G- Thanks! That sounds similar. The bumps are about the size of a pin point and quite a few fairly concentrated. I could see no appearance of individual swelling at the red spots (very tiny) rather like a...well, swollen finger with some slight discoloration. Nope not taking anything as a diagnosis, just looking for ideas for suggestions to the doc. You'd think at over a hundred dollars a visit you wouldn't have to help. No discount if you're right either.
Rob- (chuckle) No cooties, already asked. She already has been checked for Herpes and a couple other STD's she kinda embarassingly offered up. But not at my asking . She's monogomus and she claimed if had came back positive, her and her husband would have had a very very long "talk" and he would be in quite bad shape now. She's about 4'10", weighs maybe 90 pounds soaking wet, just as pretty as they come and pure italian. I do believe she could and would take him and he's probably 6'1" and about 210. Happens randomly but happening more often it sounds. I don't know how early they have harmonal issues, she's only 28 but who knows. I assume they have checked that out. She's my little buddy and I'm naturally concerned, but I still didn't delve too far into the "uncomfortable " side if you know what I mean. Thanks for the suggestions.
Don't take this the wrong way, but only asking this because, well, some of you have dealt with such a wide variety of......situations, maybe someone has had something or knows someone who has.
She find out I'm asking this, yall'd probably never see me again either .

Flip- Thanks. That was my response to the Herpes thing. Could be stress related. Hey, had to take some pressure off the hubby you know . I will suggest a dematologist though. Never thought of that. She does deal with stress.

Jeffrey.. you know I live in Upstate New Yawk...and have NO white Christmas this year either!!!
We have actually had quite a mild fall..days of 40's and then a few days of 20-30s, then back to 40s or near there!!! average I think is supposed to be around 20 now. I won't complain though!!!! Neither will MOH!!!
It is due to the jet stream carrying high across the state, bringing warm weather form your neck of the woods to here. Thank you very much!!!
Todd... if you have ruled out things like shingles {herpes Zoster- the chickenpox virus coming back} and such, try my method if the Dr. thinks OK and see if it helps the poor little thing...if the same as I have, then I can sympathize with her immensely. They itch, burn and ache like crazy...all from a buildup under the skin of fluid! I get em on my toes sometimes too!!! Those are VERY annoying...at least I can scratch my fingers,,,but toes are sometimes inaccessable in shoes!!!

everyone. Just wanted to say THAT before we head out to the second round of Turkeyfest 2011 this evening.( I totally echo Todd's thoughts about celebrating this Day BTW, Thanks Todd - and I think your wife would shake her head at me too on the trusting thing! ) "Second round" as we had Hospital Christmas lunch with Kris' mother - which was very different for us (We had a Christmas service in her room last night); but she was able to open her pressies and listen to a CD of her home church choir in England sent by the daughter of a life-long friend. Ended not so well as she threw up her dessert on getting back to her room Tonight we've been invited to a "come-from-aways' " pot luck dinner, except the entree is being cooked by the chef of a local not-at-all-shabby restaurant.....and it's turkey, hence the second round bit. Kris is adding some sausage rolls and we've a bottle of pear wine and some mince pies to throw in. apparently this dinner has been held for years - it's just this year we are not so much "en famile" with Ellen in the hospt.
Looking forward to being able to do some more mrr in the New Year as things stabilize with my MIL. There was an Optisight Magnifying Visor under the tree, so that will help!!!
Hoping things go well for you all in 2012; and a for your friendship over the years.

PS, we did end up with a white Christmas thanks to a "fast moving depression over Georgia that will bring snow to most of the Maritimes on the 23rd-24th Dec, followed by a drop in temperature" It wasn't much snow, but it qualifies, I guess. Here's a view from our bedroom yesterday.

