I love Christmas.
And ... Edit! Top of Page. My Christmas gift to everyone is a drink of water from my indoor plumbing. Of course, you have to come here to get it. I'm not mailing it to anyone.

One of my colleagues, who is about 72 used his first indoor toilet when he went to the US Naval Academy. My mom, 20 years older, went missing as a child.
That threw the whole neighborhood into an uproar. They found her asleep in the out house
It was a quad-house, I had to model it

My self, I have been homeless. But I had a job and a running car. So while it was not a good time, no one was shooting at me and I did not mind acting like a Bear in the woods. I had T/P paper.
Old Christams Ornamemt's I think maybe be I still have some from my youth I loved! But No, I cannot use them. My wife think's we need Pink Flamingo's on a white Christams Tree.
Ed Reason I did not warm up to the idea of a Tsnami decoder was because of the decoder in my Walthers Bessimer SD 9. It suckes rail spikes! But if you say they a good, well they are good. Let me know about the old Niagara decoder, but if it used a Chuff Sensor. I think BLI stepped on the rail spike with that idea.

We made it to Orlando all safe and sound. The kids made it from Los Angeles and we had a nice dinner at a Brazilian Steakhouse on International Drive.
.
I wish Track Fiddler could have made it to Orlando too as planned.

Living the dream.
Good Morning!
December 24th - Christmas Eve! In my country, this is the big day for the children! Santa comes today, as soon as the sun has set! Quite a lot earlier, but he needs to do that to be in time for his job on the other side of the Big Pond.
It´s going to be just Petra and I for the holidays. Our son will join us for a few hours on Friday. We have not seen much of him this year, in fact, it´s the first time he finds the time to pay a visit. I am not dwelling on the issue, but I know the day will come when he regrets not having spent more time with his old folks.
Found this interesting video - not only for New York Central RR aficionados to enjoy, but all others enjoying to rejuvenate their memories of times long gone by.
Merry Christmas to all!
Happy times!

Good Morning All,
And an early Merry Christmas. I may or may not reappear here later today or tomorrow so.....
Even for heathens and infidels this is a time to ignore differences and wish all good will and good cheer. Peace on earth and good will towards men it think it goes. Best, J.R.
Merry Christmas all.
I sure did enjoy an early Christmas weekend with my two daughters. We made great food, played games and watched Christmas movies. Christmas dinner was lasagna
My oldest daughter brought a gingerbread Christmas choo choo kit we had fun decorating. I thought it would be only appropriate to post it here on the Railroad Forum for you guys to see.
I put CP on the tender after Dave told me all the information I never knew about Canadian Pacific. My daughter thought it was for Christmas Pacific I told her that works too.
After all they do have the Christmas Train I have seen on quite a few occasions.
I only wish I could have made it to Orlando this year too Kevin. As it turned out, Family stayed in town this year, so it took priority on the list.
Happy Holidays

Good morning on Christmas Eve.
We have church tonight, then Santa comes. Santa is bringing my wife a special present this year, and she still has no idea. This is the first time in a long time that Santa has been able to hide something from her.
TF, that's a pretty neat gingerbread train.
Lynn Johnston is a Canadian cartoonist who drew the comic strip, "For Better or For Worse". Her husband had a model railroad, and the subject often came up in her comic strips.

Practising for next year - hopefully!
In Denmark, it is not Santa who brings all the presents - it´s the Jul nisser, little Christmas elves that come in the night before Christmas Eve. Children provide a little door for the elves to enter the house and put a bowl of rice pudding with almonds on the table for the Jul nisser to feast on. But beware, if the Jul nisser are not happy with it, the do all sort of mischievious things!

One of my grandchildren was scared of that elf. It changed locations each night, and he was convinced the thing was alive.

