Mornin' everyone!

Zoe....  What?  Yes I'm up a bit early for me this morning.  I'll have the #2 speacial, over easy eggs, bacon, home fries and a double order of sour dought toast this morning.

Woke up an hour ago and decided it would be a good idea not to roll over and take a nap.  Tomorrow I have to be at the Museum by 6:30AM for crew call.  That means I have to leave my house by 5:30 or a few minutes after.  So I will set the alarm for 4:40 and hope I don't fall back asleep.  We have an early morning Media Event going on.  A live broadcast event, I think....

Galaxy, I try to live by this one: "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.  - Mahatma Gandhi

Bear, sorry to hear about your friend.  Chloe, a glass of Finger Lakes Riesling for me to toast Alan!

Ulrich, do wait another day to stress your hand again, and evn then do a few shingles and rest....  Your buildings are looking great, BTW!

I, too forgot that yesterday was Canada Day!  So, to all my friends up North of the Border, have a great day after Canada Day and hope you had a fine and safe day yesterday!

I hope to get some much needed gardening done today.  Currently 79°F here in the Finger Lakes with an expected high of 86°.  There may be some showers and thunderboomers in store for us as well.

Catch you all later!

As for me, more of the same as usual. Movies, games, games, movies with a bit of chance and the unforeseen thrown in for good measure.

Jeff - that pretty much sums up what I have been doing the past few days. Gets a bit boring, though. I wish I could do more, like finding a place Petra and I could move to, but this would involve the dearest we are lacking - money!

I am not sure what to do with the layout. I will continue to scratchbuild structures, but other than that, I´d like to take it down and build something I could put in our car and run away...

Bear - sorry to hear about your friend´s passing!

Well

I went to Wally WOrld for jsuta few things, and while I DID buy a new pair of shoes for myself at $25, and a new electronic humidistat {?} at $8.99, I still managed to spend $100. I guess the two new pair of slippers one for each of us at $13 each did it {?}. Don't know how/why it is that I always manage to spend $100 or more even for "just a few items" in that store. I try to stay away jsut for thtat reason.

Then, I went to the grocery store, that is getting expensinve, only half a cart and $136 spent. My oh my, I am dreading going to the grocery store anymore. At last I get gas cents off for spending there!

well,  a nap and then some laundry, i already finished off the lefotver dishes.

Then I talk to my insurance agent. you know, I the last time i was ever in an accident {again NOT my fault} was in 1990? Don't but vaguely know all the steps. Plus my agetn is selling/sold hs office to another guy so he is back at this "home office". I have to find out how I transfer to his home office to keep him. I am an old creature of habit, I try to stick with people I know to deal with and who know me. Apparently MOH and I are quite the memorable couple!

Good Morning!!!

Coffee and an order of biscuits and gravy with a couple scrambled eggs tossed on top please. Thank you.

Hope all our friends to the North had a happy Canada Day!!

Bear- Sorry to hear about your friend.

Today is a LOT cooler with a high of like only 69 so it’s almost long sleeve weather. I have to mow the yard once the dew burns off and then a couple more outsidey things before w*rk tonight. I w*rk everynight because the owners are on vacation and my normal days off, the daughter is w*rking and I’m there to “help” her. Actually, I think he just wants me there because he doesn’t want her there by herself. She’s 31 years old, married with three kids….I think she’l be ok. He still treats her like she’s 17, probably because she still LOOKs like she’s 17. Oh well, if he wants to pay me to keep her company, I guess I’ll do it. He’s the boss. Doesn’t bother me any, she’s friendly and we’re friends too so we get along good.  We laugh about it. The days I w*rk normally, the son w*rks up front normally, so there is no need for me to be up front. They’re closed on the 4th and he (the son) w*rks Sunday so I do get those two days off.

Welp, best check the yard for wetness and hopefully get some stuff done.

Ya’ll have a good day, ya hear!!!!

Whistling

Hi Ya All,

Thanks for all the kind wishes for a Happy Canada Day, and it was. All had a very good time.

Chole, I'll have a double RBF in an IV bag, please.

BEAR,   Sorry about your Buddy,  we all have an appointed time and I guess this morning was his.  Just remeber the good times in fond memories and be glad that you had shared those times together.

