Sorry, my crystal ball is packed away, so I am not able to tell the future. Better sound in HO scale (no ho!) is certainly high up on quite a few people´s wish list, but there are limitations by the laws of acoustics to what is possible.

Happy times!

The most needed advancement, as you said, are much better speakers.

I think something using proximity sensors, or a different sensor of some sort will make signal installation much easier and solve all the problems with DCC and signalling. That does not require new technology, just new application for what already exists.

Dead rail, locomotives, freight and passenger cars, power supplies, scenery, buildings, sound.

what would you like to see? In the sound category I would like a deeper base on onboard sound speakers.

dead rail is something in the early stages of development, that may be the next big advance.

what do you think it will be and what  would you like to see.
