This car has a bit of nostalgia attached to it. I remember my dad getting one like this for me on one of our cross-town trips to a hobby shop when I was quite young.

I just found one at a very reasonable price so I treated myself to a re-kindled memory.

Show me a car or locomotive that holds a special memory for you.
A special memory? I hadn't thought about it, but here is a special memory that is still in use after more than 20 years. It is an EMD A and B F units teemed together and operating well. The B unit is a much older Varney shell that I reworked for this duty.
More Special Memories please.

NYC F7 #1855 is an Athearn BB kit locomotive and the first engine in which I installed a sound decoder, twelve or so years ago. Recent modifications have placed the sound in the B-unit. Both are seen frequently on the layout.
More memories please.
