Decaf coffee, please.

***Jeffrey, great looking container. Painted or print out type?

Who angered the "Back God", mine went out earlier, too. About the only position I can get comfortable in is sitting hunched over. Same lower back discs injured half a lifetime ago. Couldn't even do the stretches that normally bring relief, only sharp pains. So, it's a night of swapping out ice packs here. It will get better sooner or later, always does.

Well, heading back to bed and more ice. Have a good night all.

Evenin' folks!

Janie just a cup of decaf.... well maybe a slice of the pecan pie with some fresh whipped cream as well....  Blood sugar was 91 when I just took it so I guess I can have dessert tonight.

Holy Mackerel...  Is there a nurse in the house...  There is?  Oh, a Lion, nurse, EMT, and Medical tech all rolled into one?  Well, I think he is needed in the back...  Couple of our patrons are writhing in pain.  Wrenched their backs, they did!  Jeffrey, Rob,  you guys take care of yourselves, you hear!  We got enough trouble around here without you two injuring yourselves!  Kidding aside, hope you both feel better in the morning!

Ulrich, glad to hear you have some help getting through the month!  Hang in there.

Went down to church late today and we got the sound system all hooked up for the minister to use tomorrow morning.  Showed him how to fire it up when I went back down for the MLK meeting (he is a member as well), all of one little switch to turn on where everything is on the newish lavalier mic (it is a bit different than the one he uses), and where the volume control is...  He fired it up and walked around to try it out.  He looked at me and said, "Wow!  That's great!"

Meeting went well and got over in just over an hour.  Got home and finished the Fast Tracks turnout I started yesterday and started on another.  Also started to install some cork roadbed.  I only have about 15 turnouts to build for the area I'm rebuilding..........  Oh. some items came from Micro-Mark today.  Some stuff for mold making.  I guess I will be attempting to start on the Octagon Blacksmith's shop soon.

Hope you all have a great night!  Prayers for all in need....

Whistling

KEN:  I would confront him face to face.  Ask him what he understands about fairness and honesty.

Then I would ask him if the roles were reversed would he be prepared to standby and have you take his percentage without a grumble and see what he has to say.

Then inform him that you can show him where you had booked that work for a specific time so that is your percentage and not his.  watch his reaction, you have nothing to lose,  if he comes back really stupid and ugly like I kind of expect him to, all it does is verify that he cannot be trusted and you don't want to work with him anyway. It would be then I would go to HR. informing them of his dishonesty and if he is doing it to you right in your face believe me he is doing it to the Company when they are not watching over his shoulder.

How these scabs get into positions of Management blow my mind. Somebody somewhere who hired him sure do not know anything about checking out a person's character.  But usually that person is such a manipulator, almost a social-path that they sell themselves very well when obtaining the job. That does not mean the Company wants nor deserves the person that they hired. They just made a very costly mistake.

GO GET HIM CUDA..........................

Ken, I know you are upset and angry, but PLEASE DO watch your language in the diner!!! That is about as bad as spelling it out!!!

As my mother used to say, "you can find other ways to express yourself!".

SOmething like "rip-off Artist" would have worked in its place in  this case.

And YES! you SHOULD report to the HR manager that you are being ripped off and circumvented by this individual who is litterally Stealing from you!!! You would not be a whiney baby, just going after your just desserts!

SO DO it!!!!

Good Afternoon!

Went to see the doc this morning, as my old ticker seems to be acting up again. He changed meds to get a better control of my arrhythmia. - hopefully, it´ll work!

The money my friend Heinz from Vienna had sent to us has arrived, making me feel a lot better now, knowing how to cover next month´s food bills. It is still an unthinkable thought for me that there are people in this country not knowing how to pay for their food. Getting money for food is a constitutional right here, which our administration tends to ignore ...

No, Zoe, no need to get the soapbox out, or wake up Vinnie... - I am not ranting!

Evening diners,

Only 1 hr 45min at the time of posting until we clock over to march.

