Jarrell's Show Me Something — August 2022

We finished up July with Slogans. Wayne contributed several. There are plenty of slogans out there so let's start off with a few more:

Thanks for starting the new Show Me Something thread Ed.

In my collection, the Road To The Future is the LANGFORD AND SOUTHERN:

In hindsight, I wish I would have made the Road To The Future be the HILL VALLEY CENTRAL, but that was not a quick enough thought.

More Slogans Please...

The NYC painted two cars in this paint scheme, a 40' and a 50' boxcar, as an experiment but settled on the Century Green car with the Cigar Band instead.

Other fancy or one of a kind paint schemes!

Not fancy, but one-of-a-kind.

This is the only one of my SGRR PS-1 boxcars not to have a herald, but instead have "S&G" in large letters. I painted this one, then decided to spend the money to have Rail Graphics print me some heralds.

I've been having trouble connecting to the forums the last few days but things seem to be working OK for now.

This has always been one of my favorite boxcar paint schemes.

I'd say that photo scored on all three counts.

This one is just colorful.

I don't know if these qualify as a paint job but I stripped the lettering off both a caboose and a Mikado and relettered them for my fictional road.

The fictional short line Munsee Valley Railroad connects with the equally fictional New York, Binghamton, & Western at Bedford Falls. Here is the MVRR's rickety old caboose.

Let's stick with the fictional road theme a little while longer.

This car is awaiting some modifications such as new ladders, grab irons and sill steps. Hopefully a manufacturer might come along with a new and improved version some day:
