Lumber yard ..

It was a Christmas present to me last year. It's the common Atlas lumber yard. I weathered it and built a dock on the back. Also, I added the lumber as a well as a figure inside not visable in this picture. The shed to the right in the photo from an old Campbell kit.

Please show something made of brass.

....................................

Rich and Jarrell: Thanks for comments. There are two groups of background buildings. One is photographic and these were purchsed at a model train store several years ago. I used 3 backgrounds end-to-end. Two are identical, and I placed the odd one between them. I see DJ (Grampy) has used the sqame one in the background for his city, and he might know who made them. The back side has the name of the company printed, but I forgot the name. I can't look now because of the adhesive holding them to the wall.

The second group of background buildinds was computer generated images. These are the onse behind Union Station and the ones for mail and express. I purchased them on Ebay. I saw the seller was still on Ebay when I looked recently. Searching on Eaby under HO trains for "background" or "Backdrop" should get a result. The seller allowed me to choose the words on the buildings.

I painted the sky myself, and I will never be a classic artist.

Rich ... You are welcome. DJ, thanks for the info. .... My freelance city has a Pittsburgh skyline, an Obama station, and streetcars with Los Angeles. ..... Rivit counters can look elsewhere when I run a Pennsy T-1 in Nebraska or when I run trains in a double track tunnel under a cornfield. Whistling Laugh

That's the Golden Spike Special, an accumulation of cars from friends all over that came together to celebrate the completion of the main line of my layout last spring.  Cars came from California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Germany, among others.

Show me a local doing some switching.

All of the LION's benchwork is "creative"! This piece is part of my new four track 1.5 turn helix. The next level (on top of this) is already installed. This level is fully decorated (as a subway tunnel), and can be viewed by the peeking peekers.

Lion's ROAR put everyone to sleep for about 6 hours. Here are some wood models on the Boothbay RR Village layout, kind of answering a request from a page or 2 ago.

The yellow house is scratch built and the garge is a Branchline model. The 3 white houses in the background are also scratch built; the church is a kit

Show me something else scratchbuilt

Nothing near as fancy or involved, but this was my first extensive timber trestle, both scratched and later stained with real creosote oil.  Mmmmmm....c-r-e-o-s-o-o-o-t-e.

Let's stick with this theme, please.
