You forgot to mention what we should show you!

Dave

Does this fit in as an odd ball?  It's still in the works, how about an SD40-2T shell, cut down to fit an SD40-2 frame, with a wide cab:

De Luxe
It was the last Central Pacific steam locomotive that received a name. After it they all only had numbers but no names anymore.

The good old Mastadon class, if one can call a single locomotive a class.   Which by coincidence, Mastadon was the name of the Central Pacific's first 4-8-0.

De Luxe, your photo... while interesting, doesn't qualify.  It needs to be from your layout or your clubs layout, and since you didn't make a request I guess we're still looking for the last request.

Great looking model though.  Smile

I would KILL for this model! I know the prototype was a failure, but who cares! It would look GREAT in HO! And just imagine a woodburner sound and smoke to it...amazing!

I think no manufacturer has ever made a model of it yet. The model in the photo is a unique model built for the State of California Railroad Museum. By the way interesting info I just read: it was the last Central Pacific steam locomotive that received a name. After it they all only had numbers but no names anymore.

Is this oddball enough? The only Alco C430 with AAR trucks to ever wear Conrail blue?

They only had 2 with these trucks, and the other former Reading unit only got a patch job.

Let's see some more oddball or rare engines!

Karl

Sorry Texas Zepher, but using page 2 as an excuse, will a waterfall do?? From one of the late Hans Hubners' modules.

How about showing your model railroad No:1 ??  Edit: unless   comes up with a suggestion.

Cheers, the Bear.

Well, it's been over 2 hours so it looks like no one is ready to scrap a loco today.

Below is an old picture of a loco headed TO a scrap yard  Big Smile with "a thing" in tow. Shortly after I got the camera I used this setup to take some videos.

I can only the describe it as a Thing... this... this tunnel thing!  Back when I started my present layout I made a temporary tunnel from pieces of scrap lumber.  I hope I've improved my scenery skills since then... Big Smile

Show me another thing on your layout.