Great to see som any people here!
My layout has minimal Christmas stuff on it.:
Also, I have some Lionel trains for Christmass Tree Duty.
Everybody........ You might not believe what happened this morning. We arrived early at church this morning. Amazingly, a thief (Or some thieves) stole air conditioner units from the back of the church overnight. Hard to believe anybody could stoop low enough to steal from a church on Christmas Eve.
Sheriff Deputy came to do the police report. He said another church had the same thing happen a couple of days earlier. Thieves sell the copper at the scrap yeard. He said, scrap dealers are required to see photo I D when they buy scrap copper, and I don't know what this theif will do about that.
Todd ... thanks for all your comments. I think America was built on attitudes like yours where a handshake is all you need between two individual. ... I probably said too much, but I wonder why people are not skeptical of the so-called "news".

Merry Christmas to everyone in the Diner!
Off in a little bit for Christmas dinner at my MIL's. Only 6 of us now and I'm the only male. I have to try not to eat too much but my MIL likes to cook for 20. We're going early to give her a hand.
All in all a quiet Christmas for us. My wife and I decided not to spend much on each other as we are saving for a trip in 2013. I did buy myself one of those new Bman FA2's as they have a CN green and yellow scheme which is right for my era. I hear they are quite good. I'll be picking it up soon as it is at my friend's place in Thief River Falls. I thought about one of those new Moguls as they have a CN version but it is too far off the actual even for me. I'm a 'if I squint' rivet counter but putting a number on it for a Mountain and then painting the smoke box silver is going too far even for me. CN never painted smoke boxes silver, as a 5 minute google search would have revealed. Gosh, I just talked myself out of buying a lokie! Say and a pig just flew by the window! What a day!
Well a turkey dinner is calling me so I'll sign off wishing all a great day,
Dave(CN Charlie)

***Garry, nice Christmas touch on the layout. Is that something you leave up or only through the holiday season? Sorry about the thieves. That is a rotten deal.
CSX pushed the cleaning car around quite a bit this afternoon. Only got stuck (repeatedly) going through one particular switch and only when going strait. So, I can live with that. Thanks, Todd!
Almost time for the evening rounds here. Rob
Rob- You're welcome.

***Flip, "OOPS". Blame it on this "middle-aged-timers". Thanks again, Flip!
Earlier I painted some more landscape areas on the (HO) layout and got it totally toooooo dark. Could paint over it all with white gesso and try again. Or, perhaps add lighter colored foliage and stuff, which is probably a lot easier. Oh well. Probably a good thing I wasn't at the easel today...yuck!

My father does a lot of painting and runs into this all of the time. He likes to put a light on his work while he works, and then when the painting is viewed in normal light it is way to dark. You really have to paint in the light under which the painting will be seen. Which of course I cannot do because I cannot see what I am doing. But then I am not critical about how things look anyway. Besides which, Subways run in a hole in the ground, so who is going to see them anyways.

Good evening. It's 48° and cloudy. The low tonight will be 45° and there's a 70% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow.I still have three Christmas items coming. A pack of flawed castings (vehicles, crates, wheels, etc) from Stoney Mountain Classics, an Aurora HO Mystery Machine Scoody Doo van and an Accurail DT&I covered hopper that I nearly tripped over for $10. It's condition is rated as C6. It's missing the ladders on one end. This evening I went to my parents place for Christmas dinner. Cornish game hens, homemade dressing that puts StoveTop to shame, green beans, collard greens, french bread and green onions. Not a fancy meal nor simple. I helped them out by collecting the dishes, put the leftovers away and cleaned up the kitchen while my mother washed the dishes. I had no sooner than pulled into their south driveway than my van had a vacuum line blow apart and went to running like crap. Luckily I carry a redneck vacuum line repair kit. JB Weld and electrical tape. I glued the line back together and taped it up good. By the time I was ready to go home the glue was dry and the van runs good again. The hose should last until I can get another one. I also came away from heavy one bag of seven oranges my father gave me. My older niece (the one in Colorado) called while I was there and I got a chance to talk with her and her three year old son. The kid is a CERTIFIED TRAIN NUT! I can't imagine how THAT happened! I've only been sending him toy trains, train pictures and a Thomas puzzle and maybe a few other train related toys since he was old enough to know what a train is. His mother says he's absolutely cuckoo about any and all trains. Seems to me I was like that at that age. Oh well, time will tell.Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Good evening.
Rob ... The Christmas Services sign at the church has another message on teh other side. The store always has the same display in the window. .....
Dennis ... Your Amtrak trip reminds me of a trip my family took when i was a kid in 1957 on the Southern Pacific Shasta Daylight from San Francisco to Portland. .... Yes, I hear many Californians are upset with their state. Here in KY, we rank 4th best in the nation for taxes on retirees.
Here is the luggage tag:
Jeff ... Sounds like a very good family get-together.