Flo, give the Rain Deer's and I a and the Dirk the Elf a Elf treat.
Dang, I still love her. Today before work I bought my Wife the Ugliest Pink Flamingo I have ever seen! It is lawn art (not in my yard!) and when we take Dirk to the park there is a store called Maryville Grain And Feed and she admired it every time we dove by it.
So today before work I ran by the store and bought the dran thing.
Later none smoking Ken for 8 months on Christmas Day and Dirk says Woof, Woof.
It´s Christmas morning here. I am up for quite a few hours. In fact, I didn´t find any sleep last night. There are just too many thoughts on my mind keeping me awake. Counting sheep didn´t help - sigh!
I love the mystical peace and quiet of the early morning of this day. There are no sounds to be heard other than those Mother Nature gives us. There is the distant, hollow bark of a fox, which sounds like someone coughing. I heard an owl a few moments ago. No man-made noise around - wonderful!
I wish we had a fireplace. I´d be sitting next to a nice fire, with a mug filled with hot chocolate, spiced up a little. The warmth would make me sleepy...
Maybe, one day.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Merry Christmas, everyone. Daisy the Dachshund and I are the only ones up.

I wish you lived a little closer, I'd invite you over to enjoy ours. The smell of the wood burning is so nice on a cold winter morning. I hope you can put the thoughts out of your mind, get some rest, and have a good Christmas evening.
My wife gave me an N Scale movie theater for the layout. Most of my stuff is scratchbuilt, but this was pre-assembled and painted. Not something I would have picked myself, but she was thinking of me and did her best, so the theater will be lit up and open for business later today.
We have snow predicted for Saturday, so we will have a white Christmas three days late.
I wish and pray for each of you to have the personal peace in your heart and life that the real Christmas embodies.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas to all! I don't see where to change the color of the font, I wanted to do this in red letters.
Anyway, here's an oldy, my GBP Christmas train, in the living room, in Jan., 2009.
It eventually grew each year to about double what you see, I haven't set it all up in a bout 4 years.
I'm doing a new Christmas layout using On3.

Here you go. You'll have to provide your own hot chocolate and, umm, spicing.
Merry Christmas and hoping for a good New Year!

This insert was included in one of our Christmas cards this year. Judy got a bigger kick out of it than I did.

Hoping all of you are having a very Merry Christmas Day!
YouTube for our fireplace too. A little Rum Chata instead of spiked cocoa to keep us warm. Merry Christmas everyone!

Post hog! Post hog!
Sorry, TF has to post again here.
My Brother just arrived for Christmas. I'm sure you've all been to an R rated movie, well here is the take off. One of my Christmas presents from my Bro.
A good one isn't it? I bet I'm the only one that has a t-shirt like this to wear to the train shows Usually it's the small gifts that are the best.

Well, all he could say was HO, HO, HO ...

This is hard on my old body. After two or three weeks of Thanksgiving turkey, we got to a fine local Italian place last night. It took forever to order. We both wanted one of everything. My blood sugar skyrocketed, but Christmas comes but once a year.
But, Christmas breakfast was another blood sugar delight. French toast made with some Italian specialty bread, and Virginia maple syrup.
Tonight is roast beef, prime bone in crown roast. That I can eat, as long as I avoid potatoes and bread. Breakfast tomorrow will be yogurt.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Ed you're hilarious and now we all know why you model HO
Flo, give the gang and I a and Dirk a half of a dog treat.
Over all today was a good day. Gave Sharon and Shawn $200.00 cash and Sharon was shocked. My wife was all so surprised I bought the Ugly Butt Pink Flamingo (she think's it is beautiful) for her! I was sneaky about how I gave it to her. After the kid's got here I went outside and got the Flamingo out of my car trunk and placed it in the front of the pourch. Her Christmas Card had the receipt in it and the name threw her for a loop!
She asked "Who is Maryville Grain and Feed?" Told her to look out the front door. She was a happy wife!
Later none smoking Ken for 8 months and Dirk say's Woof Merry Christmas Woof.
