Time for me to call it a night. I was digging around in the closet today and found my old 0-6-0 rust bucket. What a beautiful wreck it is. See y'all tomorrow.

Good Morning!! Coffee and the Sunday Breakfast buffet please. Thanks

Sunny, with a high near 57. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 17 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph.

Chuck- Welcome back! Sorry to hear about the stroke, but glad you’re improving.

Ray- I think a picture or two in that link loaded kinda S.L.O.W..Yes

Garry- Sorry for the loss of your friend.

Oh forgot to tell you, I got my tires yesterday. No package so I have no idea who made them, but they are HO slot car tires. Haven’t made it down to the train room to see how close they are to train HO scale. I guess slot car HO is the same, but I don’t know. Some say Hot Wheels is HO scale. Either way they look cool.

Made the bookshelf front last night and the glue is drying. I can take the clamps off now and will probably w**k on that some more before the weekly trip to the Chinese Buffet so ai can do what Ray did without the walking around part.

Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!

Good morning,  Diners.  Chloe, I will have my coffee this morning with a large cinnamon roll.

Chuck,  I thought that it was awful quiet in your neck of the woods.  Keep pushing and healing.  Sorry about the setback.  Glad to have you back.

Curt, You did more track ripping than I expected. I can't wait to see the end result.  Are your intentions to have the layout better for operations?

Terry,  When I see that roller coaster road, I expect to see air under that car?Laugh

Ulrich,  I will bet that Petra likes the layout on the shelves.  It looks great.

I got started on siding the car shop late yesterday.  It will go much faster now that I am in the groove.  We cut up the big birch in the front yard that went down in the ice/snow/power outage storm in January.  I can't believe how much wood was in that tree.  Birch is also heavy.  It felt pond dried.Laugh

Later,  Sue

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.

Good morning. It's 44° and sunny. The high will be 68° and it'll be partly cloudy.

Nothing in particular planned for today. I'll go to my parents place later and see if anything of interest has arrived in the mail. The layout can stand some more cleaning up. I took my Bachmann GP30's off the market yesterday. It seemed like people were thinking I should give away two DCC equipped locos.

Today will be getting a few groceries and getting a walk in...something I missed for a couple of days..Whistling

Chuck:  After my little adventure with the heart attack come cardiac arrest scenario it took awhile for me to actually get into the swing of a new way of living...take care...Big Smile

Inch: Don't you just love the up and down winter? One day it is up next day it is down.....and then we see all these people getting sickDead

Curt:  It supposedly is a part of Buffalo's Grand central Station...I'm guessing some kind of a trainshop of some sort?

This one is labelled Sir Vival...not sure as to date it was taken...

Mornin, I’ll try an irish coffee Zoe, yep I came down with everybody else’s bug around here yesterday, but I’m some betters now, just a 24 hr one. One good thing, being sick got me out of baking another 3 doz cupcakes.

Yesterday was cold, cloudy, windy n spitten sn-w, high 37. Today’s supposed to be sunny calm breeze and 54, no wonder everybody’s getting sick.

ULRICH,,,,,,,,,,,, Glad yur back, hope things start getting betters. Like how your layout is comin along.

CHUCK,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,   glad your back and still with us. Don’t worry head n hands will get back together shortly I’m sure.

GARRY,,,,,,,,,, I seen those bout the bridge. Last I heard it’d be 3-4 year for a new one.

We’ve talked bout comin down yur way again, but it won’t be this year, think we’re going up the #1 daughter’s by Cleveland. We haven’t been up that way for 3-4 year and Roni didn’t make it down last..

Speakin of Roni,,,, I got a package from her and the girls in the mail Fri, with a Bachman Diesel Express set in it [not something I would buy], a wood craft train kit, and a small wooden train. Seems her n the girls were at a flea market, and the girls decide G-pa needed a B-day present.

On a sad note,,,, there was a car/train crash in the county last Wed, 2 adults [23& 24] died at the scene, 2 children [4 & 2] died Fri at Riley in in Indy. The 1 year old will recover. The crossing is marked with cross bucks and yield sign, but without lights. Terrible that folks are in such a hurry, they can’t stop, look, n listen.

Best lay down for abit, still no energy for much. Might get in some play time later. Thoughts n prayers for all those in need. Hope ya’ll has a gooden.

Evening here... I'll have a coke, thanks.

If anyone has been following WPF you would have seen I've been busy this weekend building a little extension which I'm calling the bridge extension. I'm not too sure about the right hand side foreground bridge... May use a deck bridge instead.

I've also reconfigured the yard to suit, Not permanent yet...

And installed a short extension to increase one of the yard tracks, this might turn into a 15' or so 3 track extension. Just need to move the freezer thats in my way... Confused

Just need to get some foam tomorrow to fill in the valley to the river floor and add a gentle cutting to help disguise the transition to the hidden trackage behind the backdrop.

