Weekend Photo Fun!

Happy Fouth of July weekend, everyone!!! As a long holiday weekend, this should turn out a good quantity (and quality, considering the talent ya'll have demonstrated in the past) of pics. To kick it off, here goes...

Industrial switcher hustles Platte Canyon coal at Public Service Company of Colorado's Cherokee Station generating plant in Denver.

The loco is an old Athearn we got at a train show for $5. I removed the "guts" (motor) and added the headlight, windows and weathering. It's for display only at the plant.

Ma and Paw cattle operation on the Platte Canyon spur.

Grande mixed freight approaches the CB&Q interchange south of Sedalia. The consist is a mix of old and new. The lead unit is a GP30 followed by a GP7 with a new GP35 bringing up the rear.
