Yesterday, I bought a 2-6-2 Prairie Kit by Mantua. But even though it is new in the box, I'd be hard-pressed to call it new.

An HO P2K SD60M in Conrail Quality for locomotives. An Athearn BB Norfolk Southern 50' flat car would be the newest rolling stock. The thing is really light weight though, so I put a load on it, an HO scale 1969 Dodge Charger painted like the General Lee[:p]. Who woulda ever thought them Duke Boys would be taking the train?[;)]

My newest engine is a Bachmann 8 wheel drive F9A from eBay. Actually it's 35 years old but it's new to me. My newest rolling stock is an Athearn single dome tank car and an Accurail Reefer.

Four-pack Rivarossi heavyweight passenger set. Got from Walthers on clearance, arrived badly damaged (after FIVE WEEKS shipping!), but the return/re-ship took just over a week. Looks good this time- try to get them on the tracks in the next couple of nights.

My newest locomotive (meaning when the prototype was built) is a NS GP60.

My newest loco is a Bachman Spectrum LIGHT MOUNTAIN. I re-lettered it for [:O] SANTA FE's 3700 series. [:o)] I have been told it looks "neat." I think it looks very good pulling my SANTA FE heavyweights coaches from Bachman, Athern, & Walthers. One of these days I may get some pictures posted.[:)]

Newest engine is a P2K UP GP38-2 that I got this past weekend at a show. My newest piece of rolling stock is, well: 2 sets of Walthers TTX well cars, Walthers 72' centerbeam cars, 3 Accurail Railbox boxcars, an Accurail ADM ACF hopper, and an Accurail MRL ACF hopper.

I'm trying to figure out what my next purchase will be. Something off of Ebay and most likely a GP38-2 again, or GP60 although I already have 4 GP60s so another GP38-2 wouldn't be all that bad. I love the BNSF color, but which one.

Newest is my Con-Cor "Pioneer Zephyr", which I got two days ago. Cute little thing--runs like a dream. But I'm waiting--AND WAITING--for the BLI Santa Fe 2-10-2 to come out (it's been over a year), and after that--well, I'll just look for some more second-hand Yellowstones. One can NEVER have too many Yellowstones, LOL!

I have the Athearn RTR SD45T-2 in the SP/Cotton Belt Bicentennial paint scheme. Got the matching caboose too. Also picked up lots of rolling stock at the National Train Show in Cincy. Haven't even run much of it yet.

Now if I would just receive my Con-Cor Pioneer Zephyr...

If you mean newest in the sense of when you received it, mine is a Walthers CSX 65' Mill Gondola kit. Arriving soon is a pair of custom Southern Railway 50' TOFC flats with 3 custom Southern trailers. The cars are kitbashed from Athearn flatcars to represent Southern's TOFC flats converted from boxcar chassis.

Mine is not new. Three TOFC Flatcars from Athearn that I just finished rebuilding and installing LL 33" metal wheels.

I suppose washing the dust off, replacing wore out parts and painting with fresh paint qualifies a 10 year old model set as new.

I am slowly working on a walthers heavyweight set.
