A pessimist sees a dark tunnel
An optimist sees the light at the end of the tunnel
A realist sees a frieght train
An engineer sees three idiots standing on the tracks stairing blankly in space
I have to tell you I like that green Turtle Creek passenger car of yours Shane
There's a good thing for good people in Minnesota here to help a turtle cross the street.
I have stopped my truck on the side of the road and helped a turtle cross the street so many times. People honk at me and think I'm wacked!
The turtles in the spring always cross the roads and highways to go lay their eggs and then come back. A lot of them are not making it across or back anymore.
I'm kind of a whack job but I always stop to help a turtle cross the street

The Black River Railroad is named after the river that flows through my town. The loco and caboose are the only "home road" equipment on the layout.

Yes, he once asked for suggestions on how to use such a long roadname on a freight car, so I painted one up as an example.
He didn't like it because I split the roadname off onto both sides of the door. He also did not approve of my changing of the reporting marks from NWP/SWP to NSWP.

Don't dispair. He voted down my diamond emblem, too.

His request was to have a diamond with a bar through it. I was sort of inspired by the old Illinois Central Green Diamond.

I asked my brother to do the artwork for a number of decal sets that I wanted made by Rail Graphics, to honour a departed friend. I had canvassed my fellow modellers in my "home" forum, and had enough sets made for all who were interested, selling them at cost.
The response was excellent, as he was well-respected, and I made certain that I had a good representation of his planned, but never realised, rolling stock....

Back when I used to go to every train show I could, and saw all the layouts on display, the "Hoffa Cement" company was all over the place.
I never cared for the joke, but I must admit, it always drew attention and points from the crowds. I guess that means it is successful.
This version is on the HO scale modular train show layout built by the Pasco County Model Railroaders.

Kevin ..... Does the 4 aces boxcar have a single deck ? .... You have so many creative names, you could keep this thread going by yourself with this topic for several days.
Here is my last contribution for fictional names. Kevin will recorgnize the boxcar.
Kevin has been suggesting it is time for a change. So, let's get started with our ABC's.
