NWP SWPOk well, uh, I can't ask Annalise out, why? Well I found out she is FOURTEEN!!! I coulda swore she was at least 16-17 (leaning more towards 17, if ya know what I mean) but no she is FOURTEEN!!! Well it's not meant to be.
Well ....
I was gonna say, " your a young man. You can wait 4 year's ."
But then it occured to me .... they call that "Stalking".
It 's ok, There's someone out there for you.

Butterscotch milkshake's for all !!!
Rust...... It's a good thing !
Well I'm still gonna be a friend, and in a few years who knows, like I said I'm just trying to get out there.
I don't want to be like my friend who in her first year of college and just went on her first date. I might not meet Ms. Right for another decade, but I'm bound to meet some great people and pick up some funny stories (like this one) along the way.
Steve
If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough!
CNCharlie. Thank you. Yes your information really did help.
I think what has made my decision so difficult for so long, is I love the look of ME track and turnouts. They also have a great wide Bridge track I need. What held me back from going with this choice was being limited to a #6 turnout. I also did not know they were spring loaded like PECO. That's definitely a plus.
Your idea of using #5 Atlas turnouts in the yards(mixing track) is a great one. I've heard siding and yard track is prototypically different than Main Line track anyway, so this makes perfect sense. I will just switch to Atlas code 55 track and turnouts off the Mains to the yards as you suggested.
I have heard about the weathered track as you stated. I will steer clear of that.
It has always been my intention to go with standard DC with blocks. I heard you can still put sound decoders in the more modern locomotives that I have purchased.
Yes you did help me out. I'm glad you posted. I will be buying a mix of track brands next week and really glad I'm getting my ME after all.
Thanks Charlie TF
G'mornin' everyone. It "was" supposed to be a semi-productive day outside ... But then rain showed up.
Not entirely sure what the plan is now. Maybe tackle the garage so SWMBO can bark her car there again.

Got in a little train time this morning.Completed the last of my Branchline Trains box cars. Now I have to hunt around that auction site for more. Boy, I really like those kits. Wish they still made them.
Had a big 8-point buck in the yard this morning. Won't see him opening day, though!! Ha! That's still aways off. I love deer hunting but I'm pretty sure I'll miss this year.
Hey, I finally broke 1000!

That's how we set man lifts, of all sizes, into concrete tanks on treatment plant jobs so us finishers could finish off the concrete walls, plug tie holes, grind form seams, etc. We used to hand set scaffolding, but that was tons of extra work, and many extra hours.
Had a new washer delivered this am, couple of young guys, I went to the shop and got him a small level. He said thanks, but he had an "app" on his phone, and sure enough, there was a level "bubble" on his screen.
He set it on my "old fashion" level, just to show me how it worked. Sure enough, moved my level, and his level moved with it.

JaBear, you're a kick. Don't ever stop doing the Forum Funnies. It's always just the kind of nonsense I need. My kind of humor. Those wilderbeast are my favorite.
I don't know how it can be, but for some reason they remind me of those two old guys sitting up in the balcony on The Muppet Show, with there snide comments.
Keep em coming JaBear......TF likes

Found a forgotten treasure today. Found a Bowser PRR Caboose Ed sent me. Now I got to find what I have in PRR Rolling Stock.
Finally Got The Wiring To Where I could live with it on The PRR M1a. While the engine is old, around 10 years old now. It had not been a problem the head light wires where touching the flywheel. While I could not get it the way the photos Ed posted they are not touching.
Hope the PRR M1a will be dragging some freight Sunday with the N-5C Caboose in tow.
Trains are running well so later.

More and more cats. All of four cats.
I know JaBear's wilderbeast was going to jump right over there. I don't know if I'm big enough but I'm patient, I can pounce on him in the air.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Evening folks!

Well I've thoroughly processed my little soap opera drama, its actually pretty funny at this point!

Well I've got church in the morning and have gotta go to the club afterwards.
Night folks, hope you all got a laugh from that incident report.

Very funny! It took me a while to figure out why the lead truck derailed! Puts a whole new meaning on the term 'track cleaning'!
I hope the club shares your sense of humour.

Let's get back to Cats.
Lion I loved when you showed how you take care of your cats. You may be the best pet owner of North Dakota. I saw an air conditioner in your cat room and did not see one in your bedroom..... if you did have one. You deserve one. And let's just leave it at that.
Due respect and more cats for you, big cats that is.
Sorry first of all blue got a little bigger and a little cuter.
Sometimes, a lot of the time, we all get a little tired.
Hey I've got my pride but don't even think about coming up here where I am.
I don't know? I don't know what to say about this one. It just looks like the perfect Kitty to me.
Me and Junior came up with it, Nate (the "cause" of the derailment) will hopefully be there tomorrow, that's what we do at the club, were always razzing each other.
Also it's what happens when I get bored and Junior has been working with the Testors glue...
JUST KIDDING!
And no I haven't gone to bed yet.
TF that last cat is MY CAT, Mr. Walter, or Walt for short. He's the same color black, with some rust brown on his back and sides, and grey on his belly, and yellow eyes. He's a little bigger though.
Nice cats, guys. The Mrs and I lost our furry daughter about 10 days ago. We're still recovering from that. The pics help, especially little gray cats. Thanks.
I haven't been around because I keep getting locked out of the website. I feel like saying, "Jeez, guys, was my enthusiasm for the cover story about Elmira THAT annoying?!?" (BTW, he built a really nice model railroad, but to be a nitpicker, some of the names were misspelled on the map - - Steele Memorial Library and Seeley Creek, for two). The article has me rethinking plans I had for a layout built around either Binghamton or Owego. I'm thinking maybe I should do the Erie line through the middle of Elmira, which would allow me to include trackage rights by PRR, LV, and (starting in 1958) DL&W. The Erie viaducts through town are easy thanks to Rix Products. The only problem (besides time and money) is that building the Erie depot could be hard because the kit that best enables you to kitbash the depot seems to be discontinued.
Last, as a good Jaw-juh fan, I have to say "It's great to be a Gator hater!".
Honestly I'm not a man of cats I'm a man of many dogs I said goodbye to each and every one of them through life
I do feel your pain
Here's a story
I had a customer named Phil and he was a retired doctor Okay you get the rest Dr Phil
Phil always had me do stuff around his house remodeling projects whatever
Rastus was his cat
Rastus loved me and Phil knew it
Phil slept during the day Rastus kept me busy
God I loved that cat, because that cat loved me
Everything I did that cat was always there I swear to God that cat smiled at me more than once
Anyway I could tell you more stories about the time I was laying tile on the counter tops and Rastus came over and started playing scoochie scoochie with me
Let's just leave it at that I miss Dr Phil and I miss Rastus

Morning everyone!
Looks like there was a small cat-astrophy in here last night.
(Okay that's enough bad puns).
Man, I forgot how "set in our ways" people can get - the response over in electronics and DCC was definitely not what I expected.
Good morning .........
Ed ... I like the NYC advertising. It was great before Am-Trash when the railroads operated their own passenger trains and promoted them to the public.
Dan ... That is a funny cat pun .
Uncle Bob ... Good to see you in the Diner again, but sad you lost your cat.
We rescued each of our three cats from a different state.
