Oh! Now I remember what it was before that really Big Burrito! ...
SeeYou190 Track fiddler I never did put any signage on it??? Maybe I've been waiting for Kevin to send me (SeeYou190 Grain Pool and Associate), so I can finish it. I would certainly post a picture of that For real Kevin. Just come up with some of your Fine Artistic Craftsmanship and lick a stamp so I can post it. My middle daughter is the person who makes all the custom signs for me. Sorry, no "Fine Artistic Craftsmanship" in the sign-making department here. -Kevin

It could be I was a little bored this afternoon into the evening.
But that doesn't excuse the fact that I dug up some really good old bones here...
Seems to me
If your Daughter is talented enough in the Signage Department, She's the (Chip Off the Old Block) inherited from you.
I always did like this one you designed for me Kevin
Even if it was (Plug and Play). It was an amazing job done in the "Signage Design Department"
Apparently you don't give yourself enough credit around here

POST HOG!!!
Oops, I forgot what I was going to say next
I'm sure it will come to me soon, after I eat this really big slow roasted pork burrito from Pancheros
Good afternoon Fall Bucks
Yesterday was Pete's birthday party out in Prior Lake that was a Hoot! Our friend Pete turned the big 60 yesterday.
"Oh for Pete's Sake!"
Later that evening was the lantern lightning at the cemetery.
We go to the lantern lighting every year for Judy's sister Kelly that died from the covid.
This year was a drawing of a Steamer for my Dad from me.
It looks like a little kid drew it and probably the little kid in me where we left off did.
I asked the nice lady that was handing out the colored pencils and markers if she would take a picture late at night and text it to me.
And she did!
My dad only had one layout he showed me when I was quite young but he had a room filled with display cases full of HO Steamers that he showed me the day before he died.
On a more Happier Note, It is estimated that the mining town of Oatman, Arizona turned into a ghost town shortly after 1906 after the gold mines dried up.
Many years later the town repopulated only as a lock and key Day Town for tourists.
All the donkeys were set free from the mine and the descendants from the descendants come down from the foothills and roam the town in search of food during the day.
Here's Miss Judy!
Of course she would be taking a drag off her cigarette during the picture, but the donkey was asking her, "What's in the bag lady?"
We had lunch in a little cafe in the town that day. All the doors are wide open in that town. This young donkey strolled into the cafe and our waitress stomped her foot and said "You know better than this, GET OUT OF HERE". And he did...Quickly
Our waitress was very nice but a rather weathered woman! If she had told me to do something, I would have done it in a split second without reservation
The Donkeys are all from yesteryear but like a bunch of little tamed puppy dogs and you got to go there

We went to a Parrot Head Club party yesterday. It was outdoors in a pavilion on a beautiful day. They had a live band. Live music is starting to come back here.
I actually requested a song, "Toes" by the Zach Brown band. They'd never done it, but it sure sounded great and everyone, even me, got up to dance. I was talking to them later, and they said they were putting it into their regular song list because it went so well.
I'm glad I moved to Delaware, for the live music if nothing else. Where I used to live in Massachusetts, the music clubs I used to go to are now just coffee shops or bars, but no music. According to the singer yesterday, a lot of music places went out of business or now just pipe in commercial music, nothing live.

Good Morning,
Dave, we were in Gimli when that plane landed. We were on our sailboat in the harbour . We were unaware until later as we didn't see it go over.

EeeeYep!!!!!!! I will no longer watch the videos on several online news channels as they have figured out how to embed them to play before the actual news story. I also have a personal pledge to NEVER buy any of those products that manage to find ways around the blockers!
I stopped watching TV over a decade ago when Mash reruns which were originally a half hour show became an hour show and usually left out a scene or two so they could put the **** ads in your face!
OK, I'll shut up before I get banned here. Yes I do understand they need to use ads to pay for the site. But, there is no reason to make them "In Your Face" like they do. I really don't think that results in more sales for companies.... Just my

hon30critterThe investigation uncovered a series of combined blunders and equipment failures that resulted in the plane only receiving half of its proper fuel load. People were quick to blame the recent conversion from imperial measurement to metric, and while that did play a part, faulty fuel level indicators and errors by mechanics were the real culprits.

What a lucky break that Captain Pearson was an experienced glider pilot!
I wonder just how far a dead 737 MAX could glide? Those wings sure look tiny on that thing.
Hey! Look at that, top-o-the-page... What should our in-flight meal be?
Well — WINGS of course!

