Please show more steam locomotives, any configuration, any color.

Here is another green steam locomotive. This is on the Southern O Scalers round display train layout.

Steam trains on Sunday, how fun... Show me another steam locomotive, any type, any color.

Sorry, but none of my steam locomotives would be caught dead in just basic black...

I must be missing something, they all look black to me.

doctorwayne
Please show us your version of how you want your steam locomotives to look.

This Northern is the look I am going for. Pretty simple.

Show me another steam locomotive.

For covered wagons, MLW's FPA- and FPB-4s are my hands-down favourites.  I made this pair using a Model Power FA and FB....

Not so exotic, BRVRR #1116 is the one-and-only locomotive on the Black River Valley roster.

More one-of-a kind or special paint jobs, please.

The die-hard STRATTON AND GILLETTE railfans are puzzled by this boxcar. It is not just the only forty foot boxcar to receive the "Route Of The Comet Express" slogan inside of the herald, but the colors af the herald rings are also incorrect.

Please share more one-of-a kind or special paint jobs.

During the Bicentennial, B&M painted a number of locomotives for the event. Some had a simplified scheme, like GP-7 BM1715. I modeled it as it was shown in a photo taken around 1980, showing some use and wear

This Ontario Northland boxcar was "recycled" into MOW service as a tool car. This was fun to weather.

More of the open top freight cars please.

In the background are formerly open-top cars, and the gondola load of scrap in the foreground still is:

Please show me a retired freight car, with no wheels or trucks, and perhaps relegated to another purpose.

At Jaite's Scrap Yard, some former hopper car side walls are used as a retaining wall:

Please show me another scene with scrap, recycled materials or "recycled" railroad cars i.e. cars used for a new purpose other than what they were designed for.

I may get a bad reputation for this, but here's more open-top freight cars - in this version, they're Tyco 40' reefers, shortened to about 35'...

...they eventually got roofs....

...and ends...

...and some details....

...and finally, paint and lettering, too...

...but, just to show that I actually do have some conventional open-top cars, here are some hoppers, lettered in memory of a good friend, taken too soon...

Wayne

More open-top cars, please.

Here is one of my favorites... but it is a passenger car instead of a freight car... being used as a tunnel on a live steam layout next to the train tracks.

This scene is on the North Georgia Modu-Rail HO scale sectional layout.

We had a double request... lets go back to my previous request that was posted the same time as Wayne's:

This Athearn Blue Box boxcar is perhaps not quite what you were expecting...

...but here it is...open top and all...

....and here it is, along with a couple of relatives, no longer open-top...

...and here's one of eight which I created, complete with eaves lowered by 6"(HO), along with a few other tweaks...