Good morning. Happy day after Christmas. We had no Christmas celebration, with the house in disarray. We managed to get the living room back together. It was the best Christmas ever. Today, we will tackle the dining room. I am anxious to get the painting project finished.
We exercised the Mike yesterday while working out. That is one of my favorite locos.

Morning!
Flo Coffee please.
Survived another Christmas! I do mean survived, around 10:00 AM I came down with a fever. So I was pretty much out of it for the rest of the day. Have no idea what brought it on unless it is the start of another bladder infection? Pretty much laid on the couch all day in between Christmas Lunch and opening presents.
Over all I did pretty good as far as presents. No big ticket items but stuff I like. More Hot Wheel Mopar cars, from my Daughter and her boy friend.
Best Present? Great American & European Railroads! It is a 3 CD set and from what I remember it is pretty good. Started watching it after the guest left. I was nodding in and out while I was laying on the couch watching it. Best Train CD I have seen to date.
Not feel great today, but not sufficiently sick to not go to work.
See you all later tonight.

Good Morning!! Coffee and a Porterhouse med rare, baked sweet potato with butter brown sugar and cinnamon, them glazed little carrots, and a salad with Western please and thank you.
Increasing clouds, with a high near 46. Now that’s for today, check out tonights; Rain likely before midnight, then rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 33. Course it’s supposed to be sunny and 43 tomorrow. Daytime temps predicted in the 40’s the rest of the year. Can’t complain. At this rate Brenda and I won’t have to retire to the Hill Country. It’s coming to us.
(said in an amazingly accurate Mary Tyler Moore voice) “Ooohhh Rob”- I’ll suggest the alien thing.
Galaxy- Boy what you say your symptoms are sure do sound like what she describes. I don’t recall the itching, but she did mention on her toes once or twice. They don't look fluidy though, and they feel.... well they just feel swollen. Not softish like usual. I shall Google. Didn’t have time yesterday.
Garry- The attitudes of most of us were changed by the same types of people who stole your AC units from the Church. They will steal your water pipes too so don’t be surprised if the basement is flooded someday. If they’re nice, they’ll shut the water off if they can find the valve easy enough. Mom had a rental house in Springfield that apparently was too hard to locate. I think some day they'll find out they have to answer to someone way more important than you, me, or the law on this one. Anyway, everyone has, and is entitled to their own views for whatever reason and I make no judgements on that just because they may disagree or not see things the way I do. That too is what made America and I don’t forget that either. And by the way, anymore, over all, I’m not near as trusting as I used to be.
Cornish Hens! Just remembered we have a couple in the freezer. We like them because each can have chicken the way we both like at the same time. Think I’ll pull em out.
Chad
Glad to see some long time gones have popped in for the Holidays, looking forward to hearing from a few more. Maybe this year will see them get the chance to stop in more often.
Christmas was a new TV and the floors. Brenda and I have just about give up on trying to find something for each other anymore. It’s usually better to just get something from us both to us both. Next year at our age I forsee an extra large bottle of Centrum Silver. I did get a new Carhardt coat. She didn’t like the holes in my old coat and decided I needed a new one before I duct taped the sleeves again. (Long story). Don’t usually buy Carhardt’s. I’m a Wall’s guy. About 10 to 20 United Statesian dollars cheaper.
I won't mention the time I spent getting the toys out of the package for the Grandkids. About 20 minutes on this one. That's just insane.
When I get this floor done, Living room and Dining room, I have been given permission to take a break from floors. Now don’t think she’s softening up any, she wants her car fixed. Then I can tackle another floor. However, once the car is running, then I may get to have some normal days. Yes I’ll be w**king flipping pizza's at night and doing flooring by day as most retired super heroes do anymore, but…I foresee a different UND(that’s Urgency of Need Designation. Or is it designator? Can‘t remember)so possibly I can get into the train room for reasons other than cutting wood. Let’s hope.
Welp, best get a movin, Bank’s closed today so no point in doing Church stuff and my Perfect Niece is up from Nashville and will come by this afternoon. She is great at keeping in touch for such a busy young girl. Plus I need to run an errand in Springfield this morn too. Brenda wants as much of the Living Room floor done as possible before she gets here (sound of cracking whip snaps through the diner). We’ll see.
Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!
(two blasts on the whistle)
Good morning. It's 50° and wet. The high will be 56° and there will be more rain. There's a 60-70% chance of rain and thunderstorms all day. The lake is now only a foot and a half below it's normal level. It had been more than four feet down.Welcome Chad.Well, nothing but rain and more rain today IF the weather guesser is correct. I can hear the rain pounding on the roof at this time. At the moment I'm fresh out of new projects to work on. I have more things to work on coming but it's going to be three days to a week before they get here. One thing I found is an Accurail DT&I covered hopper. It looks way to clean! It should be here in two or three days. Two other items, HO Mystery Machine van and package of Stoney Mountain vehicle castings should be here at the end of the month or the first few days of January. I believe I mentioned I had talked with my niece and her son yesterday. Colorado is a good distance from here but they came through loud and clear. My mother was talking with them on the phone in the library (her favorite room) and I was on the phone in my fathers study. The kid is an out and out train nut. My niece blames my mother and I for that. I've been a train nut all my life and my mother liked to play with trains, cars and guns when she was young (none of the doll stuff for her!). She really enjoys holiday trains. My younger sister was the same way pretty much. She was forever invading my train room and running my trains while I was out. The flanged wheel fever seemed to skip her daughter (my older niece). Is it any wonder that her daughters kid has train fever? Well, there's also the fact that I've been helping inundate him with all sorts of train related stuff for the past couple of years. My mother is the prime offender. She set him up with the whole Thomas series. When he's old enough to appreciate them I'll send him a bunch of photos of what I've done and see if I can kick him into the world of layout building.

