These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
No mail boxes? Ok, it's anybody's game...
Jethro has to take those barrels out of his truck to make room for the two bicyles he has to pick up from Sears on Christmas Eve. Then the hard part...., get them up those steps to the house.

A green box car coming up:
This Northern Pacific Railway 40-foot grain box car is one of a group of similar Athearn BB kits I purchased and assembled in 2005. The only addition I made was the installation of Kadee couplers.
Show me a blue box car.
This outside braced Seaboard Air Line boxcar is 50 to 60 years old. The body is cast metal and the floor is wood. It probably is a Roundhouse kit. After replacing the trucks which were work out and converting to Kadee couplers, we still run this car on teh Boothbay Railway Village layout

jacon12Show me more of your oldest equipment and tell me it's age.
This is the very first model train item that brought me back into the hobby in February 1988, almost 26 years ago: a Front Range Phase III GP9. I was so excited to see somebody finally manufacturing an HO geep with a scale-width hood. It's still in active duty, reserved for my younger and/or more "impulsive" guest operators!
Show me the oldest piece of rolling stock that is still in service on your layout or club

No tropical scene per se, but plenty of a plant imported from southeast 'tropical' Asia into the South to... err, uhh.. control erosion. " Kudzu is a group of plants in the genus Pueraria, in the pea family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae. They are climbing, coiling, and trailing vines native to much of eastern Asia, southeast Asia, and some Pacific Islands." seen here on an old abandoned house..
