  Security services are available, or you may provide your own.  We also now receive finished wire, for those of you who may have a wire finishing plant on line needing a buyer.

Great Hoople. Send 2-3 loads a day, more when summer comes. as far as interchange, We prefer N&W to BN, so whichever works best for you. Its for inhouse use so customers wont be complaining.

I can ship you animal feed, roofing material, glass, or finished aluminum rolls or slabs!

thx

We have all kinds of gravel here.
I can send you as much as you need daily.(As long as it's not over 10 cars...)
Do you want me to leave it at the stormont interchange or the Jasonville interchange?
Either is fine by me.
TW: Just got the 2-8-2. Runs like a charm.
(It has some fun on my 6% grade tho!)

This is all Fantasy Snaggle.

I think this thread helps some understand operations or perhaps improve thier view of industries on thier own railroads.

I think there is some actual swapping of cars going on but think that is restricted to round robin groups or perhaps visiting a friend's railroad and "Loaning" a few temporarily.

I recall some time ago interchanging with twcenterprises some really "Big" traffic and it turned me into a clerk one day a week trying to keep up with all the in's and outs of the interchanges on paper.

Hoople

OK, the Mike is on the way, along with the 3 lumber and 2 cloth.  I have also sent along 7 cars of coal for this week, with that assumed to be an ongoing contract.

Total interchanged to Hoople: 12 cars per week.

P A Belt

Engines received in good order.  I can fill your beer and antique auto contracts, how many of each per week?

Snagletooth

It's all fantasy on the board, if you want to do some trading, send off-list emails, or check out my group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/trainexchange/ and post there.  The actual swapping of cars was tried once, I don't remember if it was here or on my Yahoo group, there was a little interest.

A quick question before I get to deep into this. I know the carloading are "fantasy" interchange, but when you guys post cars and loco are you guys really swapping or is that fantasy, too. I do have a couple of items that I realize I'm not going to be needing after all. If its all fantasy, thats fine, too. I gotta start really planning this layout. I'm hoping to start building real soon. thats what i'm checking this out for.

Enough Bumping.

The participating Members of this forum interested in this thread will update the information "Eventually"

Kinda like real life cargo, you set out a car of widgets on the Interchange and it goes bye bye for 4 weeks.

Bergie and Company takes exception to bumping. Post your information and let it "Soak" for a while, dont be so impatient to get returns from others in this thread. I am going to be tendering a traffic matrix soon for the Falls Valley Railroad once I iron out what industry needs what.