Morning All,
Nothing going on here. It is trying very hard to rain today. Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 78F but on Wed/Thur the high is supposed to be in the mid 60's. Hey it's FL give it a day and the weather will change.
I thought I was going to install at least one set of hardware for the PL signals today but after reading the instructions for the 10th time (over several months) I had several questions that I need answered before I start hookup, so hopefully I can work on it this coming weekend. For the most part LRT has well written directions and the problems are most likely my electrical inexperience.
Chad- Glad you made it to the Diner.
Ken- Hope you are feeling better.
Garry- Sorry to hear about your church. I really believe the economy is just a excuse for a lot of people and businesses for bad behavior and treating people/employees badly.

. Rob ... Is the tree still there?
Morning and Merry Christmas to all of you. Huh? No, today is still Christmas! It is a season after all. 12 days long just like the old secular song about it...... Goes on until January 6th. which is the Feast of the Epiphany. Today has something to do with Turtle Soup Doves or something like THAT.
Anyway, I'll just have a bran muffin and lots of real butter to go along with my dark roast coffee.... Ate way too much yesterday.
I got all kinds of train stuff for the Holiday yesterday. Mostly items (tools) from Micro Mark. Even got a couple sheets of rivets! Guess word is getting around about me. My DIL's Uncle and his girlfriend gave me a a beautiful framed picture of CN 0-6-0 #7470. Did some research and found she is evidently still in service on an excursion road in New England.

***Garry, yes it is still there. Should have someone out this week to put a bid on it's removal. Nobody can get to it until Jan. though. Wish it wouldn't keep raining, as that cannot be helping any. The trunk of that tree sits on the edge of a ravine behind that building.
