I am working on my dustbunny model of a UP GP-50 and unit trailer train.

I know what you are going to ask so I will beat you to it. No I am not going to pay UP a dime.

I started by unravelling a yellow sweater over a sheet of paper. I then carefully tipped the paper up and made a "dust ball". This step is tricky because the rest of the model is built off this base. The color of the model is due to the dust used.

I found that the best place to get sweaters for this is a thrift shop. It takes several sweaters in various colors and some time to build up a nice dust train. It is also tricky to find a good work area. A good wind will distroy minutes of work so it is best to work in a corner or other protected area like under the bed. When you are done some hairspray will set you dust bunny model and it can be carefully transfered to your dust bunny landscape or layout as we call them in the US.

It's like when you see an accident up ahead, everybody slows down to see if they can see how bad of an accident it really was. Yes I know this sounds morbid, but it is just human nature. The dust bunny thing was a way I was dissmissed for my short sighted and borderline communist views on UP fund collection methods. Apparently I spend too much of my time in a pro-Up-bashing area and I needed to be taught the err of my ways. OK, here's what I think about this "problem." It's so easy on this and all other forums to be someone your not. Put any name, have aliases, be a troll or a flamer ,and it doesn't matter, cuz no one knows who you are! A while back someone on one of these forms suggested that we ALL use our real names. What would be so bad about that?

If you get right down to it, those of us who choose to be "who we are" are actually quite reachable. If you use some common sense, our profile and our name, you could actually find us. (Maybe that's a bad thing nowdays). But I like it when I look at a post or in a profile and actually KNOW who I'm talking to. So, Mr. Lotus 098, I'd like to think you're a young fella, but unfortunately, as someone else above said, maybe you're NOT. If you're who you say you are, blow it off and stop worrying. Cuz it really don't matter what the rest of us think.

Actually the only place I have quoted or linked to is the Model Railroader forum. I put the other topic over there because this was the place with a higher number of UP bashers who needed to see some facts, since they might not feel obliged to come down here if they model O scale. I like TrainFreak409 (who is also a teenager, but doesn't always write like one, post all over the place.)

I posted some really wierd stuff a couple of weeks ago, It turned out that after I taught my Gson how to find the site, he figured out how to post. I convinced him he should at least use his own handle. I don't see that he has posted stuff much since. I read some of the stuff on Trains that Lotus098 was posting, and wondered why such a string should even exist. I really appreciste the advice I get here as I try to catch up after 20 years doing other things. However, there is another even more sinister meaning of trolling, and that needs to be kept off this forum.
