Well, I have plenty of that! Here's some Intermodal containers, New Haven hoppers, and a Chessie covered hopper that've seen better days, caught basking in the outdoor summer sun on my N Scale layout.
Love me some good weathering! Show me some more well worn models and/or scenes!
Here's a 1924-style X-29 boxcar that's been rebuilt (a true re-build, as the frame was altered) into an express car, as seen sometime after being re-weighed in 1937...
...and the same car, sometime after being re-weighed in 1947...
...and again in what appears to have been 1955...
I built the first car for myself, using a modified kit from Red Caboose, while the second car was built as a retirement gift for a friend who managed the shortline railroad where the real boxcar was based. The third version was for a longtime friend who helped fund the project.
Each car is appropriate to the era of the layouts where they now reside.

Gladly!
Heres a few engines and cars I've weathered using cheap acrylic paints from walmart. The nice thing about them is if you dont like it, it's easy to remove and start fresh. My skills are very basic but I get better with every car/engine.
Lets see some more weathering