Just on my way out to mow the back lawn as it has finally dried enough to get on it.  Boy did we have the rain here. There are over 50 communities in the Province that have declared emergency situations. Some have even evacuated hospitals and nursing homes. Even the Trans-Canada Hwy s washed out about 60 miles east of the city, creating about a 100 mile detour (additional) for truck traffic and anyone travelling through the Province.

No news from the LM&E lately, hope to get down there later today, if only to run a train or two.  Oh, I did order the second set of WP, four bay hoppers from Walthers so now I have all 12 road numbers. I also have the MOW set and the set of three two bay hoppers all WP., and a three car set of four bay hopper of the DRG&W and a few singles as well, so I think my hopper buying days have come to a close.

Hope this finds you all well or at least coping well with what this period of time is handing us.

If I don't get in again before the Forth, I hope all south of the 49th have a great Independance day..    If you drink, don't drive  or go boating.  We want you here on the fifth as well.

Johnboy out......................................still can't swallow and the smells of B-B-Q around the neighborhood is driving me nuts..

Afternoon guys

Warm out and at the moment under a severe thunderstomr watch

I got my new work shoes this morning. I cant believe how light they make safty boots/shoes nowadays. I think they use a composite toe instead of steel in alot of cases.

I went to do a load of wash ealier and all the LEDs starting blinking at me?? I filled it up and it locked the lid ( which is normal ) I tired to "pause" the cycle and it wouldnt unlock or stop blinking. I did what you seem to have to do with electronic/appliences these days, I unplug and plugged it back in,lol seems to work as I did another load just fine. Its a brand new washing machine, maybe 3 months old. I guess if there was to be a problme with it I want it now in the warranry period.

I have broken my summer rule about working on the layout and have been doing just that. I have a couple buildings on the go and did some paining before. I did a dumb thing and spray painted a couple things inside. I had the window open and a small fan sucking the umes and dust out. Still I wouldnt recomend spray painting indoors without prope ventilation. I would love someday to have a proper spray booth and not using a plastic tote to spray into with a fan sucking outside.

Back to the bench, I do have a nice sized bench though which is nice. I will post pics later but for now back to working on the railroad ( and dodging storms )

Canada Day weekend was spent driving, driving driving. The weather was horrable on Friday, Sat and Sunday then it got better Monday with Tuesday being a really nice day. We sent the storm east to Johnny Boy because we like to share.

Still no news on getting my Fire Bird back from the body shop. Guess they can only work as hard as they can but now with a week of super beautiful weather ahead I'm feeling sorry for myself not having it.

Today is warm and WINDY. Drying everything out but that is a good thing because things need to be dried out. Crops need some heat and sun now.

This weekend what with all the driving I did, I've decided the new Santa Fe is a really nice crusing car. Getting used to some of the weird Asian things they do so I'm not looking for things in all the wrong places. Finally sorted out the Sirrus Radio so that I can get it working. AM/FM not so much. Think I'll go see my sales person and get a refresher course on some of the stuff.

Have to mow the hay field today too but not till evening. Way too hot out there for this old man.

Later folks.

It's been a couple of tough days for the Class 1 railroads around here. Yesterday, a CSX train up in the McKeesport, PA area had an engine catch fire & burn pretty good. From the tv news, it looked like it's just scrap now. The bright side for CSX is that it was a BNSF engine. Today it was Norfolk Southern's turn. They had an empty ethanol unit train run into the back of another freight (possibly an intermodal) in Sewickley, PA. Actually, it's about 2 miles, give or take, from where we railfan most often. This time a NS engine is on it's side. The 2 trailing engines, which happen to be Union Pacific, are on the ground. Again, from the videos on tv news, the NS engine caught fire. There were evacuations of the surrounding area. But everyone has been allowed to return to their homes or business.

Wow... is our house dirty. They are installing new interior doors and the dust is beyond description. It's a very old house, so there is quite a build up in the walls, including coal dust. The wife is a little upset, but there isn't anything that can be done about it. After the doors are done, the new windows will follow. After they finish, we will start cleaning, including getting someone to clean the carpets.

The wife want's me to grill some things on the 4th. Boy, I hope it's cooler then it has been around here lately. I admit that grilling is not one of my favorite past times. I really don't know how to cook. But, I try. Hoping everyone is haveing a good week...