My question to the diners, where are we heading for March?? How about a journey down under? Or would you like to stay closer to home?

Cheers,

Good morning. It's 66° and cloudy with drizzle. The high will be 78° and it'll be cloudy. Chance of rain is 30%.

Looks like those up north and east of me are getting the kind of weather I surely don't want. I don't mind rain much but I surely don't like it when it comes down in flakes.

Ken: Report that ****! You can be sure that if he's stealing from you he's stealing from others and quite possibly from the company.

I feel much better this morning. There's just a minor twinge in my back from yesterdays events. Already been out working on the van this morning. Changed out the plug wires that were giving me a problem and got everything closed up. Now I'll just stay inside and rest as much as I can.

Good Morning!! Coffee and a cheese omelet please. Extra cheesey too thank you.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 63. Windy, with a west southwest wind between 21 and 31 mph, with gusts as high as 47 mph.

Rob- Oops. See? That’s why I try and not draw conclusions over things. My apologies to the kid. Yes I sure do know many are scammers. I saw one of those reports several years ago. The guy was doing it as a part time job. He made $30,000 tax free a year. This in addition to whatever his regular job was. __ Best to have the blade come down on the part you want showing. It chips less than pushing through. Just like wood. When Terry says slow, he ain’t kiddin. We’re talking sloooow. The fence issue is important too. That keeps you from hopefully slightly turning the piece and creating another chip. Unfortunately my tile saw is too small for 12 inch tle to do that so I had to freehand it. The cuts were straight, but I did get some chips. Not sure if it was the turning of the piece or I was going too fast. It’s not hard, but it does take some practice. Kinda like living with a woman. Oh and don’t I know about back issues. I have narrowing of …Confused.the holes in the vertebrae the nerves come out of in a couple of S’s and a couple L’s. (can’t remember the numbers) so when I move in a certain way, the icepick that gets jabbed in my back about brings me to my knees. Then there is the numbness that in whatever lower extremity’s nerve got pinched is kinda interesting sometimes depending. But that thing in my upper back or neck that will make it impossible to move or sit without being in “just that right spot” is what is the worst.

Ken- I was gonna give a suggestion for evil whatever, but Johnboy just quoted me. Of course mine involved dog pooey under his door handles, but that’s probably kinda childish so I'll leave that part out.

Jeff- Glad back’s better today. You’re not a little guy and that fall could have caused some real damage the way you described it. May want to see about having it checked, especially with your can’t feel some pains issue. Just a suggestion……sonWhistling Laugh.

Floor Wars Williamsville: Phase….I lost track - Waiting for cabinets. Maybe this week, maybe next.

Ya know, I don’t always respond to some problems folks have. But rest assured even though I may not say so, each and every one of you that are in some situation, whether it be financial or health or anything else, are in my prayers. Like Johnboy said, I consider you all sort of extended family and friends.

I’m with Ulrich, It would be great if the fates allowed all of us to gather somewhere, even if it was just once. Big Smile I know…..RAY’s house! It should be clean by then.

Time to see if CBS.com (no affiliation with me) is showing Ziva yetStick out tongue.

 Morning Fellow Dinners

 Flo, Coffee Please.

Galaxy What I originally typed was not really bad, but I will go with Ulrich judgment in this case.

I really feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard spot on this. While the company says they want the shops to be ran honest, what they really want is to make money. Larry is making the company money, something this shop has not done in a while. So will they really care that he is bending the rules and taking some money out of my pocket? Whistling I don't really think so.

So they will slap Larry wrist and say "Bad Larry" then I am still stuck with him. Plus if he becomes the manager, well then I am really up the creek.

I will bring it up with Larry, but I all ready know what his defenses will be. He will claim he sold them extra work (which he did but they they need it?) and wanted to make sure he got paid. He will claim that he thought if he add the extra work to my reservation ticket that I would get the commission. And it would be a pretty good defenses with the lack of training we get.

