Evening Dinners!
Flo Beer Please.
Boy there was a lot of running today! Left the house at 9:30 AM and I got home at 3:00 PM.
Bought a tire today And it was not from work I know it sound stupid, but I want all 4 tires to match. I had all ready bought 2 of them and this one makes 3, 1 more to go. Besides, the Left Front was close to having cords coming out, it would suck to have it blow on the way into work.
First time as a adult that I have all 4 tires match was when I was around 27. Up to that point I replaced the bad tire with anything that would fit. It was such a thrill to see my Road Runner with all matching Raised White Letter Tires!
Getting The House Loan Modified. Well that is coming along sort of? Seems the Bean Counter's said I did not send in all of my 2010 tax return paper work? I had H&R Block do the return and they used a 1040EZ. Well there is only 1 page to the 1040EZ, so what else I send in?

Tomorrow I will be working with my new partner at work. Should be interesting.
Friday I get the sutures out of my back and neck and boy am I ready.

Good evening Everyone! Thank you all for the well wishes, I seem to be ok so far, A little blood leaking but no pain. The Doc said I will have a manly scar. To bad that no hot baby dolls we ever see me with my shirt off.... (They would puke!) I will take a few days to get the results back from the lab. I hope he went deep enough I don't want to go back for more, Cami's colonoscopy went well they gave her a clean bill. which is good. Her birth mother passed away from colon cancer so it is a concern for her, I spent most of the day making saw dust. I got 14 Legs built for my new layout. lee, Thanks for the advice. I took it! Went and bought those adjustable gizz mo's that you can adjust ( like the ones on the bottom of the washer and dryer) I hope everyone is doing well tonight. I'll see you all back here in the morning,

Thayne,
We arrived home late last night. We stopped in Lebanon, OH for dinner with son, DIL, and 2 granddaughters who live in Cincinnati. My grandmother grew up in lebanon, and some ancestors lived there in the 1800's including a governor of Ohio in the mid 1800's who also worked for President Lincoln.
Sue .... I hear from Cajun Chef Ryan once in a while. Our other son lives near him in NC. I will attest the spices he sells are very good. Sometime, typing " Cajun Chef Ryan ' isall that is needed to summon his apperance in the diner.
Rob.... I'm glad you are back in the diner and you can keep us informed. Prayers continue for you.
Jerry .... Your layout progress is impressive. Keep us posted.
Duke .... Wish I could have met with you in MI. It was a busy time for me there.
Broadway Lion..... Did a circus train derail or what happened?
Ken ... I hope things get back to normal now that you have the job.
Bill T. I wish I could have gone through Indiana and stopped to see the depot there. Perhpas another trip will work better.
Ulrich ... Thanks for the tour. I like the railroad museum pictures.

Good Evening Diners!
Hello Again,
Well that was weird, I just hit shift for the next paragraph and it posted. Oh well.
Although fall is lingering here, I had a block heater installed in my car today. Normally dealerships order them with the car but as mine wasn't new and came from Vancouver, none was fitted. It turned out to be a very expensive block heater as it is a 2 hour install job that wound up costing $495. I wasn't surprised as my friend in Minnesota had one put in his Impala a couple of years ago and it was $350.
Rob, good to hear from you! I was thinking about your idea for wood heat. It is good if installed correctly but it has to be done to code up here or your fire insurance is void if there is a fire caused by the wood heater. When we bought our house there was a franklin stove in the basement and the only way we could get insurance was if we agreed that there would be no coverage for a fire caused by that stove. We never lit it and eventually took it out.
No progress on the N scale layout in the past few days. Seems like there isn't any time in the evenings and I'm usually too tired by 8 or 9 p.m. . I did run my HO for a little while last night. I did a little shunting with the 0-6-0 and 0-8-0. I need to put some pickups on the tender trucks of the 0-8-0 as it cuts out on some turnouts. I also plan on replacing the decoder. It is a Soundtraxx LC080 and it has a reputation for being picky on power interuptions plus the sound isn't very good. I'm thinking of a QSI Titan or one of those new Loksound Selects. It is really nice loco that deserves better.
Well enough rambling from me as it is bed time once again.
CN Charlie
WOW you guys talk a lot! Just catching up from a few days being out and about. I've had a little life catch up with me to keep me from getting online like I "normally" do.
Rob: Glad to see you back sir! I know that it'll be hard for you, but we are definitely still thinking about you and praying for you sir.
Ulrich: Sir, thank you so much for the lovely tour of Germany, its been a blast.
Well, I think I'm going to watch a little tv and then head to bed. Tomorrow is a slow day for me, I have to w**k at 1530 til close, so I'm free during the day to play around.
Speaking of our missing list, has ANYONE seen PC?
Evenin' Folks!
Just a decaf for me as usual.
Been busy today doing a lot of odds and ends and getting ready for the Scout meeting tomorrow night. I did get a bit more done on the Power House I am building for the Quarry Area. It is a Design Preservation Kit. Nicely made, but definitely helps to have done some similar types of kits before. The directions are very general and apply to everything in the series..... I am making it smaller anyway, and put entrances in some different places than what the directions said. I am almost done assembling the 6 walls to creat the full basic structure. Should have it together by tomorrow night. Some photos will be taken tomorrow, I will share. (THAT is a warning!).
Cajon Chef Ryan? Love his spices! Where's he at anyway? There are a whole lot of folks who used to be here regularly who seem to be in the missing. Tom W. from California hasn't posted in a while. Hope he is OK! PC hasn't been in in ages, and there are many others.....
Prayers for all in need!