Evening guys,

Tom: Rail accidents are scary to read about. I live about 2 minutes from CN's busy mainline and its kind of scary to think that if there was ever a accident of any sort I would for sure be evacuated. People in town try to kick up a stink in the fall about the dangerous chemicals that are rolling through town every day after the horrific disaster in Lac-Megantic last year wanting to find ways to keep freight trains from coming through the city. I remember doing some railfanning a couple years ago when a freight went into a emergency after a air line blew, you could hear air hissing as it went by. It was just a horrible sound to hear steel ground to a stop so fast. The creaking lasted for long after the train had come to a complete stop. That was back when the hobby shop was in the station. That was the only time I have seen a train go into a emergency stop.

I've seen that happen several times. Usually because of a broken coupler. Like you said, scary.

Not too long ago I was by the CP mainline in Toronto, ON and I heard lots of screatching from a tank train.  I did not hear any air let off but I think I was too far to hear it anyway.  The train came to a stop and waited.  When it started up after it made screetching noises again and came to a stop again.

Do you guys think it went into emergency brake a couple times?

Sounds like there may have been a issue, wheel issue maybe? Trains even when just slowing snd stopping make a racquet. And when they go to move the slack being run out makes alot of noise as well. You will know a emrgecy at normal speeds. Because it just stops so fast. A fellas I sub to on youtube has a video I will try to find. Hre is the link

Yep, at 5mph or so the train will stop real fast!!!  I've been on board the train out at the Museum a couple times when the emergency came on.  That is why you always maintain three points of contact riding on (and in) train equipment.  One time the conductor was showing a kid how the emergency lever has a little whistle on it.  He Taped it a couple times and told her she could try it.  She holds it down and dumped the air...  Whump!  Another time we had a coupler pin that hadn't gone in place correctly and we didn't notice.  Got half way to Midway station when she uncpoupled.  Again, at 10 miles an hour the train just stops on a dime.  Major jolt.  (There was about 50' between the two halves of the train when everything stopped.  My half was still being pulled by the locomotive and it took the engineer a couple seconds to kill the power.)  Lucky I was holding on well.  I closed the valve on the now uncoupled end of my car and we brought the two halves of the train close to being coupled and waited for a maintenance crew to come up the line and certify that all was well and we could recouple and make the runs for the day.  Scarry!  I also got some some extra practice setting hand brakes on that one!  BTW we do 3 brake tests every morning before we leave the yard.  1. the brakes on the loco.  2. the regular train brakes.  3. an air dump test for the emergency brakes...

I need to head out to bed very soon.  Will be up by 4:40 and on the road to the museum around 5:30.  Crew call is at 6:30 for an early morning media run.  There will be few clips on the 6PM news, Rochester WHAM channel 13.  After we get done the crew may go out to breakfast together.

Don't expect me to in un til sometime tomorrow afternoon when I'll tel ya all about it...

Good evening. A pleasant 74° here. Humidity is a tad high at 87%. Been hearing thunderboomers all evening but not so much as a drop of rain here. Weather guesser is calling for 30% tonight and 50% tomorrow.

Got the wound vac dressing changed then went online to Camping World and ordered a twenty-eight foot cover for my fathers new RV. Less than $200 so he figures he got a good deal on it. I watched a movie and a few Knight Rider shows. Took one of my computers out of the closet while looking for something and finally took the time to read something on the side of it. Looks like it came from a school named after Walt Disney. I remember it was a wreck when I got it and I rebuilt it. There's nothing special about. Just an old early model IIe with a Plain Jane 6502 processor.

The disk drive I bought for less than $30 yesterday is on it's way here from Connecticut. Estimated delivery date is July ninth.

Tomorrows gonna be a bit busy. Gotta be at a doc appointment in town at 9am then it's on to the loan office to make a payment on my loan there then to Wal-Mart to do the grocery shopping. I should have $130 to play with and I'll still have $30 to get some gas.

That's it for today. See y'all tomorrow.

Good Morning!

My hand is much better, so I will go back to putting a few rows of shingles onto the roof of the engine house. Promise I won´t overdo this time - just 2 or three rows. I don´t have enough shingles for more, and I kind of shun away from cutting more shingles, as this was most likely the cause for my suffering.

Today´s mail brought my order of lumber. I now have sufficient stuff on hand for quite a few buildings, including making my own windows. This will take me well through Summer and maybe even deep into Fall.

