I have some BNSF locos, but I don't model that particular railroad. My model railroads is supposed to connect with them, though.

I get to play with BNSF motors and cars so I love them too ( thay actually pay me to do this?!?!) We also hate the UP ( I said leave 6 track open you , insert best old head railroad language here, dont you listen???!!!) I really wi***hey hadnt bought the Santa Fe. But they werent making it on intermodal alone so someone had to bail them out! I think SF SP or whatever combo they had would have been an awsome railroad today. Think about Rob Krebs owning the entire West Coast !! UP wouldnt have stood a chance!
C&NW should have been liqudated int he late 60's like the government tried to do.But hey I cant lie thm as I am a Rock Island guy through and through. I may work with GN colored motors but I bleed a mix of blue white red yellow black red maroon ( did I miss a color?) !!

Yes we are on time but this is yesterdays train

in early May 2006 Athearn will release a RTR SD40-2 with the BNSF powerbar (it will be worth the wait) M.S.R.P. is $79.99 but i suspect it'll sell for $55-60
as i've said a few times i'd be the happiest person alive if Athearn would release a RTR GP38-2 with the powerbar.

I almost picked up one of the new "Swoosh" logoed engines as I call them at the last show I was at. I wish either Atlas or P2K would produce one of the engines. I'm not a big fan of Athearn engines really. I really don't like the noise.

One guy had the engine for $62 and another for $65. I ended up finding a guy who did phenominal weathering and detailing on rolling stock so I picked up 3 gondola's from him. I got a lot of ideas from him to which was awesome.

BNSF is my favorite railroad. I love the drive back home along the Mississippi and BNSF double main. It's nice stopping in certain spots and getting some pictures of some great action. Just I didn't have to drive so far from home to see the BNSF. From my house it's a good hour or so drive to get to a place where I can see the BNSF. I'm stuck with UP back home and even that is a rare occurence.

I never reeally planned but Ihave a BNSF themed layout. Got 6 engines all under the BNSF or BN flag. Eventually, I will have my freelanced railroad, the JBX which will hook up with the BNSF.

I hope that Athearn will come out with their own Prototype of the BNSF (GEVO).
I would love to see a BNSF ES44AC and an ES44DC in Athearn.
At least a little cheaper than Tower55's. Allan.

i prefer santa fe im in the process of planning a layout for the sant fe from amarillo, texas to arizona along with my own private road that does switching and interchange with sf as well as trackage rights on the santa fe main. the 1st locs for my private road are ex conrail units as i like the scheme, but nothing beats a red/silver warbonnet. later power is a freelanced scheme.

Dingoix. I just cheacked Firsthobby.com and they are asking only $53.99 for the BNSF SD40-2 H3's. So Pre-order. I know I am. Allan.

If the Santa Fe had been allowed to merge with the Southern Pacific in the mid 80s, the Uncle Putrid would not have been able to assimilate SP into thier big yellow sponge!
