My budget Empire Builder train sits at the "station".

Show me more Empire Builder F units.

Edit: I see someone else beat me to it. Here are some blue boxcars:

Can I still get some Empire Builder F7s? Thanks.

I'm beginning to realize that Windows 10 and sound decoders have a lot in common. There are so many things you have to change in order to get them to work the way you want.

I built this locomotive for a friend, from a brass model of a USRA 2-10-2....

...just like the 10 prototypes which the CNR built from 10 USRA 2-10-2s, acquired second-hand, from the Boston & Albany, after the latter road received their first Berkshires.

When I got this Atlas (Branchline) reefer kit (along with another very similar car) free, from my LHS, both were billboard beer reefers.  However, since my layout is set in the late '30s, after such cars had been outlawed, it seemed a good idea to make it something a little more appropriate to the era, as I had a suitable lettering set on-hand...

The original lettering wipe-off easily from both cars, and with no other decal sets on-hand, I lettered the second one, using dry transfers, for my home road's Grand Valley Export Ltd.....

As you can see, neither car has yet received the second grabiron, on the side, near the left end, mandated in the mid-'30s.

A special memory? I hadn't thought about it, but here is a special memory that is still in use after more than 20 years. It is an EMD A and B F units teemed together and operating well. The B unit is a much older Varney shell that I reworked for this duty.

It hs been almost a day, and this is as close as I can get. An Athearn BB tank car with its box that I found at a train show. Note the original price: $2.35!! I paid more than that at the show

OK, tank car, here's one from a couple years ago, I bashed an Athearn 65' tank from the 60's into a something a little more modern looking, giving it the looks of a Procor LP or anhyrous amonia tank car

I like tank cars, more please!

I used the same Athearn car to build this version, based on sketches I did of the prototype (I didn't have a camera with me at the time).

I wasn't even aware that they crated autos, but have seen them single level and two-level, and also on-end, in boxcars, and, of course, multiple levels in autoracks, and on-end in the Vert-A-Pac cars.

All I wanted to be shown was a piece of rolling stock in its box, (a variation on "box car") and George's response was close enough.

Kevin, that good-looking hopper is overloaded:   gravel is much denser than coal and that load should fill, at most, only half the car...

Does an amout count for a number?

BNSF 3764, leading a consist of, among other things, Tanktrain cars (there is the requested letters as well) prepares to advance as it recieves a "clear" signal.

Show me some other symbol that one can find on a keyboard.

I'm beginning to realize that Windows 10 and sound decoders have a lot in common. There are so many things you have to change in order to get them to work the way you want.
