I like that drill Dave.  Will it chuck down to a #80 bit?

Our kids got us stuff for our cabin in northern WI.  I don't need any train stuff.  I have to downsize the as it is.  Things I've never touched, or even opend in 2 or 3 years?  Indifferent

It's better that way.  I get what I want when I need it, I don't need anyone buying me random train stuff.

TF, so you cooked those ribs for 54 hours on low heat?  Confused  Or did you mean 4 to 5 hours?

Mike.

Well, guys, I got the shirt that you didn't.  That's not all bad because it was a rugby.  Now to change the color . . .  Wink

AND, bucks for 4 decoders!

A merry Christmas and blessed New Year to you all.

And thanks for a forum that has such great participation from a host of folks in far-flung places.  You guys make it all the richer. Bow

Because the washer and dryer crapped out that was our Christmas present.Sad

Actually I bought myself a gift off eBay, a Rivarossi Cab Forward upper and lower shell at a very good price.  They were listed as used but they sure look new to me, great find.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Mel

I got some nice things for my gardening hobby, but also two train books from my sister and stuff like dark chocolate covered ginger and ginger flavored herbal tea.

I asked for only one thing;  it was model train related, and my wife searched and got it for me.  The November 2021 issue of the NMRA Magazine, page 12, has an article by Glenn Wolfe about a tool he bought that he thought other model railroaders might want to know about.  He needed to drill precise holes for lighting in the layout scenery and benchwork withouit disturbing nearby details.  An electric drill would have the torque but would be potentially destructive to detail; a pin vise would have the precision but not the torque.  He found an interesting kind of hand drill from Fiskars which has a comfortable sort of pistol like grip rather than the vertical "hand mixer" look of most hand drills where you press down with your palm.  He says he got his at a fabric store; my wife had to search longer online for the one she found.  I am eager to give it a try.  It seems very well built.

Exactly what I expected, and exactly what I deserved.

You're welcome!

Thanks for thinking of me.  At least it wasn't a shirt.

Very low heat 54 hour Ribs.

That was yesterday but my taste-buds are still content.

I can buy myself what wver I want, xmas has not been a time of gifts for me for a long time. That being said, I just recently ran out of matt medium and yesterday Micheals sent me a coupon for 40% off an item which was good because the price of that stuff has gone way up.

A shirt in October.  At our age we might not be here if we waited that long to give it.