Good Morning !!!
Hi Gang,
Just stopped by for a HC and a couple of oatmeal cookies before I slip off to bed.
ROB. as I think it was Lee that said Masonite is flammable, that is correct and do not use it. What you need is a "Fire Grade" 5/8" drywall or I think there is a cement board that can be used now that they have made asbestos obsolete. There has been much success with wood stove and pellet stoves the last number of years. I used to be up on that sort of thing but have not stayed abreast of it in a while. You continue to be in our prayers Buddy, think of you lots.
Ulrich, You have done an exemplary job as a Tour Guide, and I have truly enjoyed the wonderful sites of Germany. Thank you for all your effort in hosting us this past month. Dunkashayne (spelling ?)
Jeff, and BEANS to you too.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.
Garry, Glad your trip went well too. Safe and Sound, ya have to like that.
Jerry, Great progress on the "Crick Branch" I can't keep up to you with the landscaping. Is there going to be a Special Train for the last game of the WS. on the I&S.
Ken, Great to hear you being more upbeat lately. I hope that new store works out well for you.
I too, miss the Cajun Chef. Ryan, always added a nice flavor to the place, doncha think ?
CN Charlie and Seamonster, I'm continuing to send great fall weather your way, don't screw it up OK?
Sue, Finger Lakes Ray, Cape Jim, Barry, Lee AmanaMedic the many Tom's Galaxy, Bama, Curt, B-Lion and all others I hope the sun shines your way the next while..Always look forward to hearing what you are doing.
I am wondering where "Packer" has gone. He was always a regular and it is like he fell off the edge. And you are right about PC. Loather, OJ ED, Blazzin' Keith as well as others. Miss them all.
Night all, wonder where we will be in a weeks time. I am so excited I don't think I'll be able to sleep.
Ha Ha ha. Not likely. Sleep comes very easy to me.
Keep smiling Gang, it looks good on ya all.

Good Morning All,
The N-scale modular group is using eye-bolts for the moveable layouts so they can spin them with a screwdriver, but I doubt that would work for a home layout.
I wouldn’t try to put cement board on a ceiling, 5/8” drywall (fireboard) would be the best answer, put those double barrel stoves are not very efficient, they just through mass amounts of heat everywhere. The pellet stoves are good and now they have the same idea but it uses coal. They also have a corn furnace that burns feed corn, if you can handle the small of popcorn all day…
Woke up this morning and it was 56F, temp is falling as I type to our high today of 41F and heavy rain. My dog lost a nail so it’s off to the vets tonight…
Good Morning.
Going to be cloudy with sunny periods this afternoon..high of 47F expected..tonight will be clear and a low of 30F...
Have to do some stuff to the layout today..namely find why my switches won't switch...
Flo, I'll have a coffee and a breakfast bagel please..no!! not the 40lb one!! Just the regular sized one!! Sheesh!...I'll be at the RC for a bit..

Jeffrey, I thought they were 40' gondolas. It is amazing how the angle that you photo can change be deceiving. I am going to try my hand at resin casting. I just need to order the supplies. I hope that my junk loads will look as good as yours.
Garry, Ryan supplied the diner with some great meals. His modeling was top notch, and it would be good to see how he is doing.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Good Afternoon Folks,
we are enjoying calm autumn weather on the island of Rugen. Clear blue sky, but moderate temperatures (in fact, not above 5° C). The best weather for riding steam trains!
Later in the afternoon, we will leave the island and head for Bad Doberan. Tomorrow will be "Molli"-day. Molli is the nickname of the line between Bad Doberan and Kühlungsborn, a seaside resort of past fame. The name Molli has its origin in a young female´s dog, who happened to jump out of the running train and overtook it in the early days of the line.
Enjoy your day!

Good Morning!! Coffee and strudel please. Boy I’m gonna miss yhis stuff. I know I can get it any time, but it just doesn’t taste quite the same as it does here. No need to look at the weather page. It’s cold and drizzly out there now, so that’s the way it will stay. At least for me.

Boy if Jeff ate those beans as a snack last night, wouldn’t want to be within fifty miles of him for a while.
All I have to do is get an engine block out of Mom’s house and the one hair dryer someone wants. They live in Springfield and I’m not gonna pack it home to take it right back past where it was. Talked to the realtor he said the Title company says the closing is on the 31st, but he hasn’t heard when. Said they would call him and he would call me. I’d have thought they would have made an appointment by now, I mean, not counting the weekend, the 31st is day after tomorrow.
Garry- I assume Ryan is doing well? I hope so. I take it he still peeks in through the window from time to time.
And I third the raves on his spices. When things slow here, hopefully next week, I must get back on and check out the other flavor I wanted to try.
Rob- Got wondering last night just what Charlie said. Better check first. I see Lee has come back too.
Barry- I like many of the pics you post, but last nights has GOT to be one of the best!
Ya’ll have a Great Day!!!