I am not really happy with the layout. There are a few spots where it´s giving me a headache. Though no derailments, there is a spot where the car uncouples. Now this maybe the car (I only have one), but it could be the track, as well. Adding to that, I was way too generous with the ballast. I wish I could do it all over again, but I am afraid if a take it down, I will lose a lot of track. If I should decide to take it down, I want to salvage the wharf bit in any case, as I want to stick to the theme. If I redo the layout, I will give up the wye, leaving more room for Petra to move. And I will definitively hand-lay my track! Instead of the wye, I´d go for a small turntable...

Anyway, befor e I take that decision, I´ll continue with my buildings!

Have a great day!

Good morning!  Since tomorrow is a holiday, it's a "virtual Friday" here.  It's going to be another hot one before the front comes through, so I'm just fine with being in the air conditioned office at work.  We've actually got real problems with real data to look at, so I've been having fun the last couple of days.

The Boston Pops has a traditional Fourth of July concert outdoors by the river, with fireworks at the end.  It draws hundreds of thousands of people, sometimes close to half a million.  This year, with the issue of Hurricane Arthur off the coast, they made the wise decision to re-schedule and avoid the rain.  Unfortunately, they moved it to tonight (Thursday) when the forecast is for ... rain.  They could have chosen Saturday or even Sunday, after the weather passes, the rain moves out to sea and the temperature is 15 or 20 degrees more pleasant, but no, they're doing it when it's 90 degrees and humid with a threat of thunderstorms.  Besides that, it's still a work day and they will be closing off major roads in Boston at the same time as evening rush hour.

Ulrich, I recently completed my Railway Express depot.  It has roof shingles, the kind that come on a sheet of paper that you cut apart and glue on one row at a time.  I found this a tedious job.  What I ended up doing was only putting on one or two rows of shingles at a time.  This gave the glue a chance to set properly before another layer was applied on top, and let me escape before it drove me crazy.  Sure, it took longer, but I've always got other projects going in parallel anyway.

 Morning Dinneers

 Flo, Coffee pleases.

Did not stop by last night, had a lot of paper work to do for Sue's SSI. Computer was moving pretty slow for some reason.

Bear Sorry as well to hear about your train friend.

Work Front Day went by fast, had around 11 customer come in and the store did little over $4,000.00. Yes That should put a Big Smile on Marvins faces today. Personally I had $3,000.00 and should have made a extra $150.00.

Jeremy While I am trying to talk my self out of the grill it does look nice in the ad. I am going to take a look at it today before work.

 See you all later, Ken

Afternoon!

Did only 1 row of shingles so far, but that will be all for the day. I am not really in the mood to do more. Too many things in my head keep me from concentrating on MRRing.

Mr. B. - the glue I use sets pretty fast. When I have glued down the last shingle, I could theoretically start a new row. Well, this time, it seems to be 1 row at a time ...

Ken, when Penny and I got married, a bunch of my old college friends got together and bought us a nice gas grill.  Without a doubt, it was the best of all the wedding gifts, and it lasted close to 20 years.  I replaced a few burners and grids, but I kept it cooking until the wood frame finally gave up the same time as the metal parts started rusting out.

I replaced it with a Webber with an aluminum frame.  It's a simple, basic one.  I've got a stove in the kitchen, so I don't need burners for pots or USB ports or any of the fancy doo-dads that drive the price up.

To me, a grill is a necessity.  Even here in New England, I use it all year long.

Mr. B and Ulrich: applying shingles 1:1 is a tedious job also, why should modeling be any different? LOL

Well, I have to go to El Doctoro today. I have  a $200 deductable on the PIP, so I will have to fork that over I guess, according to my agent, no other way around it. MY Agent wants me to call him when the Dr is done to talk to the Dr.  to decide how to proceed. {?!}. I won't be out the deductible on the repairs, though. And I will have to pay the extra fee for the extra driver on the rental. The check for towing reimbursement is on its way, accroding to my agent.

I hopefully {?} today will have Ezmeralda back today {my van's name}. But I don't want a rush job just to make it so. I can wiat with the rental until monday next.

Boy, I will tell you, I will be glad to have back my 3.8L v-6, as the 2.4L I-4 the rental has sucks on exceleration, has a lag and zero pickup and go! Only marginally {as in barely recognizable} better with the A/C off!

We shall see what we shall see, when we shall see it!

Just ran afew trains down the track. For whatever reason, that car did not uncouple this time. I guess I need to be more patient - also with myself!

