I use IE (8 or 9?) and have had very few problems. However, just the other day I was on this forum and a big red pop-up occurred, saying something to the effect that the site I am on is an unsafe one. It also completely froze my computer, so I had to shut it down and start up again. What was up with that, I don't know. I have been reluctant to upgrade to Windows 10 for the same reasons stated in this thread, as well as some of the other not-so-good things discovered by others about that OS.

Slightly slower on Chrome than normal, impossible on Safari or Edge, I.E. Never worked right once I got 10.

I do not use Firefox, so can not speak as to it.

Safari and Firefox just take forever all of a sudden and so I switched to Chrome and it works very fast, as in as soon as I click the new page is up. I have given up posting to the diner as after typing up a few paragraphs and hitting submit, they vapourize. I guess Vinny knows I am typing in my underwear with no shirt on and won't let me in.Laugh

Try Chrome, it sure works great for me and my gettin old Mac.

I’m using Firefox Ver 47.0 with Adblock Plus 2.7.3 on a HP 3500 running Windows 10 Pro Version 1511 Build 10568.318 with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes for security.

I have never had a problem on this Forum.

Similar problems here.  I had chalked it up to switching to Windows 10 since it seemed to coincide.

Same problems here with Firefox. To access this forum I must use Edge. With Edge there is no script problem, however it is awfully slow.

I have similar problems using Firefox, but only on this site.  It's even worse if I want to reply to a thread, as it can sometimes take up to an hour, and I've had several instances where everything simply froze and I had to shut down the computer.  Other sites work as they normally do, with no difficulties.  My computer is somewhat dated, and I suspect that the revised MR site doesn't play very well with XP.  Stick out tongue

I'm currently using a Mac, and am experiencing no difficulties.

I have the same problem, but fortunately I don´t get the script error. I have installed a software deleting all cookies and trackers when I leave a page. This software shows me it deletes cookies and trackers from up to 40 (!) pages - each time I leave a MR forum page. Incredible!

I am having similar issues, using AVG as my anti-virus.

MR Forum Issues...?
Posted by BroadwayLion on Thursday, June 9, 2016 8:57 AM

Lately, while using the forum I have been getting errors and hang-ups with notices about a Script Error.
I think this clearly has something to do with 3rd party advertisers, and I have written to customer service, though I do not expect them to get back to me right away.
The status bar on my Firefox browser shows activity after activity, trying to load site after site, and then crashes with a Script Error.
Are other people experiencing this, or must I look deeper into my own equipment.
Thanks, the LION.
