Since we are all listing our favorite passenger trains needing to be made in plastic, all get my ore in:

as long as we get the pretty blue engines L&N had for the Hummingbird and not that ugly grey that they decided to change to in the 50's for some stupid reason then that would be pretty sweet
Oh.. what about the PRR "General" Pullman cars, and the pre war view series cars
or, the PRR Congressional "Fleet of Modernism"
Heck, we wanna go deep...how about a commuter train consist. Undecorated coaches so you can make it whatever road you want it to be.

Walthers serioulsy needs to trim down the price for passenger cars, the company was never this way in the 2000's. It's completley ridculous to pay $100 for a passenger train. The Super Chief cars were around $20/30 dollars and I think that's much more reasonable!
20th Century Limited might sell pretty well. With either E7s or E8s on the head end.
I am partial because I am a modern era modeler, but how about a modern Amtrak consist? Capitol limited maybe? Or City of New Orleans?
If we have to go back... I wouldn't mind seeing a NW consist, since the Pennsy has been done to the moon and back. I'd say my fallen flag, but the PWV got out of the passenger business in the 1930s or 1920s.

The Southern RY is a good choice for a Passenger Streamliner. I love the "Crescent Limited" in the 1970's with four E8's on the head end and that PS Dome Car near the back of the train.
But, the question is, "Will it SELL?"
The Southern Crescent is what I say, they've already made most if not all the rolling stock for it (streamlined Budds with Southern lettering) and painting an E8 in Southern green can't be THAT hard for someone like Walthers.
The NCL here, too.
It's such an obvious one, the fact that it hasn't been done by now gets me thinking Walthers is in some sort of snit on the matter.

So, It's been almost 3 months since the current name train (60's C&O 'George Washington') from Walthers was announced, and there will be another one next month. I know I'm probably not the only one when I say this, but, I'm always excited to see what the next trainset will be. So, I want to take a crack at some theory crafting (woo), trying to guess what the next train will be.
Let's take a look at the past few trains:
Now, 3 SF trains and 3 East Coast trains (counting the George Washington) can mean one of two things; another Santa Fe "Chief" styled train or a warming up to the Streamliners of the East. Hmm... Let's see what they can do.
Well, what do you guys think? Some of these may not make sense, but they are only theories after all. Walthers may just announce the North Coast Limited or a rerun of the 20th Century Limited, but maybe they will do one of the trains I listed. One can only hope...
