A P2K motor won't actually improve it's performance all that much. I tried a P2K motor in my Athearn DASH 9 (which has an AC4400 chassis) and it didn't perform much different. Mostly just lower voltage control and a little less noise. Nickel silver wheels would be an improvement.

Here's a picture.

Its supposed to be worth a thousand words. The loco is an Athearn BB AMD 103. I bought the cars, Baggage, Lounge, Coach and a MH Boxcar, one at a time, on sale at LHSs. I have about $55-60 in the whole she-bang. Oh yeah, another $20 for the Digitrax DH 163 decoder in the loco. More photos and info on my website.

Remember its your railroad

Arriving soon is a pair of custom Southern Railway 50' TOFC flats with 3 custom Southern trailers. The cars are kitbashed from Athearn flatcars to represent Southern's TOFC flats converted from boxcar chassis.

And might I add I have just completed the kit[:)].

Brand new in the box AHM/Rivarossi ICRR #382 4-6-0. Had never been run, came from a long closed hobby shop that was finaly selling off its stockroom finds. Not brand new, but as new as this loco could be! Also picked up the full MDC Overton ICRR passenger car set, those havent been made in a few years either, also all brand new and unbuilt. Cheers MIke

Haven't bought any new locos lately, but I did score three Walther's 60' Pullman-Standard HO single-door boxcars in the old yellow -n- silver UP "map'' scheme last week...quite the coup since that paint scheme has been out of production for quite a while - couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them sitting there on the LHS shelf!

Another Dash 8 (a NS 8-40B from Tim @ Empire Northern) to add to my growing Atlas HO Dash 8 collection.

Stock?

A Walthers NS 89ft Tri-Level Autorack and half a dozen blue box RailBoxes (from various ebay winnings).

Well, the rebuilt troop cars that the Burlington used for express service that Walthers just came out with showed up at the LHS this week. So I bought six of them tonight.

I've been wanting/needing these forever! (Thank you, thank you, thank you . . .) [:D]
