I add my thanks for the news update, Garry, and my very best and warm wishes for Jeffrey to be back on the forum soon and feeling a lot better.  It can't be easy for Jeff or his parents at this time.  Jeff guards his independence fiercely, so this is a bit of a setback.  Let's hope for everyone's sake that it is temporary.

Garry,

As "keeper of the flame" over in the diner thread for special  thoughts and prayers, I put up TWO prayer candles extra for Jeffrey since he went for his pre-op exams.

The power of prayer, Is, Indeed, GREAT, even if you are a non-believer in a god diety. The superior universe energy fields often feel and direct prayer energies where needed.

I hope jeffrey is ultimately happy with his decision as I know that mangled foot for the "Charcot condition" has plagued him for years. Surgery decisions are never easy, and the results are often well worth the effort to imporve a bad situation.

JEFFREY- HAVE A GREAT RECOVERY!!!

I could use a little help with my promise to Jeffrey to pass the word on to others. He provided a list of forums for me to post the news of his surgery. I am able to join and post in all but one.

In the Big Blue Trains forum, I followed instructions to create an account. After submitting a name and password, I was to receive and email which would allow my new account to be activated. I never received the email, and I see no contact information. Therefore, I did not post Jeffrey's news in that forum.

I see tow familiar names, brakie and doctorwayne. Therefore, if either of you would like to help, it will be appreciated. You can contact somebody there to help me get in. I was using the name, "GarryCBQ". Otherwise, please post the news yourselves, and let me know of any Get Well wishes posted there.

....................................................................

All of the posts expressing concern and Get Well wishes as well as those with prayers certainly is an indication of the outstanding character typical with model railroaders.

It is the people who make model railroading the World's Greatest Hobby.

I will relay all messages to Jeff as soon as possible. I'm sure he will appreciate each one.

Happy Model Railroading!

I'm very pleased to report, I just spoke with Jeff. He is very updbeat, and he says he may be leaving the hospital as early as this Friday. He is resting comfortably without any unexpected complications.

I told him about the many posts with Get Well wishes. He is very thankful to each one of you. I read a handful of the messages, but only a small sample of them.

Sounds like he can get on the internet at his Dad's house where he will be staying after leaving the hospital for a few weeks. I told him he should borrow a laptop (computer not the other kind) from one of the nurses he flirts with.

Jeff has a lot of very good friends.

Crandell ....... Thanks for passing the news to the big blue trains forum.

Jeff I know you've been dealing with this for some time, It must have been a tough decision, but I feel it is the best choice. A friend had a knee replacement gone horribly wrong and after many surgeries did opt to loose the leg. gets around on the prosthesis so much better and only discomfort instead of the excruciating pain. He was worried about the pain meds destroying the liver. I wish the best for you, amd a speedy recovery/
