That's really sad news, indeed.  Here's hoping Jeffrey has a speedy recovery.

Jeffrey, of course, is well known to most of you, and I suspect many already know he has long suffered from diabetes. Many also know he was scheduled for surgery today.

Jeff's Dad called me a short while ago. Jeff's leg was amputated below the knee, and the surgery went as well as can be expected. He may be in the hospital for a week or so. Next, he will be at his Dad's residence for maybe about six weeks. I was able to talk very briefly with Jeff on the phone. He, of course, is drugged now, but he certainly appreciates everyone's concern.

If anyone wishes to post Get Well wishes in this thread, I will gladly relay them to Jeff.

Meanwhile, Jeff's Sundown Shops are closed, and no new "Frankendiesels" are currently in production. His Midland Gulf Railway and his Louisana and Arkansas have temporarily suspended operations. His creativity is quite remarkable, and I look forward to the day when he will return to the forum.

Praying for Jeff's health and a swift recovery from surgery. Angel
