"Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly."
Hoping you get back to the rails soon Jeffery and God bless. Maybe you will have time to think up a small operational layout for a hospital bed. At least weather a freight car in between nurses bothering you.
Heal fast Jeffrey and be well.
Lou

Thanks, Garry.
For those unfamiliar with the situation, the amputation was planned. His diabetes has left it weak and uncomfortable, and he feels he will be more comfortable and more mobile once he has a prosthesis fitted.
So, let's wish him well through this "transition era" and continue to hope for a brighter future.

Hello Jeffery, our prayers and wishes are with you for a speedy recovery!
Thanks for checking on Jeffrey and conveying our best wishes for a quick and issue-free recovery from such a life-altering operation. I have well-controlled Type II diabetes, so thank my lucky stars it is amenable to medication. Others are not so lucky. If you're middle-aged, you should check with your doctor on where your blood-sugar numbers are.
I'm certain Jeffrey will find all the tractive effort he needs to overcome this.
[BTW, has anyone ever noticed our smilies have cars and planes, but no trains?!? ]
