Hey dingoix,

I too like BNSF, but I also like NS & UP.

Ease up on the UP bashing, their not that bad?!

Got three Athearn BNSF SD70's I like to run together all three in different schemes, the old Red & Silver BNSF not long after they took over SF, Green & Cream (Corporate?) and a Hertiage. They look great coming up the hill under stress.

They have to be all powered to make it up the grades, seems 35 feet of HO freight train is a bit heavy. Don't know why?[:D]

you stumped me on that one[:D] i don't exactly hate the U.P. it's just my least favorite Class1 RR-- i do like NS a lot-- CSX is okay in my book too-- you have to admit BNSF is the most colorful railroad- there are Cascade green BN units- Blue/ Yellow Santa Fe warbonnets-- red/ silver Santa Fe &BNSF warbonnets- Green/orange BNSF heritage 1-- Green/orange BNSF H2-- Black/Orange BNSF H3-- yellow/ red/ black Kodachromes (but there may only be 1 left) --the green & cream "corporate" paint (actually i think it called executive)

I model the Burlington Northern, right now it's the only raod I have. Almost everything they had. It's funny how NO manufacture ever produced a F3 in HO SCALE in Green & Black. Only in N scale by Kato. (oh my mistake, Cox did it but it was hard on my eyes) I got myself some Proto F3 A&B and repainted them. Also, I was tired of looking at the poor paint job that Athearns put on thier F7'S. The one's with the hockey stick emblem. BN F7'S really didn't have thoes emblems on them, so why did they put them. The new
Athearns "Ready to Roll" was done correctly, but I can't get pass the weak side glazing they have. So, I bought some Stewart F7 undecorated and repainted thoes as well. I have 1 fantasy BN AC4400 that I painted my self too. Here's my list.

F45
F40 PH (somewhat a fantasy)
FP7 A/B (B was kitbashed)
GP35
GP38
GP40
SD9
F9 A/B (EXECUTIVES BN-1 & BN - 2)
F7 A/B
F3 A/B
FA1 A/B
E7 (classic silver side pannel with green nose)
E9 ( with no port holes, just like the prototype)
Alco C636
Alco C424
U33C
SD60
SD60M
SDP40
SD90 MACK
AC4400 (FANTASY)

I'm looking to start my lash up of locos from other railroads that fell under BN
like
SP&S
FRISCO
CB&Q
NP
GN
and of course BNSF

looks like quite a roster- you must be modeling before the BN and Santa Fe merge of 1994

I think you're correct on both counts certainly the most colourful and I am pretty sure the green & cream was called executive (I couldn't remember and had a wild guess). They have a great variety of locomotives too!

Generally there have been some pretty awesome looking locos coming out recently, except for that new SD70, SD70ace is it? That thing fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. I don't mean to offend anyone, it really does nothing for me![xx(]

Allan, quite the engine roster. I see you have more than one of each. I'd like to get another H3 AC4400 (different # of course) and maybe a few DASH9-44CW's (Athearn)