I also shot a few pics - here is the one I like the best:

Good afternoon. It's 85° with 61% humidity. For here that's almost dry. Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be 92°.
 with

Got the doc appointment out of the way. Got a good report about the lab work last month. Got an appointment on the ninth to have an ultrasound done to see what my gall stones are up to.

Got eight new snap mouse traps for my fathers place and made my loan payment for this month. Last but not least got grocery shopping done. Got plenty of money left for gas.

No plans for today. Just lay back and watch some movies and maybe play a computer game or two.

Going to be a real scorcher here at least by our standards. Highs predicted in the mid 80's. Way too hot for this old fella but I'll take it. The nice thing about here is that it cools down at night pretty good so a person can sleep. We do have a portable air conditionior for the bed room but it usually only gets used half a dozen times a year.

Waiting for word on when my car will be ready. Soon I hope what with all this top down weather.

Cut the lawn this am before it got too hot. Still need to get the hedge trimmers out but it's going to way for a few days till we get a bit of a cooldown.

My BIL who has Alsheimers is suddeny experiencing some bad brain stuff so we are kind of worried about that. Can't decide if the deterioation is a bad thing or if it's a good thing if you know what I mean. Stupid desease just drags on and on. His wife is greiving his loss as if he were already gone which he has mentally but he's still here. I feel so sorry for her.

On the MIL front, the old gal is still hanging in there. Slowly going down hill as the cancer eats away at her but still in very little pain which is a good thing. We have no idea how long this is going to go on.

It's all a waiting game.

On a more pleasant subject, after reading the article about wood rocks in the Model RR August edition I ran out and found some bark. Sounds like a great idea. The stuff I found is perfect and is currently drying in the sun. I'll get some more next time I'm down in the escarpment area. Lots of it around and best of all it's FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to think about how to treat it for bugs/fungus/mold before I use it though. One of the fungaside/mold solutions from the Home Depot might work.... well see.

Have a good one

After LightningUmbrella moved through, it has cooled down to 70F.

I can't seem to win for losing over this "love tap" I got last week.

1} The Doctor says that since my "pre-existing back condition was "under control with treatment", then this "exacerbation" is due to the accident". Turns out when My agent talked to the good Doctor, that they know each other professionally too. That can be good as then my agent knows it NOT some back-alley creepy doctor who will say anything for a kick-back paying client.{My agent requested I call him when at the Doctor's to talk to the Doctor}. Now on check out they SAId I owed nothing, BUT I have a $200 deductible that My AGent said I would have to pay. Where/ when I'd like to know? Then on to the pharacy, as Doctor gave me a script to fill for a pill I never thought of as a muscle relaxer to take instead of  the muscle relaxer I currently have. Its one of those "good pills". I don't know that it is doing any much good, but sure knocks me out! I did not even hear MOH come in, make noise and do stuff while I was sleeping in the BR. I didn't even hear the phone ring and I had one right next to me at bedside.

2} The {stupid{?}} collision repair place calls my cell while I am out: " Your Sedona is done," he says, Then says "the  inusurance comapny {the perpetrator's}says htey MAILED THE CHECK TO YOU, and you {I} Have to come up with a way to pay the body shop for to get it back!" NOW, mind you,  I SIgned the papers for the ins. comp. to PAY THE body shop directly! I have NOT gotten the SUpposed "check in the mail" yet! WANNA BET it ISN'T for the correct TOTAL amount of repairs?

3} I was out on that cell call, Then I get home and find message from the body shop" your van is NOT done as we ordered the wrong bracket for the bumper guard according to what State Farm {his insurance} notated, and it is the worng one".... NOW WAIT a Cotton picken' minute! I was TOLD the van WAS DONE...apparently NOT? No it is not "well we were putting ti back together when he called you"...GEEZE! They are supposed to call when DONE not "nearly done"!1 Now it could be next Tuesday before it is done for real? And actually "put together"? SO I have the rental for the weekend too, WANNA BET the inusrance company fights it because they only allow for "reasonable repair time", Not "actual time it takes for their Ins,. company adjusters GOOF UP to get fixed RIGHT"!!!

4} Their ins company called to talk to me left message on machine while i was out. Bet they want me to say "I'm OK".

5} WHile i was down asleep on the med and "dead to the world", my ins. called apparently, so I missed it {didn't hear the phone at all}. They want to know if I am alright MOH said. well, not really, or I wouldn't have gone to the Doctor, DUH!

