I went into my LHS last Friday evening and the Walthers troop cars which were converted to "Burlington" express cars had finally come in. These are signature cars used on the railroad post-WWII and I've been wanting some for several years.

So I bought SIX of them . . . [8D]

. . .and now I'm a VERY happy camper. [:D]

(Now I'm waiting for the U28-B's and 30-B's to show up.) [:p]

An Atlas Southern boxcar and a few Athearn BBs. This will change next weekend at the Atlanta train show though. Need more Southern cars and coal hoppers.

Another Baldwin VO from Stewart Hobbies. I love those things and I've decided that they are to be the stock switcher on the Selenian Lines.

Chip, that's what's called NOS for new-old stock (or stick). new in the fact it's never been used and old, because it was made a while ago. Since you just bought it, it's new.

I've been buying some superliner equipment, both Walther's and Con-Cor plus 3 new Athearn P-42's to pull them. All from Ebay.

Well, the rebuilt troop cars that the Burlington used for express service that Walthers just came out with showed up at the LHS this week. So I bought six of them tonight.

I've been wanting/needing these forever! (Thank you, thank you, thank you . . .) [:D]

Haven't bought any new locos lately, but I did score three Walther's 60' Pullman-Standard HO single-door boxcars in the old yellow -n- silver UP "map'' scheme last week...quite the coup since that paint scheme has been out of production for quite a while - couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them sitting there on the LHS shelf!

Brand new in the box AHM/Rivarossi ICRR #382 4-6-0. Had never been run, came from a long closed hobby shop that was finaly selling off its stockroom finds. Not brand new, but as new as this loco could be! Also picked up the full MDC Overton ICRR passenger car set, those havent been made in a few years either, also all brand new and unbuilt. Cheers MIke
