On my freelamced Bunker Hill & Eastern, the owners had a program to upgrade the looks of their boxcars. The "traditional" brown boxcar is on the upper right. After WW II, managment decided the fleet needed a better look, and boxcars were painted blue but kept the original lettering. IN the early 50s, an experimental color scheme was tried changing the font from Roman to Gothic, the door painted white, and a BHE logo replacing the name spelled out

Well, here's my logo for the AustinVille & Dynamite City RR. I also have a picture of all the "family" Logos I designed for the AustinVille area. Remind me share it at some point. I created a whole history for it, ending in the modern era with two railroads....Penndot Railway (Commuter/Regional passenger), and the Southwestern Pennsylvania Transportation Corp (Freight service). The AV&DC has one single 2-8-0 consolidation that does passenger service, and another old locomotive used for freight service to the PRR transfer yard in Austinville.
I just actually designed it last night.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
I have been working on a name for my RR for a few years. I was going to go with an updated version of a fallen flag but found that there is a newer railroad by the same name (Allegheny Valley). So have have freelanced a new name and have been working on a logo. Here it is:

A close second is running steam, and a third is designing new fictional paintschemes. Show me an original livery you designed, or a model railroader designed.

I found this Tichy tank car difficult because of the many small plactic parts that kept breaking. I ended up replacing some with brass wire just so that I could handle it without busting something else.