Thats all for now, time for bed!

Good Morning Gang!

It is Sunday, February 26th, 2012 - time to start thinking about next month´s location. Any ideas?

Flo, I´ll have my Sunday breakfast with all the works, please.

Tried to get some more pictures of my now installed "layout". without a tripod, this was some task. I built a contraption using Petra´s ironing board, cardboard boxes and books to get my camera up to the height I needed it. The track is at 62" above the floor, which is good for viewing the layout, but not for taling pictures without a tripod.

Well, here are the latest pics:

Have a good one & stay safe!

Hello ....

Ken ... Good to see the boys enjoying the hobby!

On the layout I am working on what I believe will be my last downtown building. I'm getting anxious to get all of the downtown together.

It was a lady at church who died of cancer. Her husband, two sons, their wives, and the grandkids survive.

Good night. everybody.

 Evening Fellow Dinners!

 Flo, Beer Please.

Work Front / Hades (did I spell Hades right? If not I hate to guess to here what I really spelled.) First so much for 2 days off in a row, or even 2 days off. Found out today I have to work Sunday! Sigh Simon 1966 was coming over and bringing his son's to run my layout. I love it when he brings his sons, that is what trains are really about. They are for the young, and the young at heart.

Sure Glad I was only Scheduled to 6:00 PM today! Sigh Got out at 8:00! Bang Head

Evil Over Lord (new name for Larry) all so stole a $1400.00 ticket from me on Friday my day off. Won't go into great detail but I knew it was going to happen before it did happen! It is not so much the $30.00 or so commission, but I just knew he was going to do it to me! Guy has no morals!

Ulrich Sure great seeing you posting and have some friends around to help you out!

I wanted to address a few more people that posted tonight, but I have to head to bed. 7:00 AM comes pretty early when you got use to getting up at 9:00 AM.

Evenin' diners!

Janie, just a decaf for...  I overate earlier...  THAT is understatement!  OK, I'll start from the beginning.  I was sitting here at my computer mid afternoon thinking about how I really needed to get busy cleaning the house before my Granddaughters come to visit tomorrow (while my son and DIL get their taxes done).  The doorbell rings, the door opens, in comes my son....  Hi son!  Whatcha doin', says I.  Oh just wasting some time says he.  They have to go grocery shopping but wanted to waste some time before they meet MIL and Uncle at a Chinese Restaurant here in town...  Asks if want to go over there with them.  Sure says I.  So I had a huge Chinese buffet meal tonight and do not wish to take my blood sugar reading just yet.  So.... I am sitting here waiting to get a cup of decaf!  Thank you Ma'am.

At dinner #2 Granddaughter was misbehaving and wanted to run all over the place and wouldn't sit at the table and eat.  #1 granddaughter just wanted Papa (grandpa) to sit next to her which he did.  She got very excited and giggly and had to tell me everything she did earlier....  #2 granddaughter still wanted to run all over the place and not eat her food....  Son walked with her all around the restaurant a couple times, so her Mom was going to get up and take her exploring again, when I chimed in and said grandpa would go with them if she wanted as I had already overeaten by THAT time.  #2 Granddaughter quietly got out of her chair came around to me, held out her hand for me to take, and the two of us walked all over the place for a while.  My son and his wife finally got to eat their dinners, and I had a great time! Smile, Wink & GrinBig Smile  I got to walk all over the restaurant with the cutest little almost 3 year old I know!

Did a little more tearing apart of the yard tonight.  Was hoping the guy would give me a call today to check out what I want done.  He probably spent the day with emergency calls due to the wind and snow.

Terry, good to see you back in here.  Do behave yourself and keep getting better day by day.  Compared to even a few years ago they are performing miracles with stroke victims these days.  Good luck!

Prayers for all of you in need!  You know who you are.....

Evening All,

I picked up the turnouts tonight and helped to fix a turnout on the club layout before heading home. I'm looking forward to Wednesday to start on the track work.  Had Pizza for dinner. I will probably hit the sack around 9 PM.

Garry- I am sorry for the loss of your friend.

Barry- I guess it was your picture last night. Can you tell me what that is a picture of?

Ulrich- Hope you are doing better and I hope you can get some MRR time in on your modules.

Galaxy- Hope your ankle is doing better.

Hope everyone has a good night.

If it was your right foot I'd trade with you. Mine is of absolutely no use.

***I wouldn't trade with Jeffrey (sorry buddy), but would trade with almost anyone else. All this left ankle is good for is keeping the foot attached. No guaranty it will allow the foot to hit the ground flat and remain there. Almost useless.

***Chuck, so sorry about your stroke. They can be devastating. So glad you survived and have been improving. Nice to have friends visiting and helping out. Hope you will continue to stop in and let us know how you are doing. Just keep working to improve.