6} the pharmacy called and I have a mound papers to pick up to fill out/sign for the no-fault insurance. They had mis-billed my health insurance though I told the pharmacist/check in that it was for the car accident. The script isn't even that expensive! It s just an older condtrolled substance, is all...cheap by comparison, so the insurance is getting off cheap!

7} MY insurance agent says I will now "get a mound of paperwork in the mail to fill out and sign" now cause the no-fault claim has opened up.

8} my friend who has been through it with accidents and injuries, says I should call a lawyer! He thinks I should "get millions of dollars"..he was jesting I hope. he says call one of tfhe "accident lawyers on TV". Yeah RIGHT.

9} Have to figure out a way to pay body shop. I could charge it up on and fill up a  card, which I guess I will have to do as if I pay it outright I use up all money we have, and if they don't reimburse in a "timely fashion" {that is I get the supposed check} I don;t be out all that money..a grand is a grand and more than I have at my disposal for such things. I have until Tuesday to figure that all out I guess. Makes me nervous! That Why I signed for the money to go directly to the body shop!

10} wana BET their insurance Adjustor put down the WORNG bracket number cause the WRONG bracket number is the CHEAPER bracket??/ BUt what I don't get it that WHY the body shop didn't notice it until now? DOn't they/haven't they ever repaired a 06 Kia SEdona before {it is the Kia dealer's body shop!}???

GRR.

I don't like paperwork and I don't like nosey-busy-bodies, and that is what they are paid to do.

Would be better to have nto had such a thing happen.

Evenin' folks!

Janie, I'll have a refill for my deacf if you please.

Been a cool day around these parts, at least compared to the last few days.  Currently 71°F with a loow overnight of 59°F.  Had a few rain showers today contrasted with a equal number of bright sunny moments.

I think I may have had a better day than Galaxy today.  The old Hee Haw song that has the line "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...." keeps coming to mind.  I do hope it all works out well in the end for you, Galaxy.  I had a couple more seconds of fame this morning.  This time on live TV at the Rochester Faux News station.  Out on a train ride at the museum.  The reporter had never ridden on a caboose before and keep saying, This is SO cool!!! all the way down to the R&GV RR Museum (notice that Faux news thought it was all the other museum even though our name is mentioned a couple times in this clip.  That clip was at the R&GV RR Museum in Rush, not the NYMT in Henrietta.....)  You probably recognized the old guy with the beard in the first clip.....

Got home just in time to have the pet sitter whom I hire to give Blackie his pills pull in the driveway right after me...  She got waylayed at a couple of the homes where she has to walk dogs first...  I figured she would be at my house not to long before I might get home, but...  She came in, gave Blackie his pills, brushed and gave the boys a lot of attention.  They, of course were both pleased and surprised to she her and came right over to get there bellies rubbed and their coats combed by her.  She gave them both a bit of catnip which she brings so both cats have been "sleeping it off" most of the afternoon.  After a quick lunch I went over to my son's house to clean his kitties litter box.

Oh, I was out of bed at 4:35AM this morning and in the PiP on my way to the museum at 5:40 so I could arrive for crew call by 6:30.  Lucky everything worked right the first time on the train and we arrived up at Midway to wait for the trolley bringing the Newsgirl and the cameraman for the live feed at the trains.  We had to take the train down the tracks and around the curve while the cameraman made that shot.  We then came back up the track so he could get on board.  After the interview at the Museum (second clip) The Museum manager and the News reporter decided to get on the Erie Caboose (red one).  Just the two of them....... Whistling  They even climbed up into the Cupolla.... Just the two of them.... Smile, Wink & Grin  The rest of the crew and the cameraman stayed in the PC caboose.....   But I'll never tell!  Actually the engineer was in the cab of the 80 tonner....

ChooChoo Dennis, to get rid of critters on the bark (bugs, etc) put it in a old pan in your oven at the lowest setting for about 45 minutes.  That may take care of the mold as well.

Tomorrow I plan to spend the 4th. doing yard work and doing some hobby stuff for a change.  Same thing on Saturday.

Later!

Evening all, I am so glad I have tomorrow and Saturday off-today was busy. I think I am going to cave, and buy about 3 hoppers from bowser-the Wheeling ones.  It's at least 70ish outside butreally muggy.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway.  As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).

Same here. Low 70's with humidity in mid 80's range. Take a walk outside and come back in feeling wet.