Oh well, today is a different day.

Good Morning Modelers!

It's 28F heading for 54F and sunny skies.  Got a light dusting of snow mixed with hail (It's February right?) and they say we might get some more Thursday.  Looks like the February Snow Fall record for Denver set in 1912 will hold up but 2012 will be #2 on the list.

Good Morning, Zoe - I'll have the #2 special, scrambled please, and a glass of Ed's OJ and a Santa Fe mug of coffee also. Thanks!

Sorry for my being out too long (again). Ulrich, good to see you are getting some help (even if Petra could make a little bit of almost-nothing yummy, I'm sure)!

Might want to keep Garry and our Ohio River area Diners (including our Indiana folks) in mind and AngelAngel today, as this morning's radar was showing that line of storms has slowed its southward drift, and that could mean more nasty stuff if it doesn't move through before this afternoon (warmer weather is not good for this kind of front).

Jeff - good to hear you're feeling a bit better today than yesterday (and that you have the van's wiring done so you can rest up). Thumbs Up

Lion, you are a man blessed with many talents, indeed - EMT, Nurse, computer whiz and all! Bow

Ken, I'd agree with the others about talking to HR about your 'help-myself' co-w**ker there. You might go ahead first and try talking with him, as others said, to verify how things are with him. But I have my suspicions as to what his response may be...

My immediate supervisor has left (as of last Friday), and I'm keeping my eyes open... Whistling

if we get some drier weather here (without a lot of breezes), I have some more painting and priming of structures to be done for the layout. (No pics just yet)

Terry, good to see you're still posting your layout pics. Smile

I'll be at the window booth, taking care of my breakfast for a bit. Dinner

Blessings,

Jim in Cape G.

Zoe, I'll have a short stack of rice pancakes with Maple Syrup, and a side order of sausage to go along with the dark roast coffee to start the day!  Madamu, arigatōgozaimasu!  (Bows low.)

Currently 30°F here in the Finger Lakes.  Supposed to get up to 36°F later this afternoon and we are under a........ Winter Weather Advisory here!  We could get ..... AN INCH...  of snow today!  The weather service has big banners on the page and links to click on to check out this MAJOR Winter storm!!!  Well it is one of the bigest we've had this Winter, except for when we got about 2 inches and it blew into drifts allowing me to have a reason to start the fossil fuel burner and blow it around for a while. Whistling  Gloom and Doom!!!

Other than going shopping for groceries and  getting ready for the Region BOD Skype call this evening, it should be an easy day around here.  Might spend part of the day building some more turnouts and gluing down cork roadbed.

Ken, keep a running log with dates and time of everything going on at w*rk....  It can come in handy if they decide to make you unemployed again.

Later!

Boy, I'm seeing reports of snow, ice, wind and all sorts of weather I don't want. It's a nice warm 70 down in Louisiana and you folks are welcome to it. Only problem is you gotta come here to enjoy it. Still, it's better than snow and ice.

Yes, We are supposedly getting even MORE DOOM & GLOOM than Ray is reporting! We already have a whole inch or so and will get up to 4 and then have frain {that's freezing rain} and then have sleet, then have wintery mix, then have rain- up to a 1/2 incoh of THAT!!!

Thank you Jeffrey, We might just wanna come drop into visit you...where is the nearest motel???

Yay lunch time! Zoe, could I have a bacon cheeseburger, crispy french fries with a bit of salt and pepper and a chocolate milk-shake.

I'll take some of that LA weather Jeffrey! It's cold and rainy here in PA Dutch country!

Spent the evening at a friend's listening to music. He'd just built two huge sub-woofers for his stereo to complement these lovely 3-way speakers which sounded great but they didn't have any low-end punch. Wow did they sound good! I couldn't help but contemplate how the sounds of trains and railroading would have sounded on the speakers, but without me asking he played the old Jethro Tull song 'Locomotive Breath' which I love.