SeeYou190The plane ran out of fuel on the way, and it had to land in Tampa for more. That caused the delay. I can't even wrap my head around that one. I guess they fuel planes with just enough fuel to reach their destination... a little head wind... you can't make it the last 100 miles of a 4,000 mile flight. Crazy.
Hi Kevin,
Do you remember the story about the 'Gimli Glider'?
In 1983 an Air Canada Boeing 767 ran out of fuel half way throught its flight from Montreal to Edmonton. The flight crew were able to make a dead stick landing from 41,000 ft. at a retired air force base in Gimli, Manitoba. Nobody was injured either on the plane, or on the ground despite the fact that there was a car race taking place on the runways as the plane landed.
The investigation uncovered a series of combined blunders and equipment failures that resulted in the plane only receiving half of its proper fuel load. People were quick to blame the recent conversion from imperial measurement to metric, and while that did play a part, faulty fuel level indicators and errors by mechanics were the real culprits.
Must have been an interesting ride!
Cheers!!
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
My wife came back home from Seattle tonight.
Her flight was almost two hours late arriving in Fort Myers. The plane ran out of fuel on the way, and it had to land in Tampa for more. That caused the delay.
I can't even wrap my head around that one. I guess they fuel planes with just enough fuel to reach their destination... a little head wind... you can't make it the last 100 miles of a 4,000 mile flight.
Crazy.

Good morning, everyone. Just a quick post this morning. The out-of-town company and I are going to do some traveling to some cemeteries and sight-seeing in the area.
Looking at gravestones is not my favorite activity, and it will be good to have a happy hour when we get home this afternoon.
I'm just about over the baseball-watching season, and I'm getting excited about football. My favorite baseball team lost last night by walking in the winning run. Million dollar pitchers! Time to end the season.
Out here on the plains, there is not a lot of industry. That's why this complex stands out so much. It's a grain handling -- ethanol plant about 20 miles away. I'm always amazed at the number of train tank cars and covered hoppers this place handles.
In industrialized areas, this would probably be a common site, but out here, it really stands out. Some neat modeling ideas if you want chemical or oil refinery projects for the layout.
Have a great day everyone!

Not me.
Is anyone else being harassed by that ad for the Chevrolet electric vehicle today?
It starts at the bottom as a normal ad, but when I scroll down, it grows and fills the whole screen, then it will not shrink or close.
I have had to exit the forum several times because of it.
Frustrating. The other ads are not doing this, just the one.
Tin Can IIMy daughter is taking her to a Michael Buble concert in Dallas tonight; and then she will go spend a couple of days with her before heading to her mother's mid week.
That should be a great time. I took my youngest daughter to see Michael Buble at the Naples Philharmonic Center For The Arts about ten years ago. He was great.
moelarrycurly4Kevin: That sounds about right with the giddy weather people and the tropical storm. when I lived in Houston if a storm appeared in the Atlantic they had it hitting Houston every time then people would empty the shelves and the storm would hit S Carolina.
They are a funny bunch right now.
The storm turned to the North today, and it is heading into the Atlantic... however... they have warned us that this should not make us feel safe and this is not the time to relax yet.
I am looking forward to the 6:00 updates.
I was sitting out on my back porch here at the Southern Command Post reading and a humming bird flew right up in my face two or three times, That was neat, the first time I have had one get that close.
I must have smelled good....
Good morning, diners.
We have out-of-town company here, so the next several days will be busy.
Kansas is the leading wheat producing state, growing nearly one-fifth of all wheat in the U.S. Wheat is one of the U.S.'s big exports, and a lot of wheat is transported to the docks by train.

We've taken in quite a few extended weekend getaways this summer as they are fun.
Here's my brother-in-law's mechanic shop he re-built the Mustang up in Wisconsin.
I remember that exciting day in the Fall when he was all done building my engine
I OSB'ed the inside of that pull-barn about 13 years ago after we did the new roof. The only difference is the panels cost 8 bucks back then instead of 50 bucks now.
My brother-in-law had his own band when he was a youngster. He reformed a new one, think to re-live his childhood now that he's getting older. Don't we all do things like that though
That's me leaning over his steel guitar singing Wish You Were Here. Did some Johnny Cash too, it was fun.
Cousin Jason had been to Oatman to see the tame donkeys and had the same sweatshirt so I grabbed my Oatman t-shirt out of my bag and put it on over my flannel.
It was kinda stupid but at the same time fun while having a few beers
Dave left his drum set for the weekend so CC could play them.
She really liked playing the drums and was actually not too bad at it for how little she is.
Huh, Posting was working rather well this morning
Have a great weekend gentlemen
Greetings from our Southern Command. visiting MS for a few days. going to do not much of anything while here.

I have been cleaning out the undergrowth around my house and repainting some areas where the paint started peeling. who ever planted this english ivy at my house should be shot.
My steps had faded so I repainted those as well. I still have to paint the side porch steps.
I have a giant Holly bush that has gone wild again, time to give it the chain saw treatment again. I use the chain saw on a stick ( as the wife calls the pole saw).
We had thunderstorms last night; no hail or tornados. The NWS says we got 1.39 inches of rain, which we needed badly.
My wife left for a week long trip to Texas. My daughter is taking her to a Michael Buble concert in Dallas tonight; and then she will go spend a couple of days with her before heading to her mother's mid week. Her mom is having cataract surgery and needs a little help.
I am looking forward to some time in the train room. I will try to post some pictures if I make any progress.
SeeYou190There is a tropical storm out in the Atlantic. In a week, it might be close to Florida. You cannot imagine the excitement and glee in the local weather forecasters now that they have something to talk about.
You have to feel for these meteorologists. There haven't been any storms in the Gulf so far this year, and the weathermen are getting squirrelly.
