I might reqest an SD70ACE to Athearn sometime. I want to get these to "patch" to a death star http://www.discounttrainsonline.com/dto/item141-6190.html I'm hoping to keep the roster primarily EMD for now.

I found an interesting IC site http://www.trainweb.org/icrr/index.htm they have an IC roster you might want to check out. I found it while searching for an IC system map (which is on the site)

On the "news" page of the site there is: CN/BNSFmerger- coming soon -CN & BNSF proposed a merge a few years ago and intended to call it the North American railway- good thing that didn't happen.

GREAT day today- got a b-b GP40-2 undecorated at the LHS for $20[tup] since it was black i didn't bother painting it. My well car, trailers, and decals came today. I got the GP40-2 decaled as #3140 (IC's only GP40-2) sadly i ruined the first decals i tried to appy as i didn't handle them gently enough. But i'm not too bad at decaling w/ the exception of a few ruined decals. I might take pics tomorow- I might re-paint my Santa Fe GP38-2 as IC death star sometime. for now i'm only going to have engines that IC did- no DASH8's, no SD70M(or MAC) when i finally do add engines IC never had I want them to be ones that might be purchased brand-new in the present (you can't get a new SD70M or DASH8) I'd like to see an Athearn ES44AC or ES44DC or SD70ACE. i need to request one tonight. i added up the total of a few different engines from your "present" roster
SD40-2...122
GP38-2...53
SW14...111
SD70...39
GP40...39
These may be slightly off but i did use a calculator.

Congrats on 1200 posts dingoix. Didnt see the reroute. Local #'s are 1626 and 1603. Yes I am going to Wes's. Glad you got your engine, cars and decals dingoix. Ive been to that site a lot. Thats where I get my operation information. Im going to use nothing but EMD and all engines will be DC, meaning that any new engines will have to be SD70M-2's. Which I wont get for a long time. I started adding a new line on my layout. My internet just let me on maybe 10 minutes ago. CN and BNSF better not merge for sake of all railroads.

QUOTE: Im going to use nothing but EMD and all engines will be DC, meaning that any new engines will have to be SD70M-2's. Which I wont get for a long time
that's odd. I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. Except I may have new AC engines but it won't be for a long time. I want to get new engines when there is a model of an enigne that actually in production. (SD70M-2, SD70ACE and ES44AC/DC ES40DC) I want 5 b-b SD40-2 undecorated as i now know they don't have to be painted, just decaled. I want several Genesis SD70's. Maybe in 3-5 years the ICry. will purchase new motive power.
QUOTE: CN and BNSF better not merge for sake of all railroads.
No S*** But they did propse a merge a few years ago. IC intended to acquire KCS in 1996(?) and as we all know that never happened.

Yes it is. Going 80 in a 55 is very good when chasing trains that are going 80 in a 55.