Hello, everybody.

Chuck, we missed seeing you. Thanks for posting again. I'm very sad to learn about your stroke. Prayers for you. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Ulrich ... I like the layout very much. You are a master of scenery. Prayers for your continued recovery.

Flip ... Your talking about censors reminds me of a conversation in this forum with Duke. I typed the name of the road near where Duke lives on which Great Lakes Hobbies is located. The road is named Van D_y_k_e ..... I guess that meant something bad to the computer. ...

Speaking of Duke........ It 's tome for him to awaken!

We lost a good friend to cancer, and so it is now time to go to the funeral home for the visitation.

Been perusing Real Eastate in Hawaii to get an idea of what thigs are what out there. We think we want to retire there instead of FLorida . We have a thing in FLorida right now, but that may change as time goes on and we have decided we don't really like Florida all that much any more. Inheritances if any, will also play a part in how "big" we can go . We may jsut stick with the trailer here for another 20 years or so until retiring and put all money into house in Hawaii instead of buying here. We had hoped to go again this year,. but on hold 'lessen we git to go in Sept/Oct for my Bday.

MOH's new store is open today for family of employees only...they built a brand new store right across the parking lot form the old one to "update" to the new store design. But I am not going to go do to my foot.. MOH will close the old store department today at 5 pm and wil open the new store at 8:30 AM tomorrow. I will see the new store soon enough.

Special thoughts and prayers for CHUCK and for ULRICH. In fact a prayer candle is up now for all those in need {including me and my foot- and Jeffrey and his foot}!!!

WEll, left over Meatloaf and smashed taters and corn for dinner..I don't have to stand and cook it!

Gogo guddo! Koko ni utsukushī yuki no hi.

Chloe just a cup of hot cocoa for now.  You know where I'll be.

Curt......???  Ah........... I don't remember any photo at all from me last night in here...?  Only thing I did was bring the lyrics for the sone celebrating Ken's Birthday.  You know, "Hippo, Birdie, two Ewes...."  You might mean the photo Barry put up here last night.

Had fun this mornin', I did!  Went to an operations session at this guys house (Ron Stacy, top group of photos).  Left bright and early and except for high winds, the roads around here and down the thruway were clear.  Turned North onto 490 West to go toward Rochester and hit a major band of what we call "Lake Effect" snow.  Most travel slowed to a crawl with the exception them what drahves them big ol' SUV type thingies with 4 wheel draaaahve.  Yip, they can keep right on draaaahhhhvin' through dem there drifts at 70 or so.  And then go right off into the ditch of course.  Nobody seems to tell the idjuts that 4 wheel drive doesn't help you stop and the laws of physics are still in force....  Anyway after about 8 miles of that, the rest of the way over to Ron's house was not bad.  On the way home the roads were great until just a few miles before I had to turn off the Thruway.  Again, most people were following the lead of the truckers who slowed down to 30 or so during the main white outs.  Still a few idjuts on the road though.  Some were being towed out of the median as I drove by.......  Worst actual driving (white knuckle variety) was on the North South road leading into Geneva, as the 40 mph wind was dropping a steady supply of "partly cloudy" onto the road every few hundred feet or so.  Made it there and back in one piece, I did!

Operation session was a blast.  Ron had everything well thought out and organized.  I partnered with another NMRA member for the first run of new peddler freight serving a few industrial areas on his layout.  We found out half way through the morning that he was experimenting to see if it worked or not...  It did with some fun switching puzzles.  Great morning.

I am now waiting for a phone call from the gentleman who i will be getting to put up sheetrock behind the layout along one wall.

Ulrich!  Take care of yourself and don't overdo!  I love the progress you have made with the modules...  Looking great.

Catch you all later!

mmmmmm....I have found that I am missing an elevator...Confused...I really would like to know what happened here...can't find it anywhere...Huh?

We are having sightings of a curious yellow orb that is frequently described as being associated with blue sky here...it has been that dull dull dull around here...

Sunsetbeachry - Sounds like you made it through some very serious health issues. It's great to hear you are on the mend and hope your progress goes even faster.

Somewhat cold, windy and snowy here in the "Burgh." a little accumulation over night, but not too bad. In a few minutes, we are leaving to go to a little birthday party for our great neice, who turns 10 today. I love that little one too pieces and can't believe how fast she is growing up.

Burgers, no buns, and a Coffee refill, please.

***Ulrich, it's official, your layout is up and running(?), or at least up. It looks great and with room for expansion there is plenty more MRRing in your future.Yes

***Curt, looks like the path of a tornado left on your layout. Main difference is in your case, it's Progress!

***Galaxy, always blaming the Aliens. Hey, my ancestors worked very hard to build their spaceship and...uh...oops...never mind.Alien

Ahh, food has arrive. Dinner Rob
