Thx. I hope I win it.

I'd better wait on that SD90MAC unitl i double track the mainline beacause now i have 18" curves but if i double track the outside track would be about 22" (but i'm sure the SD90MAC would run on 18") It'd be cool if the illinois central ry. had one of the largest diesels ever.(SD90MAC)

I just put "BNSF" for the roadname for the SD70ACE since i'd paint it IC anyway (though i may have to leave 1 BNSF) I might request an IC SD40-2 too. Maybe if people flood the box we will see and SD70ACE and an IC SD40-2. Maybe i should start a topic asking people to request SD70ACE's [swg]

icmr,
Glad you got your Ebay account. We talked the other nite on MSN and I figured you would get to it soon. To win an item 9 times out of 10, what I do is put a watch on it for the entire auction. And if the time frame is good for me when I am home, I will sit at the pc for the last 5 minutes of the auction and figure I will pay up to$30 lets say, but the item is holding at $9 right now. At the last few minutes, I type in a $30 bid and then wait. After the auction has ended I will end up winning for $22.25, but if some one else comes in and is willing to pay more, you lose. They call this sharp shooting or a proxy bid so to speak.
I have had an Ebay Account since 2001, its like a big train show everyday. Go to the HO part where it says 24000 items or what ever the number is that day, and Type in IC,ICG,Illinois central or what ever you heart desires and it will pull up anything and everthing in IC. I think those SD40-2's SE set made buy Athearn are there every week for $40 from Dans Train Depot, sometimes no one bids on those, and he charges $7.95 for shipping, I have bought some things from him, he's got allot of items.
Just know your limit and read the payment method before you bid, some guys only take paypal but know money orders. If they do not disclose shipping, email them way before auction ends. This is a problem they are having right now with jacked up shipping cost. I emailed a guy about a freight car I was interested in, so I asked him about shipping, and he said he would give it to me if won the auction. I did not bid, but someone else won, I emailed the guy that won, and asked what he charged for shipping. Ready for this one? He charged him $12!!!!! for a BB Athearn car, which he won for $4.
Read peoples feedback before you bid and send nice emails. I have bought and sold for years now, and think ebay is great. You remember that P2K GP18 I told you I won when we were talking on MSN? Got it today, it runs perfect. And to think I got it for only $26.00. Have fun!

I will most likley get these insted of DASH8-40C's (but i still want one 8-40c)http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/dto/item141-6190.html
My decals, well car, and IC trailers will be here Monday. I'm only going to get 1 b-b GP38-2 next week because i found these http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/dto/item140-6400.html and i certainly want more 6-axle power than 4-axle power.
I might not bring back the
the city of new orleans
but i will surely get a few of those Walthers IC coaches for excursions--sent the 2-8-0 off to Bachmann so i may have an excursion engine in a few weeks

Tomorow my decals, well car, and trailers will be here and i might get a b-b GP38-2 and a few pieces of track at the LHS. Can't wait to paint an engine. All i'm going to buy for a few months is track and rolling stock. (w/ the exception of the pentrex illinois central videos) I might get an undecorated b-b SD40-2 sometime soon. I might not add to the layout for a month or 2 - that reduces the track i need right now. But if i include a 4 track staging yard that will take a lot of track. (i've gotta clean out the basement before adding on)
