Rule 1: This is my railroad.
Rule 2: I make the rules.
Rule 3: Illuminating discussion of prototype history, equipment and operating practices is always welcome, but in the event of visitor-perceived anacronisms, detail descrepancies or operating errors, consult RULE 1!

How's about a Train Miniature reefer I did whilst a member of the Yosemite Valley RR club in Atwater, CA. Tis one of those fantasy schemes.

By the way that does not look like one of Jim Hediger's Ohio Southern Boxcars, and the Ohio Southern was a real railroad absorbed into the DT&I.
One of my 13 Anderson's Converted Covered Hoppers painted in green tinted silver paint.
dti406By the way that does not look like one of Jim Hediger's Ohio Southern Boxcars.
No it does not, but it is my tribute to his OHIO SOUTHERN. I corresponded with Jim many years ago. He sent me decal sets for HURON STEEL, but not OHIO SOUTHERN. I lettered that boxcar with lettering from a SOO LINE decal set.
I used the decals he sent to letter this gondola, and a couple of idler flat cars.
Jim's decals for HURON STEEL were printed by Rail Graphics. He used the same type style and color I use for the STRATTON AND GILLETTE.
It looked like his OHIO SOUTHERN also used the same, or very similar, typestyle. I try to introduce a variety of typestyles in the Fleet Of Nonsense, so the SOO LINE set seemed like a good starting place for my fancy OHIO SOUTHERN tribute boxcar.
I think silver color is still the request.
Here is a bright and shiny bus:

Several companies offer similar diners. I acquired the built up and lighted Miss Molly's Diner that Woodland Scenics relased last year. It will go at the front of a scene I will be redoing soon.

GORT is the kind of whimsical feature John Allen might have put on his Gorre & Daphetid. Didn't he have a flying saucer somewhere on his layout?
